I grew up in Crestview, been here many times. Joined the Navy as an AT, went through 4 months of A-school at the Mega building in Pensacola. Proud to be a Sailor.
Next month I’m flying to Tampa from the UK to visit my father who is a retired Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm CPO. Together we’re driving to Pensacola to visit this museum & to watch the Blues perform. I’m very excited to get the chance to see first hand what this special establishment has to offer.
I’m glad the museum is finally open again to the civilian public without DOD cleared escort. Unfortunately the last two times I was in the Pensacola area, the museum wasn’t available. Maybe someday I’ll get to visit.
Decided to put this in the watch later file until I feel more patient. When you click on an aviation museum vid you expect to see aircraft. 10 minutes in after some jibber jabber we see a few of them then a return to more talking.

Are the aircraft in the museum flyable or have the air frames been cut ?
