Now that I think about it. What was stopping Microsoft, Sony & Nintendo from just including USB mouse support from the beginning? They could have added that feature decades ago if they really wanted to. It's not like they need to make their own special mouse peripheral.
A lot of consols actually have mouse/keyboard support. But game developers aren't using it because fraction of percent of console players would use it. Having it included as native controler for switch 2 could maybe change that, at least for switch.
I just want a player profile that remembers all the games you have played and their playtimes. Maybe achievements, just something that is not in a stupid recently played list. It is SOOOO important that Nintendo does this, this time
I see it now, nintendo releasing a switch keyboard accessory that uses a joy con to power and connect to the switch while the other is used as a mouse.

Honest question. other than for Nostalgia's sake, why is it a missed opportunity? From a business perspective, strateg and marketing standpoint keeping it simple with Switch 2 targets the mass market (hardcore and casual gamers) much more effectively. Always has for most products. btw...we all know nintendo will seel different variations. I have the SNES colored 3DS so maybe we'll get lucky.

It's the first time a Nintendo design was so versatile and timeless that consumers just wanted a stronger version. I'm not surprised a company as conservative as Nintendo took such a low-risk approach for the first time since SNES. Companies with 10x their market cap are copying their design, *THAT* is success.
@arcadeportal32 yer I agree I also think the switch 2 will be just fine, I think people forget that the steam deck is just playing games you own there not made for it as you have to change settings to get it to run how you like. where companies will do most of that them selves for console's and as it's using the new nivida chip I image it's going to also uses AI upscaling.
If it has the capabilities of a system released a year before the original switch i doubt that it will be the greatest system ever but Nintendo has been selling old technology to its player base as new technology for years so I guess it's possible from a sales standpoint.
Ever since I bought my Steam Deck at a discount, my Switch honestly collects dust. Never though I would ever be able to play GTA 4 on the go and it actually plays well! Switch 2s benefit is that Zelda Echos might actually run at stable FPS, felt like I wasted money how poorly it ran!!
@@arcadeportal32 Honestly, I think Switch games might run exactly the same, depending on how they emulate the switch games. With how they dealt with virtual console, the Wii emulation on Wii U, NSO, Mario all stars, and other ports that barely got upgrades frame rate wise, I'm not holding my breath.
The possibility of the joycons functioning as a mouse makes me wonder if Switch 2 will enable mouse controls for a lot of its games. Like COD on Switch 2 could be played with the same precision of a mouse if you wanted. Sounds pretty dope to me.
I think a variety of these would be interesting to see on the new system. I think MH: Wilds is likely going to come out on it as well. But Diablo 4 and hopefully Path of Exile II would be great to utilize the mouse and show off the power of the. system. It would also be interesting to see if Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake II, Avowed, Outer Worlds 2, and Kingdom Come Deliverance II come to the SW2 with viable ports within the first two years. Likewise, I hope they do more with bringing more series to the platform, like they did with Diablo. They could either release things like Fallout 3 and New Vegas for both systems while releasing Fallout 4 or the Fallout collection for the SW2. Same for series like Dark Souls, Elder Scrolls, Resident Evil, and the like. This would keep both libraries going without the two systems being in conflict and bridge the gap between catalogues accessible mainly by PC gamers.
The Switch 2 needs Bluetooth Mouse + Keyboard support from the start. Consoles support this for a while now, but almost no game uses it. When Devs now implement M+K into their Switch games, maybe the others will follow.
April is the month for the proper presentation of the console. It will probably not even release until after June. 😂 But I'd wait for it instead of buying the older model.
Halo MCC and Diablo IV on the Switch 2 would be totally incredible. Being able to play these gems in handheld mode, while relaxing on my bed, would be a dream come true...👌
Hey RGT, you know we've been down this railroad many times before, and every time Uncle Phil derails the train. The rumor caused by a leak or Phil Spencer's shelf about Halo going to Nintendo, then escalates to Game Pass going to Nintendo, which UA-camrs make videos about it, then after it progresses months and after months of the rumor going on an interviewer will ask Phil Spencer will say that whenever he thinks about porting games to other devices, he wants the full Xbox experience on those devices, but those other competitive platforms/closed platforms (PlayStation and Nintendo) don't want that full Xbox experience on their hardware.
All these 3rd party games really gives me SNES vibes. When you could play all the first party N games and most other cool games of the era on one system.

To be honest, I'm happy that we're getting a Switch 2. Nintendo usually likes to pioneer new designs and gimmicks to their consoles and although it may feel like they're playing it safe I'm fine with it. The Switch is one of the best conceptual and designed consoles ever. Making a few changes and focusing on performance may create one of the best consoles of all time.
Can't wait for the inevitable Mario Paint 2. You know that's probably a big reason they included the mouse stuff in the first place. I already have a pc …
@@jonesymeow9487yep, Steam Deck and ROG Ally X owner here. I'm glad Nintendo fans will get the chance to play games that we've been playing on our handhelds for awhile. I can still guarantee they'll be paying way too much though. Fallout 4 GOTY goes for $9 on Steam pretty regularly, Nintendo users will probably be paying full price like they have to for everything else sadly
fallout on steam deck is pretty fun
I would 100% pick up Fallout 4 on Switch 2. It’s not the best Fallout game story wise, but I do love the building mechanics and I’d be curious to see how well the console could run a fully customized settlement.
04:53 not Nintendo fanboys, PlayStation fanboys
I don't get why he's flaming war between Xbox and Nintendo
Can't wait for the system. It won't replace the steam deck but it's a welcome addition especially with Nintendo exclusives and indie games
Now that I think about it. What was stopping Microsoft, Sony & Nintendo from just including USB mouse support from the beginning? They could have added that feature decades ago if they really wanted to. It's not like they need to make their own special mouse peripheral.
I’m pretty sure you can hook up a mouse and keyboard to a PS5. It’s not something that’s advertised.
A lot of consols actually have mouse/keyboard support. But game developers aren't using it because fraction of percent of console players would use it. Having it included as native controler for switch 2 could maybe change that, at least for switch.
I'll sti k with my PC.
Because they want you to buy their controllers. Companies want to increase revenue, why advertise a feature where I can sell you an controller instead
@@joegardner851if this is in the joycons themselves it’s less selling the controllers and moreso a selling point for the console at large
I only own Nintendo systems (aside from a Panasonic 3DO), so I definitely welcome these new additions to the future Switch library.
My favorite Nintendo UA-camr is back again with another video.
I just want a player profile that remembers all the games you have played and their playtimes. Maybe achievements, just something that is not in a stupid recently played list. It is SOOOO important that Nintendo does this, this time
I want Titanfall 2
I see it now, nintendo releasing a switch keyboard accessory that uses a joy con to power and connect to the switch while the other is used as a mouse.
My biggest fear right now is that Switch 2 exclusives & First Party titles such as the new Mario Kart or a potential 3D Mario will cost $100 as well as everything’s shown in this video of course
100?? Nah but i saw that they May cost 80 tho, still a lot tho
Why would that happen? No publisher charges $100 for games. In sure Nintendo will go with $70 for their first party stuff though
Have you seen RGT 85’s video about GTA 6?
@@DylanBanning23 did Rockstar come out and say it’s going to be 100? Did any studios or developers say games will cost $100? Relax man, you can’t take one dummy’s article believe it’s going to be true
Another Game that we really benefit from mouse function would be the Baldur's Gate titles. 🙏
Get dat Steam Deck, it is already there! :) It was worth it imo. I honestly maybe an outlier... thought the Switches game lineup was not as good as some of there older systems...
Such a missed opportunity not calling it the super switch and changing the color palette to snes colors
Yeah that's what I was hoping for also. The Super Nintendo Switch just has a ring to it and harkens back to there roots
Get over it, the snes was almost 40 years ago
I don’t think Nintendo wants people going around calling their console the SS
Nooo way, not needed to follow the past
Honest question. other than for Nostalgia's sake, why is it a missed opportunity? From a business perspective, strateg and marketing standpoint keeping it simple with Switch 2 targets the mass market (hardcore and casual gamers) much more effectively. Always has for most products. btw...we all know nintendo will seel different variations. I have the SNES colored 3DS so maybe we'll get lucky.
Anybody wishing for these games IF these were ported over to Switch 2?
- Gears Of War 1 - 3
- Halo Wars 1 & 2
- Transformers War For Cybertron
- Transformers Fall of Cybertron
- Transformers Davastation
- Deadpool
- Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2
- The Darkness 1 & 2
- Deus Ex Human Revolution
- Resident Evil 2 Remake ( no Cloud version).
- Mortal Kombat 1, 2 & 3 SNES games
This is not Nintendo News
Sure.
Yes it is
I already play these games on a handheld. Nintendo will never catch up.
It's the first time a Nintendo design was so versatile and timeless that consumers just wanted a stronger version. I'm not surprised a company as conservative as Nintendo took such a low-risk approach for the first time since SNES. Companies with 10x their market cap are copying their design, *THAT* is success.
eldan ring runs on the Steam Deck just fine to
Same with BG3 and i'v been play GTA 4 on it. Shocked how well GTA 4 does, considering it melted GPUs in the day!!!
WOW! i didn´t expect to hear a C&C song in one of your videos!!! Also great video as always!
This will be the greatest system ever! Mark my words!
If it has the capabilities of a system released a year before the original switch i doubt that it will be the greatest system ever but Nintendo has been selling old technology to its player base as new technology for years so I guess it's possible from a sales standpoint.
Nintendo will make history on April 2nd!
Using a Nintendo Switch 2 joycon as a mouse with the Halo game is going to be fun.
Portendo strikes again. I'm not spending $70 for the worst ports and they're half the price on other systems
Exactly.
Don’t buy it simple
@@burningpalm1 I'm not, and you shouldn't''t either.
My favorite Nintendo Xbox youtuber.
It's amazing how this guy isn't a Nintendo UA-camr and how he hates Nintendo so much but the moment news comes out he is all over it.
@@williamalexander1791 kinda like how I'm all over your mom 🤣🤣🤣
It's just a distraction tactic 😂
RGT loves Nintendo, he’s just trolling lol. Who doesn’t love Nintendo 🤷🏼♂️
Money duh
Loving the idea of Elden Ring as a launch title for my Switch 2
Definitely double dipping for Elden Ring. Really enjoyed it and can't wait to play it again on Switch 2.
With the mouse function we need the pc exclusives
Starfield is a next-gen. game. It is the newest and most powerful graphics you can get. Came out last year.
It'll be dumbed down for this system.
@@jonesymeow9487Not by much I imagine
I struggle with mouse and keyboard myself but I see the benefit of it for games like Civilization, Diablo, and the FPS games like COD or Fortnite.
That's cute. But I don't hear anything new. And I don't care if it can play last gen AAA games. The switch did that. Switch 2 needs to do more.
The possibility of the joycons functioning as a mouse makes me wonder if Switch 2 will enable mouse controls for a lot of its games. Like COD on Switch 2 could be played with the same precision of a mouse if you wanted. Sounds pretty dope to me.
No then you come across thy xSWEATY SAXx aka SWEATY_SAX 2:02
A man after my own heart!😂
Switch pro essentially
The Switch 2 needs Bluetooth Mouse + Keyboard support from the start. Consoles support this for a while now, but almost no game uses it.
When Devs now implement M+K into their Switch games, maybe the others will follow.
I'm debating on buying a Switch lite because I can't wait till April...😂
April is the month for the proper presentation of the console. It will probably not even release until after June. 😂 But I'd wait for it instead of buying the older model.
That'd be a dumb thing to do but ok
Nah don’t hurt yourself doing that things super uncomfortable
I'm telling you my nieces destroyed my console and I've egged myself to buy a new one when I saw the trailer 2 weeks ago that flew out the window.
I have a Steam Deck and a big PC library, honestly having trouble justifying buying one...
Super Mario Maker 3 is going to be a launch title, Mouse controls are going to be a godsend in that game
He already lost $35 Billion when he bought Twitter . Let that sink in
Halo MCC and Diablo IV on the Switch 2 would be totally incredible. Being able to play these gems in handheld mode, while relaxing on my bed, would be a dream come true...👌
Dawg I'm turning notifications off for this channel. The switch 2 spam is insane
I can't wait for the update about the topic and it's not good news....for him.
Feel sorry for those kids coming across this angry 40 year old virgin !
OOOOOO,YOU SHOWED HIM!😂😂😂
😅😅😅😅😅😅
I actually have never heard of any Nintendo fan trashing on starfield. But I do know there are more Nintendo haters which absolutely makes no sense
Nintendo is a horrible company. That's why a lot of us hate them.
It’s a Switch Pro. Not a "Switch 2".
Why?
Man, are we seriously starting already...? 😒
Care to elaborate?
Care to defecate?
3/10 rage bait
Black mold guy gonna rock the Nintendo kids like the Toxic Avenger
The Switch 2 is boring
Oh ya? So you played it already?
Jim55324 = 🤡
Its now a meme
Your mom's but cheeks are boring 🫵🏼🤡🫵🏼
...and that's a good thing!
All these 3rd party games really gives me SNES vibes. When you could play all the first party N games and most other cool games of the era on one system.
I just want them to release a NEW look Nintendo e-Shop with the Switch 2. The current one is so Crap. Please Nintendo make a new e-Shop and give us the option to modify our own Home Screens on the Switch 2.
I bet you that this isn't even what the final Switch 2 design will actually look like....
Can't wait for the inevitable Mario Paint 2. You know that's probably a big reason they included the mouse stuff in the first place. I can almost picture the design meeting where someone brought up the idea of Mario Paint 2 and they ran with it because it's such a Nintendo thing to do to base a new hardware design on a single gimmicky/nostalgic concept.
the Game Cube era is back for the third party games on Nintendo
Dude when you said command and conquer, my nerd was showing
