This is the most beautiful build i have seen! I am going to start my "92 Niva resto in the next year or so. Can't wait. This build is a huge inspiration. Thanks!
Lada Niva's are king of Offroad not to mention cheapest of them all you can get gud one on Balkan contries for only $200-$300 and it can cost less $1000 or just $1200 sence their parts are cheapest and easily to be fixed and they are fun to drive around i had hell of a fun with em their manuals are amazing Russian from past are geniuses !
A lot of love involved, it's not about the money or time spent, it's about lot of love spent building this car. Currently I'm working on the Vectra B project and hoping to finish it until the spring. Meanwhile I fell in love with Niva. I love cars, love working on it, I love mountains, I need offroad car and also something to spare my Vectra during the winter. I have found the winner of next project contest and your Niva is one of the best versions I have seen. This is something I would like to build also. Great work man! Like nd sub!
Awesome! I'm planning a trip to Africa from Budapest, and I chose the 1.7 Niva for the Great Adventure. One day I hope to travel all around the globe starting from Budapest to Russia and China, trough Alaska to Canada, all across the US, and back to Europe on ship. Anyways, you did a great job on that Niva!
I have the same 1600 model from 1989, but my has stock beige color. I've restored it slightly 10 years ago (mostly rust removal, new lights, new seats, interior plastic), and I have always wanted to do it like exactly like you did yours. Unfortunately, most of the mods that you have done would make it street illegal due to laws and regulations in my country, so it always remained a fantasy of mine. I am glad to see someone actually made it, exactly like I wanted to do mine. I hope that you added diff locks for rear and front axel too! 🙂
Hi, thanks for the comment, I am lucky in that way that here in the US the regulations are not too strict yet. I'm originally from Belgium, and I know for sure I could never have done this there either. :) Don't have lockers yet on the axles, and if I do it will be in the rear, easy access when something goes wrong with them compared to the front.
How did you get such a stand to lift and rotate the car ? Are you located in Hungary, I am in Gyal and could use some help to aquire such a stand for my 2105.
Hey man, wanted to ask you if you could provide , links and names for he parts that you bought for your car . Restoring my Niva and I really like the way your cake out. 1. The roof rack , where did you buy ? Possible if I can get the link to it. 2. The four leds as well as the 2 on front bumper. 3. CB radio with antenna , how many feet is your antenna ? 4. Side steps and front and read bumpers. If you can send me the link to these parts where you bought from, or if you could provide me with the model numbers. Highly appreciate your help.
Pretty much most parts were aftermarket parts for a Jeep Wrangler, the bumpers are from EAG, the roof rack was custom made from a standard roof rack from Amazon, if you look at the pictures you will see it was custom welded, the side steps again are for Jeep Wrangler 2 door, but adapted to fit into the 2 jack holes on the bottom of the car. The spare tire was added to the rear bumper by welding a universal spare tire hinge kit, and welding tubes together. Antenna is 4 feet long from Firestick. Niva specific parts as wheel arches and snorkel were ordered from Russia. There was lots of welding involved to adapt everything to the Niva, but the Jeep Wrangler choice was the closest to Niva Specs. Hope this helps.
Lada Niva Resto also wanted to find out , How did you reproduce the door Tag with Vin Nunber/model and all the vehicle Info. where did you buy the screws to attach the tag back to the car . Thanks once again for all your help .
@@zaurr4157, I had this made locally at a laser engraving shop, it is just black anodized aluminum with letters and numbers laser engraved, I used rivets to permanently attach it to the vehicle.
Hello once again , Wanted to ask you , it looks like you had changed the old seat belts right ?and if yes , did you save the old once then? The reason why I am asking because I missing belts and was looking for the ones the car came with. I am Intersted in buying then. Please let me know . Thank you very much. For all your help.
Hi, the seat belts that were in the car originally were lap belts and in very bad shape, I no longer have them unfortunately. Thanks for your question.
it all depends what the condition of the vehicle is. Here in the US, I had to use vehicles that were available to me over 25 years of age. If you like the vehicle and it's in good shape, why not, save another Niva life :)
So far I have done this for myself, but I am open to explore custom orders. The hardest thing is parting with cars you put all the time and effort in. :)
The rims are Pro Comp Steel Wheels Series 51 Wheel with Flat Black Finish (15x8"/5x5.5"), suspension is from F-Design in Russia but springs in rear are thicker in coil wire diameter to cope with the extra weight of the rear bumper and roof rack.
To be honest, it's hard to put a price tag on it, this was a 3 year project and didn't really keep track, but I would guess we are looking somewhere between $8,000 and $10,000, I just finished putting a Holley EFI kit on my Niva, I hope to get a video up soon.
@@ladanivaresto9699 Thank you for the valuable information you have provide. And I hope you will finish your project as soon as possible. All I want to ask is the name and brand of paint used on the vehicle?

Hi, beautiful build. I understand the front seats are from a BMW M3, but can you please let me know what car the rear seats came from, thank you.
Original seats recovered, just redone to match the front seats.
What is the set up for weber carb(jets and other...)? Nice job....outstanding
Hi, I actually converted it to a Holley Sniper EFI system last year, which is a carb style single point EFI. I will post a video soon.
Hi, from Spain, the Holley sniper, fits in the niva manifold? A short video will be great!!!
