I am lucky enough to work in finance and have a large collection of high end watches, but I can see this watch competing with the Apple Watch for wrist time. Whilst the Rolex Daytona and Patek Phillipe Nautilus make the impression when demanded, there is NOTHING that beats the real world practicality of the Casio G Shock, and in steel it makes the cut for the boardroom. They are on a winner with this, and am sure many people that have huge incomes will choose this watch because it has a cool factor that few others can approach.

Awesome looking watch. It’s got the appeal of a smaller watch (especially for a g shock), it’s a classic design, and it’s in steel. For me there’s nothing to not like about it. Yet reading the comments there’s people still unhappy about it. I really feel for these companies, “you can’t please everyone” is such a true statement.

I do like this watch but what else I can so with that bluetooth except se Birthday reminders and se time location on phone with app which I don't need to so see this kind of things? Am fan of G shock and I have few but not for 500$ 😁
@@PowerBeeKill You can also set your timer, all 5 alarms, swap home time with world time, and use the app to sync the watch time (models without atomic) all with a simple data push to your watch. No countless pusher pushes to get it set quickly. Honestly, they just glossed over it's functionality here in the advert.

I'm so glad I got this watch this year. Not only do I wear it because it's shock resistant, 200 meters water resistant, fully stainless steel, solar power, bluetooth connection, mineral glass, show it off to people, but because it's design from the original g shock watch back in 1983. I wear it as a symbol from the original. Wishing I was there in those times. Good old 1980s.

Just bought one last October and have worn it practically everyday for half a year now though i have to say it sometimes is annoyingly heavy, but def enjoy wearing it. Also, you'd be surprised the attention it gets and is also a conversation starter. I totally forgot my other swiss watches.

Hello there, a year too late, but the GD-350 model G shock has a good screen and with vibration alert. But! It does not come with Tough Solar or Multiband 6(radio clock signal) nor bluetooth. A battery operated G-shock with a good screen and vibration alert among other usual features. Check out the channel Watch Geek.

You need to contact the watch to your phone via Bluetooth and open the G-Connect app. The battery level indicator bar will be on the top left of your screen. Hope that helps!

It's difficult as the bracelet has interlocking mechanisms had to swap.

Yep there is 5000u version of the same watch but sleek rubber band around £250 and the other m5610u for £120 this one is Thailand made and 5000u piece is japan made.

Casio isn't reparable, you can't get movement moduls either for the last 15 years.
I own a CASIO G-SHOCK DW-5600C with the 691 module since 1989, when it was given to me as a gift and still going strong.

But this model is generating huge interest and massive positive comments. That may mean little if any discounts, at least initially...
