Electrons are the key to a good understanding of static electricity.

We must remember that everything is made of ATOMS and that atoms are mostly NOTHING and that atoms get their structure from ELECTRONS that are on the OUTSIDE. Adding electrons makes something more negative. Removing electrons makes something more positive.
