    The gnarly one at 3 minutes looked like a candidate for C4 cord. Effective and controlled from a distance.

    Old growth cedars exploding, consequently nearly worthless. Most looked like heli. So doubtful it's even salvageable. But hey if it's in the strip, letter rip.

      Douglas Richards WRONG!! Another guy who doesn't know what you're talking about!! I know you're trying to be nice but these guys are young and not very good at cutting timber! But they're not getting killed so that's a good thing!

      @@Bryant1963 lol. I dont go here much. Just seen your comments. You have no clue.. anyone logger/faller with half a brain would see what's really goin on out there. The timber with any value is all layed out and bucked ..lol.The video is called danger trees. I realize all the wood you guys cut down south is round and sound so I guess it makes sense that you would make some dumbass comment like that.. we take our job seriously up here in canada. We are the best at what we do. Our trees are tougher . Our ground is tougher. You have no clue yank..

    That last tree...is any of the wood in that tree considered salvageable? I see all of these youtube videos of old cedars exploding and I just can't figure out why you'd even want to cut them.

      To get rid of them and replace them with healthy younger trees to harvest when they are mature for good usable lumber.

      TheTreeHuggingTreeCutter it’s dangerous to work around these hazard or danger trees.

    • @Bryant1963
      @Bryant1963 6 років тому

      TheTreeHuggingTreeCutter They are not all cedar and it's in Canada on the West cost! It's a mix of everything, a lot of Hemlock, Douglas, grand fir, Silver fir etc.! And the reason they're busting all their bigger trees is because these are young, experienced guys & they don't know what the fuck they're doing! They've cut almost everyone of their faces for their bigger trees wrong!! Their faces are not deep/thick enough for the size of the trees and they're not Cutting the timber with the right placement of holding wood & so their trees are going all over the goddamn place, especially angled down hill!! For the bigger trees you need to have a thicker wider face!! The bigger the tree the deeper or thicker the face needs to be, so the tree has somewhere to go and it can fall into the face, not close up the tiny gap that they've been leaving and break off and go down the hill! And they're not trimming any of their stumps and so they're breaking almost every tree that Cut!! I've fired many guys for doing just exactly that!! Pretty much all their trees are busting off and they're losing them angled down the hill because their faces are not thick/deep enough and they're not matching their cuts on the upper side of the tree so the tree will suck over right into the face!!

      Its like the West Coast of the Sth Island of N*Z,i have logged all around the Sth Pacific,but the wet coast is the hardest going i have ever done,strawline line always done with the chopper,gorges,big wood,steep asf and lots of undergrowth,and at times it rain for 6weeks everyday,it sorts the men from the boys!

    lol...not sure what kind of experience you have or where youve worked.. youre comments suggest you have no clue what youre talkin about.. its ok. not a lot of people get what we really do out here.. if you did you would see all the wood layed out and bucked as well as all the danger trees that i showed in tge vid.....

  • @Bryant1963

    I just want to stop here and say they're not the real thing! All that timber should go across the hill & on most of those big did not because you're not making your faces deep/thick enough! The bigger the tree the deeper/thicker the face needs to be! You guys cut most of your bigger trees & a lot of trees broke off instead of being cut off & many of your trees angled down the hill for that exact reason! You need to have that thicker wide wedge so your tree has a deep in the face to fall into but instead your tree are closing up the gap in your face, which is very narrow and it's breaking off and go down the hill instead of across the hill! And you on the upper side of your face your bottom cut should match perfect with the top cut you that you put a third of the way into the tree. Your boys are young so it just takes time.

      Your dumb and you need to keep your eye's open"Samson Loggerblood" and your mouth shut.Your talking about depths of face cuts, like you have a choice.Rotten wood, hard leen and Cedar, you lose some options.Get out of the the machine, leave the road chaser ( a guy that unhooks chokers on a landing in the road). This is a great video and the cutters are the real thing --- Been cutting in the Northwest since 1978 and I'm tired of loud mouth dip shits !
