A week away from the 2023 NFL draft and we are sitting down with the number one overall prospect Alabama quarterback and Heisman Trophy Winner, Bryce Young, talking everything football, adjusting to the spotlight, dealing with pressure, his thoughts on other QB prospects and the significance of his bond with his parents which has helped shape him into the young man he is today.
Embarking on a journey of a lifetime, next week’s NFL draft is a monumental occasion filled with a range of emotions, nerves, excitement and kore as it will forever change the lives of many young men and their families. With all the talk swirling around the Alabama standout, his fate will be decided in the coming days but Bryce says he isn’t worried about being number one or any number he goes, he just wants to get on a team and start playing.
With a lot of questions about his height and stature affecting his ability to stand tall on NFL fields may affect his draft stock, Bryce isn’t phased by the comments and has been hearing those same things all his life and always quiets his critics with his talent and capabilities. Not short on confidence, Bryce shares how he’s managed to keep composure and avoid nervous energy when stepping onto the field all these years and describes how it’s a dream every time he touches the ball so he embraces it which helps him shed any worries or fears when playing.
Channing asks Bryce to recall the moment he knew he had the “it” factor that made him different than other players on the field as Bryce takes us through some of the plays he felt most confident as Ryan shares the one play he saw that made him associate the word “magical” with every time Bryce touches the ball. Bryce talks about CJ Stroud and other QBs in this draft and what makes them first rounders as well as breaks down his own play of how he would describe himself as a player and man on and off the field.
Bryce’s father joins the conversation as the guys poke fun at his alleged story of a 4 month old Bryce with a grip on the football as he has now and they jokingly talk about seeing his talents from a young age and the closeness the two share along with his mother too. Having a strong foundation and good character is an asset in this day and age for teams and Bryce’s father is most proud of the man he raised and the quarterback in him is just extra.
Transitioning from college super star to NFL leader, the guys talk to Bryce about what it will be like stepping into a role as a leader of grown men and controlling a locker room as a 21 year old. Bryce is excited for the opportunity and looking forward to getting to know his new teammates and the new city he lands where he will call home for hopefully years to come.
And with the first pick of the 2023 NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers select….

Regardless of where this young man is drafted or how he does in the NFL. He will succeed in life.
Only God knows that. You don’t even know what you will eat for dinner tomorrow.
@@troypolamalupittsburghdynastyf true, he'll likely not even make it to tomorrow - he should have said that instead
@@troypolamalupittsburghdynastyf lool the young man has wisdom beyond his age. He even conceded that God is in control of his life, with that understanding he truly will succeed at anything he does.
@@user-zv2ve9ft4o god is a myth
It definitely won't be in the NFL as a QB. You think JaMarcus Russell was bad!? You ain't seen nothing yet
Jalen Hurts little brother!
On a real note, Jalen and Bryce parents did a heck of a job raising these young men! 🙌
Two wonderful young men. I was thinking to myself during the interview; wow, he reminds me of Jalen. I'm an Eagles fan and I'm so happy for Jalen.
@@sheilaburns8977 I love Jalen Hurts especially as a Houston native. I always knew he was gonna be 👍🏽 great
💯Facts!! A parent is monumental for the growth and development of a child, but when you put two in the mix with the goal of raising a great person, that person becomes extraordinary!
The importance of having a strong black father plays a big role 💯
💯 two perfect examples of young men who you want leading your franchise & locker room.
What a great relationship Bryce and his dad have. Their commitment to faith and family has given them a solid foundation to build any career on. Glad to see him with a good head.
The trash talking at the end about basketball was hilarious 😂
I wish my dad loved me like that
@@szn1580 same
@@donaldedge6115 much love bro!
I love how when Bryce is talking, he controls the room. He makes you want to listen and follow what he is saying. What a great man!
He’s long winded too
QB shit
Dude is just scared and talking to much
Man he was too long winded lmao
@Josh Parks 😂 Bryce seems like a good dude, but he does come across like a slightly pretentious kid trying to impress you when he's about to take your daughter out on a date..😂. I'm sure he's a solid kid though.
RC… your parents raised YOU the right way, and you’re doing a good job. This platform is teaching so many of us way beyond football. Much ❤
He's only 21?! Dude carries himself like a much older and wiser person. Can't wait to have him in Carolina!!
Absolutely I never been so excited as a panther fan since the golden days of supercam. I’m hyped

This is the coolest episode, the relationship between Bryce and his parents with God at the head of it all is priceless.
Bryce did an outstanding job answering questions and maintaining his composure. His parents have done an amazing job with him. He will certainly lead men on and off the field.
We need more Bryce’s in this world! Complete class act. The NFL is lucky to get him - he could improve organizations in any field. Salute to him and his family!
Love this guy man. Not just as a Bama fan but a fan of football. Love seeing the humbleness and proud to say he's a prodigy of Alabama football. Much Love Bryce!!!! You deserve all the success in this world..
For his Father to speak of Bryce and of
God the way he did that is amazing. Much love and respect!
This kid is just built right, he can’t control his height. With the Panthers he’ll be amazing.
Oh he ai t built right. If he was. He'd be 6"3. Instead, he's a 5"19 horse jockey. A black baker Mayfield
Man as a die hard Alabama fan and alum we about to have 4 starting QB’s in the NFL all with tremendous character and leadership skills. Speaks to our program and all the men like Bryce who have held themselves to such a high standard. May God bless Bryce with good health, a great relationship with the Lord and a great career. There is an art to conversion. The pivot is throwing Picassos at us consistently. This is by far the best sports pod.
Great all around interview. Solid questions and a genuine vibe. Bryce well done.
As a Panthers fan who’s sold on Stroud partly bc of his appearance on the pod a while back, this was a valuable piece of content yall created for Bryce. Awesome to see man, congrats on another one 🔥
I wasn’t sure about him but this interview was great. Shout out to the pivot for letting us get a good feel for dude. Rooting for him
Felt the same, hoping Carolina picks him up !!!
Facts same here hope he suceediseems like great kid
This was a great and enjoyable interview. That young man is going far. Hurts is my guy and I have the same feeling as I did with Hurts. Even though Hurts got the short end of stick in draft. Hurts is saying look at me now! God bless this young man Bryce and his family.
Jalen is also my QB, and I'm so happy for him. Such a smooth young man. (In your face ... Haters ... LOL!!!) My son got me watching college football and I watched Bryce (and CJ) play great QB football. Another smooth young man.
@@sheilaburns8977 yes ma'am.
Gentlemen, thanks a bunch for a great interview; I'm a Panthers fan and I've been wringing my hands that the Panthers will spend their #1 pick on a 5'10"
QB. After listening to that young man I take it back; now I understand why they are so impressed with him; he is so smooth and on top of his life and game with his mindset and his intelligence; his skill set is unquestionable. Can't wait to root for him here in the QC.
I am in the QC too, I am from here, and I am also a Bama grad and fan. Having seen Bryce play every snap of his college career, there is no doubt in my mind that he is THE QB that the Panthers' franchise needs. His height only worries folks who aren't Crimson Tide fans. Roll Tide and Keep Pounding!! 🐘🅰🏈
He does sound well spoken, probably due to his upbringing, but it feels like he doesn’t have that dog in him, like not a chip on his shoulder type. He’ll be a bust. I’m a saints fan so I hope Ca draft him to see him play more to change my mind. Baker Mayfield 2.0
Are you on drugs? You want him because he sounds good? Foh. He will be a bigger bust then Baker Mayfield
@@robertmetzinger4121 that’s literally what I just said…

Loved the Hoodies that Bryce has on, and he is that dude. Loved the belief and confidence that his dad poured into him. Bryce has been this dope since high school
Bryce is legit !!!! Smart and Hardworking !!! He shinned when he was in youth football playing for the Nationally Ranked 14U OG/IE Ducks and then was a beast at Mater Dei High School & Alabama.
These guys know how to do an interview. They never talk over each other or the guests.❤
Craig & Julie did their thing!! Great (J)ob (A)t (M)olding the man, Fam.
This is the first time I have heard him speak at length. Intelligent , impressive, humbly confident. Despite size, he has the maturity to gain respect of his peers quickly he is going to be around for a while. I hope the youth pays attention to his demeanor. Pivot staying on 🔥
Anybody else saw his dad dap his son up with the “good job on the interview” approval look…that was gansta
30mins in & I’m already sold on the young man.. much respect from a Dawgs fan
I've never been more impressed, He's up there with Tebow Tua, Jalen Hurts and Trevor Lawrence as a young guy. Shout out to the parents for raising an amazing young man.

All I got to say is damn. Seeing Bryce have the whole room engaged makes me feel like I’m right there with him. Me as an only child myself can also feel how he feels and knowing how to adjust to different environments.
Bro Bryce is so chill.
I really love this episode. Bryce and his family are wonderful people (from what is shown). Wishing this best for this young man.
What an amazing interview. You can tell Bryce is very relaxed in this interview because he cut down on the “ah’s”, you know’s etc…. This is more indicative of the real Bryce. Well done gentleman!
A lot of wisdom in a very young man and humble and very sure of himself at the same time...this man is obviously a jewel...can't wait to see what he does in the League...
I love the product drop that Ryan did and how he delivered it. That was mastery, and the way you do it.
This was another great interview as one would expect and I am pulling for Bryce to be selected in the top two, wherever he’s selected the team will be getting an excellent young- man and football player. His parents should be proud of the young man he’s become.
Bryce is well- grounded and has great parental support. They obviously taught Bryce good values. He will do well because he lives in a state of Gratitude. All the Best to Bryce.
First time hearing Bryce father speak they both are amazing ppl!😊 Bryce is so humble!😊
Here is a very humble guy. I’m excited to see him perform.

What an amazing gentleman and will make a successful mark in the NFL!
Bryce and his amazing father said something profound: "Once you find your purpose, don't let anyone steer you away from it."
To the Pivot crew: Y'all are really revolutionizing this media genre. Thank you for letting us follow your journey. One day, I'll be a guest on the Pivot. I'm believing that!
Not even your parents
Holy crap what an amazing young man, how could you ever do any thing but root for this young man! Between him and Jalen Hurts the world is in a better place with these 2 young men in it. Wow. I'm a 65 year old white dude who is just so proud of these two young men. I wish both of them all the best. I will root for him in every game except when he is playing Jalen.
I think this interview has sold it for me.

Let’s go Carolina!! It’s time to get us the Young QB!!
What a great interview! BY is the truth…. Pivot does it again. ❤
I’m predicting this now, an world remember this post, and it’s because of how he Carries himself and his play, I think we have a QB to bring panther nation it’s first SB, long as we stay wanting to win and adding right pieces for Bryce, I predict that Bryce makes Carolina panthers SB champs in his era in football, that day I will video myself a grown man 😢 tears of joy, I’ve been blessed to live and see are team make two appearances, but we just couldn’t make it over the hump, loses too two of the greatest to ever play Payton and Brady, but I strongly feel without even seeing him in his first NFL game yet, that Bryce, is that kind of talent, not just cause of what he can do, but because of his mental toughness and his demeanor and how he’s carried hisself, his very very wise, beyond his years and I think he will be respected and players will look to him as there leader.
Can’t wait to draft this kid in Dynasty! Excited for his future. Incredible head on his shoulders.
