Once I visited the mass grave site where Anne Frank is supposedly buried and saw a woman filming a tiktok video looking sad next to the grave marker then when finished walking away laughing and saying "this will get me a lot of views. I asked her, her account name and posted it to my socials with the video I recorded. She got views but not like she wanted and deleted her account shortly after.

Anne Frank didn't be buried at Auschwitz.
She was forced to move by Nazi SS from Auschwitz which was going to be closed because of USSR liberation to Bergen-Belsen in Germany. She died in Bergen-Belsen camp not in Auschwitz.

This is a memorial and a museum meant to educate the public about the horrors of history, not an amusement park. Its hallowed ground. Not only that, many Jews visit there to pay respects to their grandparents or great-grandparents who were executed there. How do you think they would feel if they saw her posing for a photo like that?

In such a place, you must behave appropriately and with respect for the people who died there. The image of the cruelty that took place there, the biting of children by dogs and many others, cannot be explained and described rationally.
I read the book Daniel's Story (great book btw) that pretty much describes what the main character and his family went through during the Holocaust and in a concentration camp. Whether it was actually Auschwitz or another camp, the conditions were still horrible nonetheless. Lice commonly found on your blankets and all. If you plan on reading it, when I say the descriptions are baaad, I mean baaad.

Hell if Auschwitz was set up again to restart processing humans the way it was designed for, these people would even take selfies inside while millions get killed.

@@dougfoster445 i dont think there is something inherently wrong with taking selfies, i think the problem is when you are posing for your Instagram as if you are in a vacation in dubai or something. I still took no pictures during my visit though out of respect for the historical site.

what would possess a person to want to take a smiling selfie in Auschwitz? Its the sight of one of the worlds largest cemetary/ crime scene . I sincerely hope someone in her group or a guide schooled her and the countless others that obviously had horrible home training/failures for parents as to how to show respect to those souls that perished. As a mother, I would be beyond mortified if any child of mine acted so stupidly and ignorantly. This makes me sooo mad!!!!

My son one time visited Auschwitz. He told me that while he was there, a busload of high school students from Israel arrived. He said they were laughing and joking as if they were going to the circus.
One time my uncle (rest his soul.) visited aschuwitz he said once he stepped foot on the soil the birds stopped chirping this was a very sad and devastating time.

I was there last week, I saw people striking a pose as if it were a picnic spot, while the tour guide was narrating the horrors people went through on the same soil we were standing at. People really have lost their commonsense.

Went to Auschwitz in 2016. A Chinese man who was in our group almost in the exact location as this women broke out a bag of Cheetos and started eating them as the tour guide was talking to us. Eating chips in the exact same spot as millions were starving to death. She quickly stopped him and let him know it was wrong.

Holocaust Survivor Toivi Blatt said one of his childhood playmates from Izbica told him, "I hope that I see you again on a shelf with the soap".
When Toivi came home there was a reception committee waiting to murder him. He escaped with the Red Army. He lived in Poland as a secret police officer, then moved to Israel and then to California.
In the 1990s Mr. Blatt he came back to visit. The guy living in his family home asked him where his family hid their gold.
The guy ended up trashing the house seeking the gold. The house today is a vacant lot at #10 Stokowa street in Izbica Poland. You can see it on Google Maps.

People could certainly be disrespectful and unfeeling when something like this has never been bestowed upon them or their loved ones she’s a young woman who has not lived long enough to experience grave sadness. I don’t wish that on anyone, but until you feel the sadness and the plight yourself and others., you can never gain the depth that is necessary to feel what they have felt. I believe one day she will understand and look back on this picture and be regretful. It’s a horrifying story I should say occurrence/event. I have known German people who denied that this happened. It discussed me but I didn’t want to get into a debate about it, so I let them say they’re peace, but I knew the truth, may all these victims Rest In Peace.
