Thank you for teaching me how to use vintage to decorate! I value your opinion and class in etiquette ! My Mom send us to finishing school when I was a little girl! But the old saying, if you don’t use it you lose it! Not all but some ! My passion is tablescape! It will come back to me! Some things I haven’t forgotten! Table manners and how to sit and go up and down stairs, how to use your silverware and napkins, getting in and out of cars etc ! Victoria C .
Wonderful ideas for divided dishware and rose bowl! I thrifted both these items recently and have used them already for serving olives/cheese and crackers with the rose bowl used for candlelight! My husband and I love to watch our favorite shows on weekends and use the many glass dishes for "charcuterie dinners"! My favorites are ones that came with silver serve trays (they are in abundance at goodwill stores) and we elevate our every day since paper goods are so expensive!!! TFS Lady Mary Beth!
Am watching marathon your videos while still in quarantine period!😊😎, i love watching your videos, i learned some tips and entertained at the same time ❤️😎👍
Thank you so much for the idea of using a rose bowl as a tissue holder!! I’ve been looking for weeks for a tissue holder for my nightstand. My bedroom is a combination of antiques and reproductions. The rose bowl will fit in with my decor perfectly. The fact that it is clear glass will keep it from looking super bulky like many that I have seen. I live in Houston as well which is wonderful because I can watch you shop and know that I can shop at the same places.
Just now responding after being overseas and jet-lagged. Glad that you are in Houston. Yes, the rose bowl is perfect for tissues. I filmed at Stillgoode Consignments today in North Houston. Lots of treasures!
I do something similar with Depression glass in the bathroom holding razors, Q-tips, toothbrushes and such. What's the worse that can happen? They break? My kids won't want any of it and the daily use helps me recall my mother and grandmother.
So glad you reached out to share this use. Had several say that they don’t believe that I use a rose bowl as a toothbrush/toothpaste/floss holder. A vintage item really shows better than the expected one with small holes. Fits more and can be a multipurpose item and space saver.
@@LadyMaryBeth I also use another lovely blue glass for my makeup brushes & lip liners; I so enjoy watching your videos; they are so informative; just now I was watching your teacup collection
Here, there, and everywhere is the short answer. We have two homes and great in-home storage/display. We rotate and use many of the treasures you see in segments. Some are great gifts for family and friends.
You said Intaglio. How is that possible to do that with glass. Isn't Intaglio a wax relief method of imposing a pattern on to softer metals, such as a ring that melt at a much lower temperature than glass?
Intaglio is a form of design/decoration where the picture is below the surface of the glass. This effect may be achieved by cutting away the glass to form the shape of the design, or by pressing the molten glass into a mold.

Yes, merci! I took out a crystal bowl which I added my silk flowers pot in. Just gorgeous!

A viewer recently shared another idea. Small pitchers and creamers are great for salad dressing, especially on a buffet. 💡
Great use of a rose bowl for tissues.
Always very informative.

I like your ideas; I use an elegant green glass to hold my toothbrush, toothpaste & flosser

Where do you store all your cystal and dishes?

And now I am ready to hit the thrifting road. At some point would you consider demonstrating how you store your table linens, napkins, chargers etc?
Jerre Bergeron, great idea for a future segment. 💡

May I have a chocolate chip cookie?

Pronounce flur de lee
I pronounce this in the French manner. It is usually spoken as "lee" in America. The "s" is not silent in the original language.
