That’s true. And sometimes you find that the relationship with the so called “mistress” ends up lasting much longer than the relationship with the first wife. But ke guys, we live in a society that dictates the rules of how we should live with one another, we can’t change that so I often say, whoever that is in a marriage that’s already strained and about to end must first dissolve the marriage completely, before they openly get involved with someone else. They can’t have their bread butter on both sides.
This would not only be the morally right thing to do but it’s also protecting your partner. As Nozi says, it’s the woman that always takes the blame for a failed marriage, not the one who made & broke the vows. So to protect his partner, if the man’s intentions are genuinely to start a serious and committed relationship with the other woman; he has to protect her reputation. I’m not condoning unfaithfulness but if it happens, the person stepping out of the marriage must be very intentional and fully committed to whatever that will follow after the marriage is dissolved.
Lena ke eyokuthi you lose them how you find them, I don’t necessarily agree with that because marriages fail for different reasons. Some people are forced into marriages they don’t necessarily want to be in. Of course you have the right to refuse, this should be no excuse but it happens. Our churches, parents and people put unnecessary pressure on us. Some people are not strong willed enough to say no.
