There's something that's just so satisfying watching Balrog connect with those punches.

It was like a goddamned Rocky fight. No defense, all knockout blows.
...but it was clear after the second rushing punch in the first round that CPU Balrog was countering his Rushing Punches with standing roundhouse. Just use max distance standing fierce and you get free stuns and combos. In fact, that usually works on most of the fighters from Champion Edition to Super Turbo. Now go run me my 100k for two perfects. :)

0:53 I never knew Balrog had any sort of attack vocalization in the CPS1 Street Fighter games. Hell even on the Continue screen, the announcer says "Fight!" for him when you confirm. Even more puzzling is THAT particular generic male grunt hasn't been used as any other character's continue confirmation voice.
Ryu - "Hadoken!"
Ken - generic male grunt
Chunli - "Yatta!"
Guile - "Sonic Boom!"
Zangief - generic male laugh
Dhalsim - elephant noise
Blanka - his signature roar
E. Honda - "Dosukoi!"
Balrog - announcer says "Fight!"
Vega - his signature screech
Sagat - "Tiger!"
M. Bison - aeroplane noise/Psycho Crusher sound effect
His vocalizations appear to be him saying random numbers that are the exact same as the countdown voice in the continue screen. I heard the numbers: 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 a few times and he also says “Final” which the voiceover says for “Final round” announcement. These vocalizations seem like RNG as they don’t seem correspond to anything happening on the screen. Maybe lazy work by the programmers? Not sure honestly what to make of it.

Christ, the 3 of you know diddly about this situation.... The voice is Balrogs but IS also the same voice as the announcer. He isnt saying random numbers. The longer you hold down the buttons for the turn around punch, the higher the number he says when he does it, up to "Final" & the harder he hits.

I notice every time I play against the computer they take way more damage than I do and my hits barely take anything from them.
Then I notice your gameplay run and see that you and the computer are taking just about even damage from each other and delivering about the same damage to each other too.
Are some versions of Street Fighter just more difficult where the computer has a buff and you the player a nerf??
I kinda notice the same in other UA-camrs play throughs too, some are even like this UA-camr’s run, and others are ridiculously one sided with the player being nerfed and the Computer being buffed.

Hold down all 3 punches or kicks, then release. The longer you hold it, the harder it hits..
You'll notice in the first few fights that he's holding down the kick buttons while attacking with the punch buttons. Sure did feel like CPU Balrog fought that way in World Warrior.

That's how long u hold down the punch button for more damage. Only with Balrog
@@metrowater2819 you dont hold the punch button, you hold back for atleast 2 seconds then forward and punch. The longer you hold back is the higher punch you get. To do the uppercut you hold down for atleast 2 seconds then up and punch

What about bonus stages
Dhalsim got the worst beating. Its not only with Balrog, but with other characters such as Ken, Ryu, Blanka and Guile, I have seen players decimating Dhalsim with perfect scores and in less than 15 secs. As for Bison, his one kick or a punch takes away a lot of power and that's how it becomes difficult to beat him.

Gloves protect your hands and opponents faces. If not, the boxer might break his/her hands/fingers and quite possibly kill their opponent.

Balrog has one of the most difficult challenges in hard mode as the CPU says "F*** you I hit first" with most of his punches and specials not connect confirming due to programming. Somehow it's always harder on a black man ..... (Dhalsim has it the worst BTW)
Only if Dhalsim doesn't let him in, which he is designed to do as a "zoner" character. Dhalsim was a top tier character throughout the SF2 series. Balrog just happens to be top tier as well.
Balrog was more quicker on this version of street fighter than the turbo street fighter
