I had an old Triumph 350cc Tiger back in 1972. Loved that bike once I converted from a café racer to a more sit up and beg style. Many happy summer night memories running into Canvey Island or South End just for a week night summer ride and something to eat along the sea front with my pending wife 👍... Stay safe Tomboy_a_bit, and happy cruising girl...
Tomboy Great review! I think it's the best looking of all the 400cc class bikes. I own 3 Triumphs right now and that bike and the Scrambler are pure Triumph quality. Triumph is going to sell a LOT of them. Thank you for the wonderful London Ride! Ride SAFE and BE safe Lady! 👍👍
Hi! Nice and good. I've just ordered red 400 as I'm sure that it's the right one for 73 years old 57 years motorcyclist. Specialy in today's traffic.. I'd just like so see a comparison article of 400 speed, with kawasaki Z 400 and new honda 400 - single, twin and four cylinders of the same capacity. How they feel in town, country road and highways and how it is with torque and specialy with fuel consumption. Regards fro Slovenia, niko
I'd think the biggest thing you're feeling between the two bikes is the difference between the scrambler's narrow 2.5" × 19" front wheel and the speed's 3" × 17". That, combined with tyre difference. Proper road rubber on the speed model. I think it's great looking and seems like the perfect first or preferred lightweight bike. Look forward to seeing lots of them on the road! Very cool and capable bike to get more people riding for sure 😎👌
I'm interested in the Triumph 400 vs Kasasaki Eliminator review. Obviously different but just compared for the fun factor. Lets call it the blind fold contest. If you couldn't see it, what would it feel like?
NO ENTENDI CASI NADA PERO VIENDOTE SUBIDA EN ELLA SE VE UE ES MUY BUENA MOTO. ADFICIONALMENTE CONOCI UN POCO LAS CALLES DE LONDRES. UN SALUDO DESDE COLOMBIA
Lovely looking bike , perfect for the city I think, I would be scared shitless to ride in London now ,but I think the Triumph Speed handles it very well.
In the mid 80s I had a GSX400 (Suzuki) four stroke twin. Perhaps one of my favourite bikes. It's a pity Suzuki doesn't re-introduce it. Forty years later and there hasn't been much progress really.
Cost to profit/manufacturing/market demand etc... A Twin cylinder is expensive, maintenance wise also not ideal when you are looking to achieve profit, sale & inexpensive to make. Also remember these 400s are primarily for emerging & developing countries!
Triumph doesn't have the budget to create multiple models and generations at the same time like Honda. Took them forever to release a small back of any kind.
I haven't ridden these bikes but I did sit on them (in the same Triumph showroom in Vauxhall! 🙂) One thing that surprised me was the height. They are actually taller than the 900cc bikes! This is interesting,. especially when you compare it to the other manufacturer that you test rode in London (Royal Enfield HNTR, 😉) which is so small that it almost feels like a 125cc. I'm sure it is great for an urban environment but there's something good about riding through the streets with a 900cc parallel twin under you and imagining that everyone is enjoying it as much as you! 🤣
Nice bike. Great review. Off topic (forgive me) but I’m intrigued that you haven’t taken a Royal Enfield Super Meteor for a spin and shared with us your interesting insights. Will you be?
A beautiful little Bike with all the Ride-modes I need, all tucked away nicely in my wrist and called "feel". Unfortunately, the colour Green is not available on the Speed..., so you buy the Scrambler, which you like better, and i'll take the Speed, then we can swap the Tanks. Yes, why not, this Red suits you better than me! Oh yes, that smile..., it's always better to ride a Small bike fast, than to ride a Fast bike slow..., that's why you always have that smile when on a small bike!
Haha yeah Red suits me well. Just a little financial issue. I made less than it costs to live last month 😅 Bike purchases will have to wait. Thanks for a coffee, by the way. 🫶
Congrats for the great review! I would like to but this one or the scrambler but can't really choose 😅. Could you please tell me which one you prefer and why? Thanks in advance!

I sell them for a living (kind of) and must be the only person who thinks they’re awful. Also, they’re gonna rust out pretty quick.. the early signs are there

I have just put a deposit on a black one after test riding one today. Obviously I was impressed by it. 😊

Working on Sunday night?
probably repair/modification on 🏍. 🫡@@tomboyabit
Great looking bike. Fantastic value at £4995 otr. Thanks for the best reviews of the Speed and Scrambler 400's.

Great review. It begs the question, 'Do you need a bigger bike?' (Brave riding through London, it's bad enough in a protective metal box on wheels).
I prefer to ride in London over driving. Feel ‘clumsy’ in a box or van.
Love your reviews on bikes keep doing it 👍

they are pushing the sv650
Dear Mr Triumph why not a 500 twin? Where is your Triumph heritage. the 500 twin was the nicest Triumph to ride.

I had loads of 350 500, 650 and 750s beautiful bikes. 500s where the best in my opinion
Yeah, i'm sick of thumpers.
@@BlackHawkTejas Ever hear of Z400 ? 500 ? Ninja ?

Optima recnsio, tibi gratulor! Mihi suasisti ut Triumph 400 experiar, gratias tibi ago
That's a good sound.I would like to consider purchasing.
I was interested in the Triumph 400 but I brought the Yamaha mt03 2018 about the same performance
Super video, you could have sold me one of those Triumph's. Well done, stay safe, ride well. 🤓💖💖🏍️

I do worry at times cuz it LOOKS dangerous 🫢
such a nice looking bike

Looks like a thunderbird 2 launch pad initially behind you in that there London.
Haha it does 😅

Best looking one 🤌
Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 vs Triumph Speed 400: Which One To Buy?

Looking forward to this one 🏍️🏍️🏍️❤️

@@tomboyabit I did enjoy it thank you, but still torn between that and the Royal Enfield hunter
I like that bike great video

Itchy boots
Cooll wee bike 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧

400 speed or scrambler 400x ...which one to choose? i drive mainly in the city like 80%
Try both.
The only thing I noticed that can be used as an advice. I found people my height 5’9 or higher preferred scrambler.
Can you please tell me which phone mount did you use in this video?
Quad Lock handlebar mount.

A Scrambler. But I always prefer a scrambler over Bonnie. In any sizes.
Is the bike has the same problems as that of india's or triumph fixed it.
Hi, I like your videos.
What is your favorite bike?
(I love Harley Davidson 😂)
Tricky question. Same like a favourite music or food. Depends from a day. Too much of a good thing is a bad thing too.
@@tomboyabit 👍🏻👋🏻
Should have went to the Ace Cafe, especially while riding a Triumph.
It’s not as it was. One day I’ll show you.
Yes I was worried you would say that,as I think since Ulez it hasn't been the same.@@tomboyabit
175cm tall😬👀💛
I like the blue better, I am so over red and black

this is the perfect "cheap" bike
Which mobile mount is that?
Hi, it’s Quad Lock 👌
❤
Fuel consumption seems a little high for a 400cc bike from what i hear from the indian folks.
26-30 kms per lite..
"Indian folks" really do care about fuel consumption of a 🏍
I remember when i visited Enchanting sub continent ... Avant-garde ecologists
Hello! Which phone mount are you using?
Hey Quac Lock Mount 👌
Probably an ideal bike to ride around that shithole
Oh I love London.
In little doses.
I live in London and I agree with you.@@tomboyabit
A lot of people love Chicago, too.

Could be true. ONLY this 'd be not to good for Triumph's (and Brexitain's) image
It's a real beauty for sure but for me, the exhaust design spoils it. It would have looked far cleaner with the exhaust of the old Street Twin.
Triumph didn't made. Bajaj made it
Or should I say Kilometers😂.lol
