OMG!! I missed this game so much. Happy to see it coming back as an MMO. Combat looks just as fantastic as the original, I hope we see pvp and a western release really soon.
Honestly, they should just make a rebalanced and refurbished version of this with singleplayer as its primary mode of play while keeping the multiplayer aspect through the hub and release it as Dragon's Dogma 2. I'd be really content with buying the whole game and play it alone on my PC while sometimes going online with my friends, buying DLC in the form of more content and possibly even more classes (they should complete a wide roster first since it's pretty much the same DD as before with only a few new classes and segregated ones).
Ok do not hate on me now, serious question: These guys are problaby good too, but to me it seems like Dragon's Dogma Online is easier than Dragon's Dogma/D D Arisen. Right?
as a guy who duel weilds daggers in any possible RPG (Ninja/rouge) and combine that with my favorite super hero abd combine that with epic battles i am now hypwd
Dude please tell me, is it as good as the last one? Is it good? Does it fill what we expected? Looking forward to your answer. Great video by the way!!!
+CommanderFlynn Grinding your way up to level 30 something as Fighter or Hunter then begging people to help with defeating the Golem and then the Colossus after farming ranks for days in two different towns before finally getting to start off as a Level 1 Seeker? You bet!
+CommanderFlynn DDON has a lot of grinding, and unlocking a new class is one of the grinds. Seeker is currently the hardest class to unlock, with the requirements I stated before. The part that hurts is that ranking up those two towns takes a long time, because they're both higher level towns, one being 25-30 and the other being 30-40ish. The higher level the area the town is in, the more points it takes to rank up, so those two take quite awhile, not to mention them being higher level so if you're too low you won't even be able to do anything to the monsters there. The two boss fights are also very anguishing. The Golem looked easy in this video, that's because a party of max level people with classes/skills that can very easily hit the Golem's weakpoints fought it. If you don't hit the Golem's weakpoints, he takes no damage from anything at all. After the Golem is the Colossus which is a Cyclops variant that REALLY likes running at you, constantly. It also doesn't help that he's covered in tough spiky armor that damages you for barely grazing it, causing wound for every point of damage so you better bring a ton of potions or patiently fight it for 30 minutes straight breaking every piece of armor off painstakingly slow in order to climb it to deal any real damage to it at all. For a casual player like me who only has time to play when I'm not working to make a living, it's been 2 weeks, I still don't have Seeker. For a hardcore player like Steparu, it'll take you 3-5 days, depending on whether you have competent people willing to help you or not. Honestly the classes you have to work for to get aren't even that much "better" than the starting 4, it's just a different class with different skills to suit a different play style. Everything Steparu does will look OP cause he's always making videos with max level characters with the best gear in the game.
+CommanderFlynn You'll unlock it eventually as you play the game, they spaced the class unlocks out to keep you playing so you can keep paying to earn them money. That's how MMOs work. They make things grindy by spacing out content and slowing down progression so you'll play it longer and eventually spend more and more money on it so they can make a profit. I really just wanted Dragon's Dogma with multiplayer, I never asked for *this*.
hey after a hell of steps i'm finally able to play it but i cant choose the seeker clas! just can choose between 4?classes.. is the seeker still coming? EVEN if i started with fighter?
It's looks like everyone will have the same moves and skills... is it not like the last one where you can have a unique set of skills you choose from a pool of skills and not be generic like everyone else? The helm splitter looks slower too :/
I recently downloaded this game, but I'm having a bit of trouble. This is the first time I'm playing a foreign game so I'm feeling overwhelmed. Do you know of a guide/video that'll help me with character creation + first couple of hours?
+Steparu.com Gaming Channel did you find boss fights challening? I mean if the best thing you can do in this game is killing bosses? I would expect some serious designed boss mechanics and stuffs you know?
So I downloaded this on ps4 but can't seem to actually play it just pulls up a screen in Japanese and not being able to read it I am stumped anybody know what this is and how I can start to play this game
I'm very disappointed. The bosses look so simple to kill. Just kill the adds while dodging the bosse's attacks, then all climb the boss and simply hit his head. Climbing to the head is done so easily and fast. But as you can see in this video you don't even have to climb your way up. You can get there so easily with some skills that lift you up in the air. Also no stamina consumption while climbing a big mob? Seriously? It can't be easier this way. Also the big mobs pretty much never shake you off. This is crap. I expected much better from DDO.
Even though they are level 40 and this is not a low-level boss. Since everything about DDO is related to boss fights and i was expecting more challange.
+oeriuzjnoirdf eirutgefkj What Boss? I only saw mini boss like creatures. Even just a normal golem wasn't really a boss in the original game after the first one or two that you beat. Griffins become cockatrices become (in this game) Sphinxes. I saw sphinx one hitting level 36's on a different video. It all just depends. Some enemies too are better at shaking you off, like the flyers and ogres. Most true bosses are story related, even in dragon's dogma. Most. The fun part is, that non-boss enemies can give you a run for your money too, like the Garm at the beginning of Dark Arisen. Anything is bound to be easier to kill when playing with actually people. I'm glad they didn't just ramp up the difficulty artificially, and hope they continue to come up with new, inventive enemy types.
+MrThewalkingdead Maybe you're right and that mob at 2:30 is just a mini boss. Nevertheless I found a video of an archer type class killing that one wyrm/dragon/whateveritis at the beach (can't find the link anymore -.- ). At one point in the video the player climbs that thing. The boss tried to shake him off without success. At least the player couldn't attack it this way. Still crap that it couldn't shake the player off. That fight didn't look challanging at all.
+oeriuzjnoirdf eirutgefkj Steparu makes anything look easy. But overall DDON isn't too difficult, because, you know, they made it into an MMO. They want lots of people playing to make more money, so they dumbed the game down from the original to make it accessible to more people. They also made it grindy as hell, because the more you extend playtime, the more people will pay money playing it before they "beat it" and drop it for another game until new updates. Oh and, playing the game without Premium Service can be a headache and a half, with only 3 storage box units and having to pay rift crystals to get anywhere in the game when rift crystals come in at a much slower rate. When a game goes "online" from singleplayer, it depends on what kind of Online. I really just wished they made another Dragon's Dogma just with multiplayer connectivity. But instead, they made an MMO, and with an MMO, comes all of the idioms that will completely change a game from what it used to be.

Would love to give this game a go, looks so fun as a MMO

+Question chan Solo play with pawns is always harder than with players. If you play 100% solo its in many ways harder than DD.1
omg that dance. youre doing the "wop".

with Dark Arisen coming to PC, I'm hoping this means we will still get DDO and a possible DD2 on the horizon!
SlimeKingK it's been 2 years now since this post .. sooooo guess not
Dude please tell me, is it as good as the last one? Is it good? Does it fill what we expected? Looking forward to your answer. Great video by the way!!!
+Antonio Osuna Cibrian It's good, but once you've learned boss patterns seems easy.
+Steparu.com Gaming Channel Oh no... Just like the other one
WHOEVER NAMED THEIR CHARACTER ASBEL LHANT DESERVES A COOKIE
When (if) this gets a Western release, remind me to mute voice volume.
So...after watching all the seeker vids you got...
If I ever get to play this game, I know what I'm doing
+CommanderFlynn Grinding your way up to level 30 something as Fighter or Hunter then begging people to help with defeating the Golem and then the Colossus after farming ranks for days in two different towns before finally getting to start off as a Level 1 Seeker? You bet!
***** YEAH! LET'S DO IT!
To be fair XIV starts you ogg as level 1 on a new class, so it's not that bad, but that amount of running around...eh

It's kinda a shame, guess I'm sticking to a sword then XD

I really just wanted Dragon's Dogma with multiplayer, I never asked for *this*.

I agree, all the big enemies seem waaaay too slow in their attack animations, seems like theyre really easy
