      Hey, Can you do what if Arthur beats Ned Stark and Howland Reed's party at the tower of joy? Rhaegar is still dead just Arthur killed the party. What would happen to the baby(Jon) and what would come out of this event? I think this would be a good what if situation and video to make and discuss. Thanks.

    I don't think Sansa planned to live in that scene. I think she was planning on grabbing Joffrey and dragging both of them off the battlements to their deaths.

    I recall a "touching" speech Roose Bolton gave to Ramsay where he went into detail about how he had raped his mother. In the speech, Roose told Ramsay that he had thought of throwing his infant son into a well until he had looked into his eyes and saw the pale irises that marked him as a Bolton.
    A father's fancy was the only reason Ramsay was spared, so I ask, "What if Roose killed Ramsay as a child?"

    In the actual book, Sansa did have the thought to push joffery. But due to her recent loses she also thinks about falling with joffrey by tackling the boy king and falling to their deaths. But was stopped by the hound before she could do anything.
    So realistically sansa would die on her own accord and not be executed or freed by our beloved clegane. Good theory tho.

      bluewaffle74ab it seems she was nice generally, especially with how much Cersei, Jaime, and Tywin loved her. But with regard to Cersei and Jaime we can’t really know how much of that is just a lack of them having a mother for very long and it’s just childhood nostalgia or if Joanna is actually nice

    • @fableSimmer
      @fableSimmer 4 роки тому +5

      That’s an interesting one. The dynamic would most definitely be different. Much like this video you’d have to put it into several possible scenarios.
      1. Tyrion’s mother loves him and holds him as special.
      2. Tyrion’s mother turns his nose at him and believes him unworthy because he’s an imp.
      In both scenarios what stays mainly the same is that Tywin is a hard ass. And as a Lannister he expects great things from his kids who have the honour and privilege to carry the family name. Which is no different than the reality.
      In the first scenario we assume the same things while they’re young. Cersei is mean to him because she’s just mean and Jamie is always looking out for him. Tywin is harder on Tyrion not because of any particular hatred or disappointment but because of the disadvantages he knows his son will face. I’d like to believe that because of his wife, Tywin is a little softer on Tyrion to an extent. Which isn’t a lot, cause he’s Tywin. After all, a lot of his distasteful attitude toward Tyrion is because he’s a drunk who spends all his time and money with whores. But would Tyrion be doing those things if he had a bit more respect and love from his mother being around? If that’s the case Tyrion may even be more respectable and proper, which could create Cersei to become jealous because maybe he gets more attention, causing conflict later on. With Jamie on the Kingsguard perhaps Tyrion may actually get to inherit Casterly Rock which maybe causes Cersei to lash out, thus resulting into some mini Lannister civil war.
      Scenario 2 we will say that perhaps his mother wants to either have Tyrion as an infant killed or taken away to avoid the shame of his “deformity”. But Tywin is against this as he once said to Tyrion that “men’s laws give him the right to bear his name” since he could not prove that Tyrion wasn’t his. Which means he his a man who respects the law. But let’s pretend in one situation he is willing to try and prove or even fake that Tyrion. So Tyrion is disowned. I’m not sure what the consequences would be for adultery but we can assume it’s not good. So for this reason, we are going to say Tywin would except Tyrion is his. So Tyrion grows up with his mother even showing disdain which causes a complex of him trying to get her attention and love. This results in him either trying to be the perfect son and Lannister or someone who’s constantly getting in trouble through fights or stealing. Of course in another situation let’s say Tywin again says no we keep him because he’s a Lannister and his wife goes against him and tries to abandon or kill him, which she’s put to death for and thus Tyrion is responsible for his mother’s death and everything happens the same more or less.

  • @FinnishDragon

    If Sansa would have pushed Joffrey to his death then no one would blame Tyrion killing Joffrey which would mean that Tywin would still be alive. As long as the Old Lion would be alive the Lannisters would not fall.
    Also, Margaery would most likely marry Tommen because she wanted to be the Queen. Cersei would probably be a bit more sane because she would know who to blame on Joffrey´s death. As long as Tywin would be alive there would not be a power struggle between Cersei and Margaery meaning that ultimately Margaery would not be incinerated.

    Without Joffrey then Roberts bastards wouldn't be killed, therefore Gendry and Arya would reach Rob as no one was coming after them, therefore Jaime is killed by the Karstarks, Boltons also stay loyal, therefore the Freys aren't as necessary to assault Casterley Rock so Red Wedding never happens.

  • @zwintv4637
    @zwintv4637 7 років тому +151

    I agree with your theory great work as always but one BIG thing to take under consideration if Joffrey dies than the whole killing Roberts bastards doesn't happen so Yoren doesn't get killed by the Lannister guards and succeeds in his mission to take Arya home to Winterfell. So if your 2nd theory is correct and Sansa is killed then Robb would have no reason to keep Jaime alive.

      it's also likely that he may have the Vale side with the north to help kill the Lannisters as the with his spy's found out about Robb promise to "kill them all" in regards to the Lannisters he may have help them. something to remember is that the north was the weakest side in terms of numbers even with the North, Riverlands and the Vale they where still outnumbered by every other king in the war

    I LOVE that I just found your channel. I've ever wanted these theories. I will disagree with one tiny thing, though - Cersei wouldn't have tortured Sansa. Torture for revenge isn't a common thing in Westeros, with the exception of the Boltons, who torture people because they're into it, and that's a big no no for everyone else. Cersei tortures that asshole nun at the end of S6 because she's basically gone apeshit. Whenever a high born dies in some horrible way, it's a big deal, like the Martell lady or Lyanna Stark (except not really). The Mad King was notorious for torturing prisoners to death, which is part of the reason he was known as the Mad King. If Cersei had tortured Sansa, not for information, but for revenge, I think it would cause much greater instability in the South, and it would unite the North much stronger against the Lannisters.

    What if Ellia Martell were given safe passage back to Dorne with Rhaenys and Aegon Targaryen by Tywin Lannister? Or What if Ellia Martell fled King's Landing as soon as her Husband's Death news arrived? Knowing that to the south of King's Landing are Allies of Targaryens, Ellia should be easily go through the Stormlands into the Tyrells army that's besieging Storm's End for safe passage to Dorne, or even go straight through The Reach into Highgarden then go to Dorne.

    Basically what if Renly accepted Stannis' terms and him and his bannermen joined Stannis? How would this have affected the Tyrell's? Would they have stuck by Renly because of Loras or would they have left? (Unlikely I know)
    At the same time what if the Lannister's accepted Robb's terms on the condition that he helped them fight off the now unified Baratheon brothers. (EXTREMELY unlikely, but that's what what ifs are for)
    Who would the Tyrell's side with and who would come out the winner?

    Wouldn't Arya be able to make it to Rob because the night's watch recruits she was travelling with wouldn't be stopped. Joffery was the one that ordered Roberts bastards to be killed so would Arya make it safely to Rob. This would mean Jaime would die and the Freys would be less less likely to make the red wedding happen. Especially with Rob not killing Lord Karstrak because his son wouldn't die due to Jaime.

  • @MaxwellAerialPhotography
    @MaxwellAerialPhotography 7 років тому +1

    as far as the whole arya thing goes. Since Joffery is no longer King the massacre of the bastards never happens, which means that the Nights Watch caravan is never attacked and continues to the wall in good order. At the pace they were going it's likely that Arya would have made it back to the Starks before the end of season 2 which possibly averts the Red Wedding since people like Roose Bolton and Walder Frey no longer see the Starks as being so weak (assuming that Sansa got executed) the Stark faction in now in possession of the sole valuable hostage.

    Loved this video, though i disagree on one detail, with Sansa dead, I don't think Jon would die in battle, mainly because he wouldn't have gone to battle in the first place, he probably would have stayed in castle black and wouldn't have fought the boltons because, as you said, it was Sansa who convinced Jon of attacking Winterfell. This means that Azor ahai would be alive to fight the dead.

    You're forgetting that Tyrion was blamed for jofferys death at the purple wedding. So if there's no purple wedding, there's no tyrion trial. No trial, then Tywin doesn't die, the spider stays at kings landing, tyrion stays with the Lannisters and never joins denerys.The hound would probably be killed for letting joffery die on his watch. Without the tension of the purple wedding, the destruction of the sept would probably never happen, changeing the series completely. No sept destruction means no Tommen suicide, meaning tommen lives as king with Tywin as his hand. And Lady stark wouldn't let Jamie go for the trade if an unconfirmed daughter, meaning he would probably die at the red wedding.

  • @wanderlustwarrior
    @wanderlustwarrior 7 років тому

    I don't know if anyone's stated this, but if word gets out that Sansa dies, even in a just killing, then Robb has to keep an even tighter grip on Jaime (who irrespective of this attempts to escape), because the one-for-one bargaining chips are even more important. Also, the real Arya's probably going to find out Sansa got killed, from rumors and such, and she might name Cersei to Jaqen or might have been taken straight to the Starks by Yoren.

  • @shannonleigh9870
    @shannonleigh9870 7 років тому

    >When Caitlyn herself died, Littlefinger was already looking to where he could play his next piece. Littlefinger would risk a lot to be with either Sansa or Caitlyn, partly because of desire and partly for the power either marriage would bring him, but Petyr would never act on revenge. He's too self-serving for that. Littlefinger would probably plot to save Sansa from a trial if she killed Joffrey but if she died he would simply move on.
    > Sansa and the Hound would not escape the city after murdering the king and I doubt the Hound, being the realist he is, would even risk it. Sansa would end up on trial.
    >The Lannisters wouldn't let the king die without justice, not even for Jamie.
    >Tyrion would not have been antagonised by king joffery or put on trial so he would probably still be in kings landing which is another plus for house lannister
    > the city would be more peaceful under Tommens rule. The faith would not have been as aggressive and tyrion would not have made the same mistakes as cersei.
    > no trial for tyrion because of death of joffery, means tywin would not have been killed either so thats noteworthy. another reason why the faith militant wouldnt have happened.
    > jamie might have died at the hands of the starks but he hasnt done much for the lannisters recently other than taking riverrun which tywin or tyrion could have done if they we're still playing for house lannister
    >no mad queen
    > less wildfire
    >no dead tyrells
    >no angry tyrells
    > no angry martels because tyrions trial by combat didn't happen
    basically house lannister would be ruling peacefully perhaps without jamie but with a few more allies and active house members. so no sansa, don't push him

    Bacon..
    ...is a meat product prepared from cured pork. It is first cured using large quantities of salt, either a brine or a dry packing. Fresh bacon may then be dried for weeks or months in cold air, or it may be boiled or smoked. Fresh and dried bacon are typically cooked before eating, often by frying. Boiled bacon is ready to eat, as is some smoked bacon, but they may be cooked further before eating. Bacon is prepared from several different cuts of meat. It can be made from the pork belly or from back cuts, which has less fat than the belly.
    Bacon may be eaten smoked, boiled, fried, baked, or grilled. It is eaten on its own, as a side dish (particularly in breakfasts), or used as a minor ingredient to flavour dishes (e.g., the club sandwich). Bacon is also used for barding and larding roasts, especially game, including venison and pheasant. The word is derived from the Old High German bacho, meaning "buttock", "ham" or "side of bacon", and is cognate with the Old Frenchbacon.
    Meat from other animals, such as beef, lamb, chicken, goat, or turkey, may also be cut, cured, or otherwise prepared to resemble bacon, and may even be referred to as "bacon". Such use is common in areas with significant Jewish and Muslim populations, both of which prohibit the consumption of pigs. For safety, bacon may be treated to prevent trichinosis, caused by Trichinella, a parasitic roundworm which can be destroyed by heating, freezing, drying, or smoking.

    The Starks would ask for proof of life for Arya. So Jaime's death would only be temporarily delayed. They already thought it was strange that the there was no mention of Arya in Sansa's note. The lannisters would have no proof. Even if they came up with some b.s. I'm not sure it would work. If Sansa was killed I don't think Rob would be as patient with Jaime.

    In my opinion, the Red Wedding most likely wouldn't have happened, because of the sequence of events that followed if Sansa dies:
    - If Sansa dies, Catelyn most likely wouldn't free Jaime, meaning he would've been hauled off somewhere (most likely Riverrun)
    -If Jaime is at Riverrun (or somewhere else), he doesn't kill Rickard Karstark's son, causing him to go mad and kill Lannister prisoners that the Starks had (Willem and Martyn)
    -If Rickard Karstark doesn't kill Willem and Martyn, he doesn't get beheaded by Robb and the Karstark Army would stay loyal to the Starks
    -If the Karstarks stay loyal, Robb doesn't have to grovel to the Freys (even though he betrayed them by marrying Talisa instead of Roslin)
    -If Tywin finds out Jaime is being held captive at Riverrun, he probably wouldn't risk the Red Wedding

  • @demisaysstuff
    @demisaysstuff 7 років тому

    Sansa, as a noble lady, would be entitled to a trial whatever her father's loyalties and with the number of people who want her alive at this point--particularly Littlefinger--she'd probably be able to push for a trial by combat that she would win. The Crown would likely pick Sandor Clegane. I think Littlefinger's pick would be someone loyal to the Tullys or the Arryns. This is still around the time of Joffrey's nameday tourney, so there would be plenty of Knights for Petyr to choose from. Considering the type of man he is, he probably has already discovered a champion who could defeat Sandor Clegane in personal combat. With Jamie gone, people actually stand a chance in a trial by combat against the crown. Also at this point, Varys would want Sansa alive meaning she would be quite safe from assassins in the black cells (which he controls) possibly even coming up missing on the day of her trial. I see Sansa changing hands after killing Joffrey, but leaving King's Landing very much alive and very much sooner. I think in Varys's hands Sansa ends up safely in Essos under Illyrio's care until a more opportune time to deliver her to the North, or else going to the Tyrells. Littlefinger, I believe, would send her to the safety of the Eyrie until he's ready to continue with his plan.
