Alan Rickman absolutely steals this movie, he is awesome.😂
I agree.
SHADDUP YOU TWIT!
This movie wouldn't have worked with any other actor playing the Sheriff.
For sure. Alan Rickman is over the top in the best possible way in this film. He was a total comic book villain here.😄
‘Cause it’ll hurt more!
I give Kevin Costner a break on this movie. He only had three days break between finishing filming Dances with Wolves and starting filming on this movie. He asked the producers for more time off and they said no. So he had no time to prepare or perfect an accent. He did the best that he could.
Didn't know that.
Only 3 days break?!
That's crazy.
That was nuts.
I didn’t know this! He sure did! And it seems no one caught the “on & off” accent of Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (Maid Marion). But BOTH actors were perfect in their roles. As was Kevin in “Dances with Wolves”. Also, both Kevin & Mary Elizabeth are two of my favorite actors. Thanks for the info! And thanks for reading. 😊
Alan Rickman is brilliant in this
Brian Blessed, too, despite limited screen time. Love that man.
Omg, I totally forgot he was in this. 😂
The Friar's line, "Here's 30 pieces of silver, to pay the devil on your way to HELL!" is a line that goes hard.
Of course it does, cause it literally, follows immediately with him shoving the priest out of a 10 story window if not higher.
of course it does, he was basically calling him JUDAS.
Best “Go to Hell” line in history.
R.I.P Alan Rickman, what an amazing performance he did.
the best Sheriff of Nottingham ever.❣
Best Robin Hood film, without a doubt. Unusual one to react to, but I’m glad you have 🙂 This Alan Rickman performance usually gets overlooked when people go through his career. “I’m gonna cut your heart out with a spoon” is an amazing line. The theme song “Everything I Do” was Number 1 in the UK charts for like 16 weeks in a row
There were so many quotable lines from this movie. The two that my friends and I used a lot were, "Fuck me! He cleared it!" And, "You whine like a mule. You are still alive." Morgan Freeman gave such a good performance here.
Kevin Costner gets a lot of flack for this role because of his accent and such, but this is STILL my favorite Robin Hood live action movie. It's over the top, it has lots of cheese, takes itself too seriously sometimes, and yet... somehow it all works. It's a really fun and wonderful movie, even with its flaws.
We have no idea what a British accent sounded like at the time, anyway.
@@Rmlohner It didn't sound like any of the other actors in this movies, that's for damn sure.
AS a Belgian guy, so someone who saw the movie as a kid dubbed in French, i really had no qualms with his accent or whatever.
To me , and even to this day, it is one of the best movies of my childhood.
Agreed.
@@Rmlohnerwhat's truly ridiculous is assuming that the modern "British" accents heard in the movie are period accurate for a movie set centuries before modern times.
Came out when I was around 9 years old and singlehandedly the best Robin Hood movie ever made.
This movie changed the industry forever, and made a star of both Costner and Bryan Adams with the theme.
Ok, Costner gets jip for the accent, but I love him in this role.
It's also a childhood memory sitting with my sister watching this on VHS.
What I love is they don't shy from the nasty side of the times with pestilence and brutality, but at the same time managed to make a swashbuckler that is memorable and quotable.
One of the best movies ever made, and based on what started as a handful of incomplete poems that probably never actually happened.
There's also a few different versions of this film, some cut out Mortiana's relationship with Nottingham, and some don't.
Edit: I think what makes the American accent work, is that they had Will Scarlett have an American accent as well.
Plus this movie has the best parody of it ever also, Men in Tights was a great parody of this movie.
@@joemckim1183yeah they absolutely busted Costner's accent in Men in Tights; one of the best jokes of the film😂
WHat i love is that Rickman interpretation of the Sheriff is brilliant.
Morgan's and Costner banter and duo is amazing, but Rickman's gave its A game and made the Sheriff so memorable.
After Diehard, this was the movie that cemented Alan Rickman as a major movie villain character. His performance as an over-the-top bad guy where he can do from being silly (cancelling Christmas) to deadly evil is classic. He's basically the male version of Malificent in the original Disney's Sleeping Beauty.
I really prefer his performance of Hans Gruber (one of the most intriguing villains) much over this one.
Gruber was menacing, intelligent, and for most of the time had the upper hand in te plot.
The Sheriff however was a goofy, bumbling kind of comic book villain. The "And call off Christmas!" line did it for me, I couldn't take that character serious ever again.
I didn't follow the Harry Potter franchise much, so my favourite parts Alan did after "Die Hard" were in "Dogma", "Galaxy Quest" and a little detective movie named "January Man" with Kevin Kline and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (who played Maid Marian in this one.)
@@Cau_No How is Hans Gruber one of the most intriguing villains? I like Die Hard, and Rickman's performance, but I don't get much depth out of that character. Genuinely curious.
@@wichhouse Just read the sentence after the one you quoted, there I already explained why I liked him better as a character. The Sheriff wasn't a believable threat to the hero, but Gruber was, all the time.
My favorite depictions of villains in movies are Hans Gruber (Die Hard), Agent Smith (The Matrix), Hans Landa (Inglorious Basterds). To me they were the most convincing and you get to understand their motivations (without condoning their actions).
@@Cau_No Thanks for the reply.
It's a well made 90s medieval lore movie. Another one that is like this is the Three Musketeers from 1993, starring Kiefer Sutherland, Tim Curry etc. The actor(Michael Wincott) who played the Sheriff's cousin, Guy of Gisborne in this is also in that movie, where he plays the secondary villain next to Tim Curry's excellent performance of Cardinal Richelieu, Captain Rochefort. Another movie based on literature where Wincott also appear is the Count of Monte Cristo (2002). Wincott plays alot of villain roles in movies, he is also in The Crow, Along Came a Spider and Metro. He has also VA'd in video games, Halo 2 where he is the voice of the Prophet of Truth and Darksiders 2 where he voices the main character, Horseman Death.
Although short, he was also in Alien Resurrection. "Sure, son, I'll give you my authorization code. It's E A T M E." Such a cool line.
Oh excellent movie, Tim Curry, another one who plays a great villain. His take on IT scarred me for life, still freaks me out to this day, whereas the new one I find cute and not at all scary
You forgot to mention his brilliant performance in Alien:Resurrection.
Another song collaboration by Michael Kamen and Brian Adams (along with Sting and Rod Stewart)
Fun Fact: In the extended version, it is revealed that the Witch is Nottingham's MOTHER.
I must confess that since the first time I saw this movie, the moment that Little John is calling out to his life mate Fanny across the fiery chasm instantly brought tears to my eyes and does every time I watch it. Nick Brimble’s and Soo Drouet’s acting in that scene is flawless.
This film is the greatest Robin Hood movie ever made. And Hollywood either can't or refuses to learn from this movie in order to duplicate its success. Great reaction bros! 👍🏿
of course Gisburne is equally great as the Sheriff. He´s played by Michael Wincott who you guys saw as the main villain in The Crow and hopefully as Rochefort, the second-in-command of Cardinal Richelieu (Tim Curry!) in Disney 1993 The Three Musketeers.
IIRC the guys will have also seen him as the prison warden in the Jim Caviezel/Guy Pearce adaptation of _The Count of Monte Cristo._
He was also in "1492: Conquest Of Paradise".
Have you guys seen the 1993 version of Three Musketeers? If not, I highly recommend it. The actor who played the sheriff's cousin plays a right hand villain in that as well.
d’Artagnan!
I love that film!!
That film is as cheesy and over the top like this one is but I flipping love it. It has a great cast and is vastly underrated.
@eighthdoctor Yeah, it's a hell of a lot of fun. The cast looked like they a had a blast filming it lol
@@eighthdoctor Like pizza, the cheesier the better.
The beginning of this movie traumatized me as a kid, when we transfer from the picturesque view to a man screaming out of fear and agony. I honestly think this was the first jump scare of my life that made me cry.
Same here! The hand-severing was pretty awful for a kid to watch, and it was only years later that I ended up seeing the entire film.
Some fascinating facts and trivia for you: The tree scene at the beginning is the "sycamore gap tree" in Northumberland. The wall next to the tree is Hadrian's wall (73 miles long and built in 122AD.) It's known as one of the most photographed trees in UK. The fight scene with Little John is at Aysgarth falls in Leyburn, in the Yorkshire Dales, another stunning location. Alan Rickman was given opportunities by Director Kevin Reynolds to add to the script. The infamous line "You. My room, 10.30,' you, 10.45, and bring a friend" he created by asking for input from writer Peter Barnes and comedienne Ruby Wax. He knew these lines were working when all the crew started cracking up. The witch was played by Geraldine McEwan who is such a brilliant actress, she's very famous for playing Miss Marple for several years and that character could not be more different from Mortianna. Kevin Costner only had 3 days break between finishing Dancing with Wolves and starting this movie, so we can cut him some slack for accents which were a bit dodgy all round to be honest, apart from Alan Rickman, steal scening god. Who cares about accents when a movie is this fun and good. Glad you enjoyed it.
My favorite Robin Hood adaptation 👍🏻 Alan Rickman plays the sheriff soooo good!
GREAT REACTION!! This has ALWAYS been one of my all time favorite movies. I am SO glad you reacted to it! Another favorite movie of mine (also starring Kevin Costner) is "The Postman". It never seemed to get much attention, but the way it tells a story about an ordinary man who is forced by circumstances to become a hero is similar to "Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves". It is truly an epic tale (and it also has a GREAT music soundtrack). I would LOVE to see you react to it. As always I thoroughly enjoyed this reaction and look forward to seeing more of your reactions!
Brian Blessed's acting is on-par in this movie. Or, as the rest of us call it: His yelling.
I just love that Sean Connery as one of Scotland's most famous actors has played most of most well known English figures. Including here playing King Richard The Lionheart. Plus he's also played Robin Hood himself, King Arthur (possibly he was Welsh?) As well as James Bond the most famous English spy. And all with a Scottish accent. Oh yeah plus a Russian submarine commander. I don't think he's ever tried to do other accents for his roles.
Jason Connery, Sean Connery's son, also played Robin Hood in 1986 in the Robin of Sherwood series.
@@Dreamfox-df6bg yes I remember watching that when it came out. He replaced Michael Praed. Both of whom I had a bit of a crush on when I was younger.
@@Dreamfox-df6bgI remember that series.
Came on public television.
Didn't know he was Sean's son.
And we can't forget an Egyptian posing as a Spaniard. (Highlander)
And a dragon.
This is my favorite Robin Hood movie. Just a couple years ago I got ahold of the directors cut and it is amazing! It added several scenes that I thought were key points that were left out. Like all the people dressed in white cloaks that killed his father. They explain who they were and much more. Watch it if you can find it.
FYI-Sean Connery played Robin Hood in a 1976 movie called Robin & Marian...plus, Kevin and Sean were in The Untouchables together (a great movie, if you haven't already seen it) from 1987.
I saw this in the theater when i was a little girl with my grandmother and her best friend Evelyn. When Sean Connery appeared on screen at the end, they started squealing like little girls. Then they started fanning themselves going on about how unbelievably hot he was. It's something else when you see your own grandmother fangirling❤
36:33 Michael Wincott is such a great underrated actor. He was Top Dollar, the main villain in The Crow.
Lady Marian was played by Mary Mastrantonio, who was Mrs. Brigman in 'The Abyss'.
Will Scarlett was played by Christian Slater. A movie he's in I'd recommend is 'Pump Up the Volume' (1990).
Guy Gisborne was played by Michael Wincott, who was Top Dollar in 'The Crow'
Now that you've seen this, I'd suggest 'The Duelists' (1977), 'The Three Musketeers' (1993), starring Charlie Sheen and Tim Curry; and if you'd like something even more wild, 'Brotherhood of The Wolf' (2001).
The reverent sounding""Alan Rickman" when he took his mask off 👍
Fun facts, the guy that played Nottingham's cousin is the same actor that played the villain in The Crow. The other is the part where Robin & Azeam catapult over the castle wall & Will says "fuck me, he made it" was actually a blooper; they were just practicing the scene & testing the camera lighting, so just happened to catch that on film. During the editing the producer or whoever saw it & kept the clip.
Thanks for the video. Great reaction as always. I remember watching it in cinema. Loved it. What a blockbuster at that time. For that time really fast-paced and action-packed. Don't mind about the accents. Great cinematography, great balance between action and comedy. Still one of the very best Robin Hood movies around (Men In Tights is another - as you guys know). And what a cast. Alan Rickman is absolute gold here. Well, isn't he always? But also Freeman, Slater, Michael McShane as Friar Tuck and Nick Brimble as Little John.
It was a HUGE deal seeing Sean Connery in the theaters because he had previously played Robin Hood in the 70s so no one saw it coming, but loved the Easter Egg when it happened. This was before the internet and spoilers so it was a total surprise.
I saw this in the theatre as a teenager and I was mesmerized. I loved it and have since the first time I saw it. So many people (mostly younger people) hate on this film but its my favorite version of the Robin Hood movies.
What a movie! I love this movie. Reading the comments here though, I guess I didn’t realize I might not be in the majority…but I guess I just don’t care.
Sean Connery played Robin Hood in the movie Robin and Marion. To have him come in to play King Richard was a huge cameo.
You guys hit on something telling to the story, which I missed.
The contrast between Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham was clear throughout the movie. Robin a Christian, the Sheriff an Occultist, Robin a trustworthy subject of England’s king, the Sheriff a disloyal usurper-But the one I missed which you guys highlighted, was their inverse attitudes towards family. The sherif killed his cousin, and Robin was overjoyed to find out he had a brother.
That says it all.
Saw this in the theater when I was 8, I believe. It was pretty terrifying for a Robin Hood movie when I was that young.
I was excited to see your reaction to this! For me it’s the perfect popcorn movie-a well told story, swashbuckling action, stunning cinematography and characters you care about. It’s a simple formula that works because the filmmakers did it well. Thanks for watching it!
that Sean Connery cameo at the end is so damn Godlike. I remember seein this as a kid in the theater and I still can recall the whole theater gasping like you guys did lol
Alan Rickman (RIP) was a GOD among actors, his Nottingham was EPIC!
The reverence with which you both treated Alan Rickman's appearance was absolutely perfect and appropriate.
Still my favorite Robin Hood movie (in a tie with the still excellent Disney animated Robin Hood). Also one of the all-time best scores. That opening overture is just chef’s kiss.
This movie is just great 90s cheese. I remember loving this movie as a kid. "Because it's dull you twit it'll hurt more!' lol
I was in Jr. High when this movie came out and our band at school did a rendition of the main title theme from this movie and it was one of the most enjoyable things to play. I was on the timpani (big kettle drums) and the climax of the theme had some really challenging stuff. It's a totally rousing piece and it made me happy that you guys recognized it. I feel like movie scores haven't been like this in a very long time.
what a great classic! they never got it right after this one its still the best Robin Hood, wish they would make another one thats really good
When this movie came out it was one of the defining moments of my childhood. The local HEMA chapter set up a whole thing behind our theater. Had different weapons on display, full-contact sword fights between its members, and an archery area for kids to try their hand at.
What was originally what got me into the sport and bow hunting later on in high school. After I joined the military, that hobby kind of faded but I still look back on that period with a lot of fond memories.
Right from seeing this the first time in the theater I enjoyed it mostly because of the Sheriff. Alan Rickman was just amazing in this, you just love to hate him while crying with laughter - “… call of Christmas”, “… and bring a friend”, “I cut your heart out with a spoon”, him stabbing a plate in a temper tantrum… all most memorable lines are his. Sorry Kevin but I would have liked to see more of the Sheriff than the main character.
Glad the first thing you mentioned after Sean Connery was the soundtrack. RIP Michael Kamen.
YES! This was my Robin Hood growing up. The best one
9:05
"You deered to kill a King's dare!?" 0o
This movie was my childhood favourite, still can't believe my parents let me watch this
This is one of those films that was so huge, it also had its own toyline. Those toys were awesome
This movie and waterworld are awesome. Those 2 movies and the tv film Merlin (with Sam Neil) are movies me and my cousins watched with my grandma all the time growing up.
I was a sophomore in HS when this movie came out. We basically demanded that the music be our marching band show for the following year and our band director made it happen.
"Poor Duncan, he tried his best"
"Yeah he just didn't see it coming...."
I laughed so hard a chocked on my drink. Lol
This film is very near & dear 2me, I was 8yrs old when I saw this in theaters. It was also my introduction to Morgan Freeman, and next to Die Hard this is my second favorite Alan Rickman film.
Alan Rickman plays the BEST slimeballs; I love his little apoplectic tirades ("And call off Christmas!")
You guys are right about seeing this in a theater for the first time. It was pre-internet so there were no spoilers, leaks or theory channels. The King Richard reveal was a surprise.
The timing of "No. Severe differences." was perfect.
This movie was 3 years before The Crow so Michael Wincott (Guy of Gisbourne) worked his way up from Number 2 Bad Guy to the lead baddie (Top Dollar).
Yes we all had the same reaction at Sean Connery's entrance in the theaters. There was a kind of collective gasp among the audience.
Here's a list of great movies I've never seen anybody do a reaction video on. On the Waterfront (1954),M*A*S*H (1970), Patton (1970), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), Gallipoli (1981), Wall Street (1986) and La Bamba (1987).
Micheal Wincott plays the Sherrifs cousin. He's great in The Three Musketeers also, 1993 version with Kiefer Sutherland, Chris O'Donnell, Oliver Platt, and Xharlie Sheen. Tim Curry plays a great main villain. You guys should watch that one.
The music video of the film is the classic song "Everything I Do I Do it for You" performed by Bryan Adams. Thank you guys for reacting Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves starring Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and Alan Rickman.
This movie was filmed where I live. They used the same castle for Harry Potter etc.
Best Robin Hood film ever.
I swear both Alan Rickman and the guy who played Friar Tuck were the best characters in this movie.
Rickman especially plays such an over-the-top evil villain. You guys should check out "Quigley Down Under" to see more of Alan Rickman being the best bad guy ever.
"Unlike some other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent." ... Oh, wait 😂😂😂
Seriously though, my dad took me to very few movies at the Theater but this was one of them... I'll always watch it 😁
Oh, hells yeah! This is one of my fav movies growing up, and it makes me so happy that you guys managed to get to it. Even when I didn't even think of it. To me, it was such a great spin on the tale of Robin Hood. Not to mention weaving in a character like Morgan Freeman's Azeem in a believable way that doesn't feel forced. God this was such a great flick. Looking forward to seeing what else ya'll have in store. Until then, take care and have a good one!
P.S.
Also, when you can, I still do HIGHLY recommend "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)", "Broken Arrow (1996)", "Assassins (1995)", and "Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins (1985)" for ya'll to react to. Believe me, you won't be disappointed. 😉👍
The van my family took on vacation had a VCR and a TV so we basically watched this movie on a 12 hour loop every time we went to Myrtle Beach.
OMG!!! I'm so happy you watched this movie. Me and my friend quote it all the time. Now Quick, you have to watch Robin Hood Men in Tights, its a direct parody. You get drunk and watch them back to back, gold my dude. Next time one of you can't finish your meal the other has to scream., "...are you going to finish what you've STARTED!!!" Great video guys!
They did a Men in Tights reaction a year or so ago. It's great.
@@oriole21bird I remembered after I clicked send lol, they should totes watch them back to back tho, the jokes land so hard
Michael Kamen’s two major themes for Robin Hood and for Marian are beautifully sweeping and romantic (the latter forming the melody for the Brian Adams song).
This is not only one of my favorite Robin Hood movies but also, one of my favorite Alan Rickman movies. He's just an absolute savage in this movie as the Shariff of Nottingham. He's got some real funny moments in this movie at times too. I don't think it's his top performance though. I think his best villain performance was in Die Hard, and he did a hell of a job as Professor Snape in Harry Potter. Damn shame we lost him due to cancer that he had been battling for a while.
@OctoKrool the person who played the sheriff's cousin is michael wincott, he was also in a film you watched the crow where he played the main villain and among other good films to which he is an underrated actor
one of the things that makes the hero, Robin Hood, different from most heroes (then or now) or in truth most Robin Hoods, is that he was not viriuous, noble, kind, or even innocent as a child, he was hurt from the loss of his mother at a young age, but as a child (both before and after), he was a bully, a spoiled brat, he was not a good child (some due to grief, but probably not all), he liked to torment people, probably was a snob, treated servants and peasants poorly he was not what you maght think or see of "a hero as a child", he was changed by war, changed by death, changed by captivity....he doesn't want to fight, he'd rather live in peace, but he stands up for a cause and willfight for what is needed (and not for his own wealth or titles, or even revenge as his vow may leave you to believe...Peter was probably his only friend (equal or greater level of nobility ), everyone else who knew him as a boy and even his own words towards his father....he was a bully, a coward, a snob, hateful, angry, spoiled and he ran off to play soldier and knight, to hurt his father, and to be a hero (definitely not reality) and was changed by it
as good as an innocent, noble child growing up to be a self sacrificing hero is , other kind of heroes are also good...some are born heroes, and some are made
ultimate film lesson : always watch the spoof after the original movie.
even with lethal weapon you messed up a little, by watching the spoof before completing all four movies.
I saw this in the movie theater when it came out. Two scenes had the entire audience cheering. Friar Tuck lecturing on the wonders of beer and the totally surprise appearance of Sean Connery as King Richard. Not one preview so much as hinted that Connery was in the movie.
This is the best Robin Hood. I remember this shit when I was a kid. It made me love the Middle Ages. Alan Rickman is the Fucking Man in this movie. Alan Rickman funniest movie.
I Love ❤️ this movie, I must have watched it every other day for about 5 years straight. Alan Rickman played wonderful baddies he was by far the best in this movie, had some brilliant lines, a very funny yet nasty character.
Michael Kamen's soundtrack for this is a masterpiece - to this day - it continues to be my go-to to test the range of a speaker
eceiver.
I love this movie, and not many reactors see it, so thank you!
Oh man this was one of my all time fave movies growing up. I had it on VHS and watched it a million times. I had such a crush on Kevin Costner/ Robin Hood even though he’s old enough to be my grandpa. And Alan Rickman is the perfect villain.
This is my favorite Robbin hood movie hands down
9:39 a whelp is an old school word for a premature dog used up till the 16th century when (it was thought to be Shakespeare who coined the word) people started using the word Puppy.
Still used for a boy in my language.
This is the version of Robin Hood that Mel Brooks did the parody Robin Hood Men in Tights.
This one got lots of hate for but it's still in my top 3 favorite versions of Robin Hood.
Yet ANOTHER iconic, fantastic, awesome movie from my childhood. Keep up the hard work, boys.
Saw this when it originally came out, the Sean Connery cameo got a huge roar from the audience.
Blinkin is NOT useless! He caught the crossbow arrow aimed at Robin!
Fun Facts: (1) The fanfare from the theme song became the fanfare played during the production company's logo before every other film it made after this one; (2) Kevin Costner's accent is probably closest to what a British accent would have sounded like at the time of anyone in the cast, because the British sounded more like Americans centuries ago, and diverged after colonization began; (3) "Historians believe that Richard the Lionheart spoke French and Occitan, and that it was likely that he never learned to speak English."
36:48 If you want to see him play the #1 villain you guys have to watch: The Crow 😊
They watched it last year but didn't recognise hime

this movie is so good, my favorite kevin costner movie for sure!
Now you gotta see Disneys RobinHood, one of the best versions in existence 😋
The song "I Do it For You" by Bryan Adams has always been my favorite song. Have you ever seen the animated movie Spirit has his songs. And the music and movie is so good in that one too.

I was in like 8th grade when this came out and I loved it. In high school I read the book adaptation of it.
Love your reactions... Sean Connery and Kevin Costner had just finished making The Untouchables... hence the cameo of Connery ❤
Looking forward to your next reaction!
2 titbits
1. There was a Robin Hood TV movie in the works at the same time as this one. Among other good actors they had Uma Thurman as Maid Marian. In the middle of filming they got word that Kevin Costner's Robin Hood was in the works. I've seen it and it starts out well, but at some point it looks like everyone, from the director and the actors simply gave up and only went through the motions. No TV production could live up to a major Hollywood production and with both coming out in the same year their movie was doomed.
2. This was the last really successfully Robin Hood movie. Interestingly every Robin Hood movie afterwards (not counting Men in Tights) went further and further away from the original legend and the characters became less and less recognizable. Until the one from 2018, which most people don't even remember. The historical inconsistencies were so bad that even people that usually ignore such details couldn't stand them and the characters have become unrecognizable. Or so I heard.
This is a great movie and one of the best Robin Hood. A lot of what was in Robin Hood Men in a tights is based off this version.
I grew up on this movie. Had it on vHS and DVD and man, Bryan Adam's song was a HUGE hit! Theres also so many quotable lines from this as well.
A great Christian Slater action move to check out is Broken Arrow. Bonus - it also stars John Travolta!
OMG perfect timing, I just read a post on Facebook today on how this movie was pretty bad but Alan Rickman stole the show (he was given creative license, he didn't like the basic script much either.)
Excited to watch, let's go!
"A snake on a plate?"
Snakes On A Plate is the sequel.
Planes weren't a thing yet.
I know so many people hate on this movie... but I love it. Loved it from the first time watching it... and yeah Sean Connery RIP... Miss that man... I could listen to his voice over and over and never tire of it. Him and James Earl Jones... Love them both. Oh and you get Alan Rickman as the villain... super awesome... can't beat that.
