Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers is a competitive fighting game produced by Capcom and originally released as an arcade game in 1993. It is the fourth game in the Street Fighter II sub-series of Street Fighter games, following Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting. It refines and balances the existing character roster from the previous versions, and introduces four new characters. It is the first game on Capcom's CP System II hardware, with more sophisticated graphics and audio over the original CP System hardware used in previous versions of Street Fighter II.

Zangief is the king of wrestling in the entire history of Street Fighter
felt this as a kid and still do today that it’s wild how gief’s throws had so little damage compared to other moves in sf2, where a full DP dealt 25% or more, and yet a running bear grab did only a minuscule ~10% damage… SPD also wasn’t much more than other strike moves
If TEKKEN has King, Street Fighter has Zangief.
Which one came first? King exists BECAUSE of Zangief.

Capcom Should have used Guiles voice from Champion Edition.
Yeah really. He sounds lame AF. So does all the voices I think. Sagat's laugh doesn't even match him at all.
In both games, Guile's voice is the same as the announcer's. It makes me wonder if it's Guile who's actually speaking or if the announcer is calling the Sonic Boom every time.

Still jumping too much...especially against FB/DP characters...especially Sagat. Don't forget that the Kick Lariat goes through low hitting moves. Ryu and Sagat love to back up to the corner at round start before throwing projectiles. Just slowly ease up to them until they're cornered and then take your free jump in combo.

I also noticed that Sagat is very frequent in being on the receiving end on a groin attack.
When you are a 7'7" kickboxer, you usually will end up getting hit there...
