SOLID video Rachel - I really love your approach to helping people see themselves within their habits. I just grabbed your book - excited to share it with my family (I think your approach will really work with my daughter, Lana!)
1. I'm a hardcore saver 2. I'm a mix. Nerd/Free spirit. I want to enjoy life, but man excel (one of my best friends) 3. Experiences for sure! Things waste away. 4. I'm mixed again. Probably lean to Quality. 5. Safety. (Trying to building a rental portfolio so if I do lose a job, I am completely self-sufficient) 6. Trying to be more Abundance. It's important to help others 7. Planned giver. I don't want my money wasted by others.
things are required for some experiences such as a sports car, a video game system, even a fitness watch to gauge your performance if you really want to improve, and i can go on. do you want a nice night of sleep? you need a good bed and comforter with air conditioning and heat. things have their place and are very important to get the best result out of an experience.
@@Video-Games-Are-Fun i agree with you and there are things that are needed and make life much better. However, between choosing a video game console and games, I'd rather go on a vacation.
@@GregActonCPA you missed the point. the video game and console lead to the experience of interactive entertainment. you aren't buying pieces of plastic and metal to sit in your home. for vacation, you still need to buy stuff such as medicine, supplies like scuba gear swimming suit, earplugs for the plane etc. stuff is ALWAYS needed, even to go for a walk (comfortable sneakers)
@@Video-Games-Are-Fun I'm afraid my last comment may have come off rude. I apologize for that.. I totally get where you are coming from. You have to buy things to have a good experience. :)
I’m a nerd-spender. This makes me exceptional at “creative” accounting lol. I remember my late husband would ask if there was enough money in the budget for something and I would answer, “I can make it work...”
I feel like I have changed with maturity. When I was younger I was a spender wildly out of control who enjoyed buying things. Now 10 years later I'm a nerd who is super in control and likes experiences over things.
Cash flow problem may stem from back taxes. Levy, garnishment, lien, collection notices, snowballing penalties, refinancing/property sale issues due to tax lien need to be confronted. Find a reliable and professional company to find customized resolution options for a permanent relief from the IRS and state.
Wow this is sooo insightful... In my previous relationship we were opposite... And there was a lot of friction... This is very insightful and educative...
I think I'm a quality person which I think can make it tough in areas like forgiveness and way rather have a couple of amazing friends instead of lots friends that sometimes let you down and I see that because I care about quality when I mess up I beat my self up about it!! so thank you so much for helping see this by this video!!!
A lot of mine I do one naturally (spend) , but then when thinking about it, I’m like, I should have done this (save) instead and thought it out more. My actions are the spontaneous free-spirit giver but after it’s done, my mind recollects the thoughts and it’s a “I should have been more cautious and checked that out.”
This video was amazing! Soooo eye opening. My favorite part was when you said to ask yourself "if no one's ever saw this, would I still want it". I've literally never thought of that. Life changing! It's funny because me and my husband are literally opposites in all 7 areas hahaha
saving is important however with every age and decade in your life, there are certain experiences that can only be had then. you cannot do a lot of things at age 40 that you can at 20 and WON'T DO just because your brain has changed, and that includes things like having an amazing fast sports car, or doing extreme sports activities which do require spending. the other thing is you can die any day. death does not make an appt. if you have an opportunity, i say go for it. money can always disappear or you will age out of milestone experiences of youth and that is not a good way to go through life. once you are old, you are old. your brain maturity has changed and your body can't take those hits anymore nor does it have the energy to pursue things that young people can and do.
1. I am a spender but I allocate funds for this. Became debt free after a long debt free journey. 2. I am a nerd as I budget for everything. But I can also be flexible. 3. Experiences like travel and dining out with others. 4 Quantity. I am a prepper for food, toiletries, medications & stationery. 5. Safety. 6. Abundance. 7. Spontaneous giver.
Great video. I used to be an extreme spender - definitely a 🛒 shopaholic and it got me into debt. I'm now reformed and are a really great saver and investor. My wife and I love experiences instead of stuff. We aim to go for a 🧘 Spa day and massage every month, and just like you...we eat out at 🍛 restaurants a couple of times per week We are planned givers - we donate money to feed 🚸 children and families who can't afford food every month.
I believe in saving some but also enjoying today. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not guaranteed. I don't believe in storing it all up for "tomorrow." Nope. Got to have a balance.
The best way to solve your money problems is to abolish money. There, I said it. I’m grateful for everything you and Dave Ramsey do to help people become successful with money. But, at the end of the day, the financial system is fundamentally broken and it needs to change.
I eat out wherever whenever....just create income that covers it...my parents live and die on the penny....and it's so annoying.....you got 2 pensions and 2 social securities with no debt.....I already have more at 34...but really?

"Take a deep breath - everything is going to be OK, Nerds" - LOL! xx
People get to be free spirits because there is a nerd behind the scenes making the budget work out. 😀
Lol!
Yes ma’am. I’m the nerd in the relationship and it is very stressful
“If no one saw this... would I still want this?” GOLD.
You are so optimist and full of joy all the time! You make my day beautiful!
The best money advice video I've watched so far! Especially with scripture references. Love it 💛💛 thanks Rachel. God bless

Just follow the trail
Who's got the money and what do they spend it on
Ohhh this gave me a bucketload more insight than I was anticipating. It's really got me to recognise some of my more questionable money habits.
Love your videos
Thank you, this was so interesting and gave me another perspective on my spending habits. 🤔

Proud Latina nerd over here.
Free spirit. 🧐
I wish I could get a hold on the book. Living in Malaysia and I'm not able to get it here. 😅
