Spent "just a few" hours there during Viet Nam WestPac cruises in the late 60's and early 70's. Visited the Naval Aviation Museum, had lunch in the Cubi Bar and tipped a few beers in honor of those that didn't make it back.

This is so interesting and amazing to me. My father was an Annapolis grad and was stationed 3 times at Pensacola. I was born there in 1951 - the last time he was stationed there. In 1957 we moved to Cubi Point. He was ComFAIRPHIL from 1957-1959. I am coming to visit the museum and Cubi Point Cafe and Bar at the end of the month (Oct). I am bringing copies of the original official photos taken we he and the family arrived, plus a couple related to the change of command to donate to Cubi Point Cafe and Bar.
