Short video to help you use the LightKeeper Pro to fix your miniature light set. Truly amazing product that many times can fix your light set in seconds.
Wow...this is amazing, one click and my section of lights came back on! I also could see where my bad bulb was and it was easily replaced. My 9' pre-lit tree was not cheap and didn't look forward to buying another...now I don't have too. Thank you so much, your video is 8 years old and still contributing.
I was skeptical but this thing works. My 6 year old, 900 light tree looks new again. One section took some work but once I figured it out it was all good. Like the insert says, be patient. Would recommend!
For years, I've struggled with lights on my tree (900 lights and an 11-light star for a 6-foot tree), which I've nicknamed my Clark Griswold Christmas Tree. Each year, I'd get the lights out to test before putting them on the tree and then struggle with checking each bulb on the sections that wouldn't light. The other night at Lowes, I saw this gadget and thought I'd give it a try since it wasn't too expensive. Earlier today, I started testing the lights, and a section of the first string wouldn't light. I got out the Light Keeper Pro, and it lit the lights that were good. I put the bulb back in, and I could instantly see which bulbs were out and needing replaced. No more going bulb-to-bulb to find the problem, saving me time with getting the lights around! Thanks for a great product!
So glad I bought this. Tried to get one at the end of last season (fortunately the lights went out just a couple of days before we were going to take the tree down anyway) , but they were sold out everywhere. Got one early this year, and it was either this thing works or I have to buy a whole new tree. Instructions are very detailed and daunting, but just followed along with the video and it turned out to be easier than the written instructions make it seem. Worked like a charm and I couldn't be happier. Thank you LightKeeper Pro!
It did help me, but I wasn't able to track the problem on the tree arms since they are too close to each other. I primarily used it to test the elements I used to switch out the burned out bulbs. Thanks
I love the slight keeper pro I'm 11and I'm who decorates my house with Christmas light so I use that a lot and it's November so I really love Christmas
Working on getting lights ready for Christmas in July. 2 questions: What does it mean when you have a 3 wire set and the first half is dark, 2nd half lights. What does it mean when you insert a good bulb in the socket and it lights briefly and then doesn't?
Apparently if you have a tree with pre-lit bulbs you can’t run the detector through since it’s not a continuous line of sight. Am I right? And when I plugged in the empty light socket and clicked it many times it didn’t help light up anything at all. But I went through each bulb by hand and ended up fixing the unlit section of the tree.
I know this is super old but does anyone know why the shunt fixer isn’t working on my pre lit tree? It has three sections, and only half of the second section is out. It’s driving me nuts. I’ve gone around the whole thing pulling lights off to fix it.
It looks like voltage is lower in a section where the bulbs are working and after them the buttons that are out have good voltage. Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be?
I bought it last week in desperation as two strings were out on pre- lit tree; it worked. After reading the instructions I got busy and replaced any and all burned out bulbs.I am happy.
This works, BUT Putting the tree to bed today, I went through the five sections of the tree to fix secti9ons that were bad. These lights are wired to the tree: 1. It wont find a loose bulb. That was my problem on two sections that I found by accident. intermittent
Wait, wouldn't the only bulbs that have built in bypass shunts be the bulbs on "one light burn out, others stay on" light sets? One of the things I have always known about light sets that do not advertise "the rest stay on" on their packaging is they all go off when one light burns out.
Great question! Actually, shunts are quite standard within incandescent light sets. There are other light set designs that include not only shunts within the bulbs, but also "springs" or metal contacts within the socket that will come together and close when a bulb is removed, therefore completing the circuit and carrying electricity throughout the set as a shunt would within a bulb. Unfortunately, those sets fail also -- sometimes the "springs" don't close properly, the shunts did not activate and the bulb is still in place so the spring cannot close, etc. Either way, the LightKeeper Pro will be there to help!
Hi Jose Angarita , If you have tried the Quick Fix Method already, and nothing happened, then you know you are not dealing with a Shunt issue. You then need to move on to the Audible Voltage Detector. You can see our short 3 min video on how to use this feature under Instructional Videos on our LightKeeper Pro website. After viewing this video, please don't hesitate to call us at 888-858-2548 to speak to a technician.
I bought mine at a garage sale for a couple bucks. Nothing works as advertised anymore and I expected the same here, but I had enough hope to waste $2 on it. I've been working on this outdoor reindeer with a tangled mess of circuits and half the reindeer wouldn't light no matter what I did. Well Son of a Bitch, as sleepy Joe exclaimed after his criminal extortion of Ukraine... It worked. It took me all of 2 minutes to get the reindeer lit, and that's only because I was using it for the first time. Unbelievable. It actually worked. I think I'll put this under lock and key.
I love my LightKeeperPro and have told many people to buy it. But scanning a circuit on a pre-lit tree is not as easy as shown in the video on your website. At least not on a quality tree. Ugh!
Thanks for the feedback 1mediaguy. We are always here to support you...even if you just need a quick pep talk before you dive into your tree issues. We are available to assist in troubleshooting at 888-858-2548 Mon-Fri 9am-5pm CST (between Thanksgiving and Christmas, we are open 7 days a week).
This product is very good but I've had plenty of instances where it just doesn't fix the lights, even when it clearly detects the faulty location. It's worth buying, but don't expect it to fix every strand.
Hi Hector, you can determine if the fuses are the issue without removing them by taking another functional light set and plugging it into the female end of the light set in question. If the secondary light set illuminates, then we know the fuses are not the issue. You also have a fuse tester at the top of your LightKeeper Pro, but due to the fragility of fuses and since they are typically not the issue, we try to avoid removing them from the male plug of the light set. Please give us a call at 888-858-2548 if you have any further questions.
Indeed; we have a pre-lit tree with the TOP string out. Will try this as soon as it arrives (today we hope). I just saw this advertised a few days ago - things I miss not watching TV?
@ch1cag1 If you would still like to fix that last one, go ahead and check out our website for more instructional videos or call us at 88-858-2548 so we can further help you.

Awesome tool! I fixed my 2 Xmas trees and 3 Garland light sets. Thanks so much!
Perfectly articulated instructions! Well done, folks.
This video is so wholesome! Thanks for a great product, I repaired two trees!
Jenna came to my house and fixed my lights, she now rents a room and is on call 24 hours a day..Great company great service..
LOL!
Thank you this will really helped me understand how to use and how light sets work
It did help me, but I wasn't able to track the problem on the tree arms since they are too close to each other. I primarily used it to test the elements I used to switch out the burned out bulbs. Thanks

+Yoshi07 Fluffy07 We are glad to hear that the LightKeeper Pro has been able to keep your holidays bright!
This saved the holidays.
I LOVE this tool. It really works. I've owned it for a few years and it's great.
Ok at first i couldnt get it to work, but now after some trial and error, i love this thing. Three sets fixed now. :)
Once again my light keeper pro comes to the rescue. Just had to come here first to remind myself how to use it.
Thanks guys !!!!
Great product, I use to use my Volt Meter and OHMS's law to fix my light sets, now I can get on with more pressing things in life. !
Today's low voltage bulbs are not hot.....but Jenna sure is!
Bryan is throwing some fire too.
Now then,
Just have to talk my wife into using it !
I am paralyzed, and don't have the use of my hands, or I would definitely be doing it myself !
This thing cost me $29 and how many hours of guesswork has it saved? Too many to count. Worth every penny.

LOVE IT! It took me a while to figure out how to use it (should have watched this video) but it is amazing! Straight sorcery!

I put my lights up and had two sections out. Best 20 bucks I spent! THank you. No more hit and miss on bulb replacement!
This tool is DA BOMB! If your sittin' on the fence.. you're missing more than your Xmas lites! Get one today.. and put the cheer back into your tree..
I got this tool and tried it but only the top of the tree lit up. How do I fix the bottom?
Worked for me. I used the bulb tester to find the bad actor.
I bought and used it tonight and it works . I had 4 dead bulbs so trying to figure it out without the tool would of been very difficult
So have they made one of these gadgets for the larger outdoor lights? The C7, C9, C11 size strings???? (Not the newer LED, but the ceramics?)
An incredible invention!

Does it work on the flashing light sets as well?

When I replace a burned out light on the strand it immediately lights for a second and then burns out, any suggestions as to why this keeps happening?
Lmfao the guy kicked in the lights in between pumps lol missed his cue
I love this it works thanks for saving me lots of time checking bulbs

Ok I thought this was too good to be true but bought it anyway. Just go buy it. It’s happy Christmas witchcraft.
Was able to fix most of out lights (only one wouldn't work). Saved us dozens of dollars!
None of my lights work, now I know that can't be, after I click nothing happens, how do I fix this

LightKeeperPro Can weak batteries cause the quick fix not to work? When I try to use the bulb tester, it illuminates new bulbs dimly.
+Polarcupcheck The batteries only power the bulb and fuse tester and the Audible Voltage Detector. The Quick Fix is not battery powered.
I have the same problem this stupid thing is useless

what is the outlet on the keeperpro?
Thanks, I just fixed my tree! :)

why does every video need music?
love it!
I like how you obviously gloss over the bulb remover portion because it obviously doesn’t work
Yea! It worked!

Too bad the music is drowning out the tutorial instructions.
I’m disappointed it doesn’t work on LED lights
Yup, it works.

What if i want to get lit
Amazon I got mine
She's not my friend. And consequently, she didn't tell me to buy one. But, I did anyway.
Lol I'm using this now!
Smoke show Jenna.
Too much chitchat!
So, why did you comment????
Great tutorial but could do without that horrible organ background music! Thanks!
Disappointing. Does not work as advertised. Probably got a defective unit.
70's porno music
I JUST BOUGHT THIS THING. PIECE OF SHIT. DOESN'T WORK.
