i think between 1 and 2 since new Disney's opening features a one star shining so bright in the sky that always comes down when another wish will be granted (when a new disney movie is made), i think he should return to the sky, but that is not goodbye, there must also be a way to make asha THE fairy godmother

What we got; A boring heroine, an annoying talking goat, a cute star who is ONLY THERE to sold plushes, a king who became evil out of nowhere, horrible pop music who don't go at all in a medieval world. This video has more charm and creativity than the movie. I love Starboy's design and his reactions are adorable 🥰
there never was a love story...if you actually read the WISH art book you would know that the star boy was supposed to be the star taking the form of a younger version of Asha's grandpa. a romance between asha and her young grandpa would be weird.

He became bad because of paranoia. Something happened to his old home and he was afraid of it happening again to the point where he would do anything to stop it from happening unfortunately he let fear control him to the point of diving into dark magic even though he knew that it was bad idea to get involved with that stuff. He refused to believe that he was in the wrong. You can tell because there are clues in the movie about his background and the tapestry which was damaged as if had been in fire and the way he talked about wishes.
2:22 I love the way Starboy is looking at Asha. The look of someone saying, “That’s my girl.” Like, I’m so weak for their dynamic, it’s so cute! He’s so proud of his girlfriend. 😭🥰

the fact that he is mute makes the scene more emotional. Thus, he expresses himself only with his face and body. Not to mention that, it gives more impact on the scene, as it is noted that he wants to scream by calling for Asha as he see her being tortured by the magnificent and still say how happy he is to see the people joining to help them.
The only thing missing is Amaya standing next to Magnifico and not singing in the crowd. Sorry I still can't get over the treatment of her character. "I love you, I love you, I love you but when you need me most I abandon you and conspire with your enemies to take you out... and I'll do it with a smile :) "

(Permanent armour that could never be taken off) A/c the novels, picturebooks and trivia released by the author on instagram, Nightlight was the guardian of the Man in the Moon (MiM) when he was a baby, He almost sacrificed himself for MiM's safety, and the only reason he became jack frost is bc he broke the rule by falling in love with a mortal girl called Katherine (who later became Mother Goose and the love of his life) Which triggered Nightlight's transformation, his armour fell off, he was confused, so he pretended to be a human and live with a human family as just "Jack", exploring and rediscovering himself, before giving his life to protect that human family from Pitch Black, and completing the transformation into Jackson Overland Frost. Initially, Jack wore just pants - the same pair he was wearing as a "human teen" the day he saved the family and fell into the frozen lake - And for a time his upper body was bare until he helped out some woodland critters and the Mice Folk and flower fairies stitched him his current "uniform".

i wanted so badly for this film to be similar to what rise of the guardians means to me. starboy was meant to be the jack frost of disney and 2020s fandom culture. jack and rotg never quite got the limelight they deserved... i gasped when i saw how you animated starboy here. he makes my heart ache. i miss his type of character so much. thank you for doing this and sharing this. i hope to see more of this beautiful reimagine
Imagine a flow of golden light streaking through this scene as Starboy regains his strength and power. Imagine the screen being full of light and color as he uses everyone’s combined wishes to become the wishing star again and the overwhelming magic a scene like that could have held. I keep thinking of how much more dramatic this scene could have been. Your addition of Starboy already made this feel emotional in a way. Especially with how he reacted when Asha got hurt. Star boy and Asha could have been a great celestial love story and I wish we got this instead
Perhaps being a star kept him mute, so he wishes to be human, and Asha grants it, allowing him to speak as a happy ending, while they embrace in a kiss. I want this now.
I can’t explain how beautiful star boy looks, the way it’s added into the film. It feels like he should’ve been in the film. His design and possible love story that could’ve been make this video really cool
I noticed that too! And I think is the origin of the star of diseny (that you always see in the movies(the movie) ) so a theory is that is the mirror from snow White! Don't quote me on that it is just a theory.
I like to think Magnifico later became the Magic Mirror because he agreed to serve the Evil Queen in exchange for her freeing him from the mirror after. But the Queen had no intention of freeing him after just a day, and Magnifico still being trapped couldn't do anything but continue serving her in hopes that one day she would actually free him. But that's just my theory😊

I've never seen a film that fumbled it's true potential SO badly that an entire fandom pulled together to animate what it should have been in every way possible. This is amazing!!!
So empathetic! I love Star Boy’s expressions: 0:16, 0:43, 1:00, 1:12, 1:40, 1:46, 2:06, & 2:22. This makes “This Wish (Reprise)” scene more appealing and powerful at the same time! 🤩⭐️✨ Also Star Boy defeating the villain at the end, at 2:39, is so satisfying to see.
Can’t help but remember “The Emperors’ New Groove.” The film also had a history of changes but somehow the animators and studio in a way made it work. Maybe someday, we can look back at this movie and laugh.
This makes so much more sense than them just singing at him to defeat him. Like honestly why would the staff suck him in just because they got their wishes back and did the jiggy.
I actually liked Wish, BUT… This version of star boy is just a vibe. I want more of it. He doesn’t even need to be a love interest, he could carry the plot with his personality alone. And whoever designed/animated star boy gets top marks all around.
I think this movie reminded the masses we miss the simple fairy tales. Personally I miss the boy meets girl, they help each other grow, and the simple story lines. I don't think they will, but I hope Disney will take what they threw away with Wish and make a great fairy tale movie
I love at 1:48 the little head nod from Starboy to start bringing the wishes out of the staff. It's such a tiny little motion, a tiny little detail, but it's so so good I love when tiny motions cause big actions (Also I just noticed the mask from the mirror in Snow White for a single frame at 2:46)
THIS. IS. SO. GOOD. Starboy doesn't talk, yet he feels so alive and his hand gestures show everything he could've said but he doesn't! And it's so amazing! Also you're soo good at rendering, his model is very well made
Now this is what it should've been. If only Disney delayed the movie for about a year after the entertainment union strikes were over. The OG is what you get when you lay off half of your creative team and the writers go on strike. But this is what you get when you have a very creative vision!

Oh yes, Like many of the songs could've also been redone to pay homage to classic films. Like Welcome to Rosas could've been like Belle from Beauty and the Beast but with accents of melodies based on Spanish and Mediterranean culture because Rosas is based partially on Spain and Mediterranean areas. This Wish just needs some lyric retweaks here and there. I'm a Star needed to be a more fun song that paid homage to songs such as Friend Like Me, Under the Sea, Be Our Guest, and the silly song from Snow white. This is the thanks I get had a great rewrite and cover by Caleb Hyles. At all costs could've been a beautiful love song between Star Boy and Asha. And the Queen could've been a twist villain before the song what I know now. This would happen as the climax and Starboy now becomes King Aster, Marries Asha and they live happily ever after.
I literally started tearing up. Imagining what this movie could’ve been and never will be, perhaps representing looking to the Wishing Star and believing in Disney’s Magic again if the movie would’ve done well and the creatives would’ve had space to breath, makes me so sad
Eeeeeek when starboy watched Asha desperate to save her I literally screamed "STARBOY SAVE YOUR GF FROM THAT VILLIAN!!!" you did a great job oh my goodness I love your animations!! to be honest Disney thought that if StarBoy was there it would make Asha look weak because you know starboy is powerful and all. but from what I see here in the movie (fan-Made) is that asha does not look weak she looks stronger than ever when helping the people of roses to believe and to have hope again, as she stands up StarBoy Defeats Magnifico when he had his magic back. I loved the way his eyes glowed! It sucked that disney didn't put this in the script but hey at least fans are doing them a favor XD keep going with your animations! btw I want more of this :D I am not pressuring you or anything! haha-

The irony of hearing Jack's voice as the villain while seeing Jack's face as a disney inspired fan animated character is not lost on me here. It's certainly got me chuckling. Disney really dropped the ball with this one. Hell, they could have even brought on the author of ROTG (William Joyce) to help design characters, he is an artist after all, and has a thing about drawing adorable immortal celestial beings with a love for the human condition. He's literally made productions for Disney in the past before. I think Disney Corp wanted so badly to make a marketable product that was also super cheap and 'safe' and they lost the entire point and meaning of Disney the studio of imagination. When a corporation meddles in the affairs of creatives, u get garbage. When creatives take back control and are allowed to do what they'd originally set out to do, u get amazing concepts and ideas and animations like THIS.
This is so much better than just the town defeating Magnifico by *singing.* Starboy getting the power from their wishes and him defeating Magnifico is so much better

Hello everyone!! So I rewrote some things in wish! Lemme know what y'all think! To begin, I'll fix king magnifico. Instead of him being egocentric and right in all of his actions (before he hurt Rosas ofc) I feel like they could've made him genuinely evil. For example, he could use the wishes to intentionally deceive people into giving theirs to him, then he uses it to take their lifeform without them knowing. And the wishes he'd grant are either only to benefit himself and not the actual kingdom, or to cause chaos for his entertainment so he could come off as selfish, evil and power hungry. And after he found out about starboy's existence, he'd become furious since he believes that his plans would be ruined and he knew that he needed to capture starboy to take all his magical energy to turn Rosas into a kingdom of evil. Of course this would all be because of his past but that doesn't excuse his actions. Next, during the story, starboy could've told Asha that truly not every wish can be granted and it could raise her humbleness and knowledge so she doesn't come off as a brat who didn't get what she wanted and instead have a proper characters arc that changes this for her to be more wise and serious. Now, during the final battle aka this wish reprise. Asha uses her knowledge and opens all the townspeoples eyes to see how terrible of a king magnifico really is, so the lyric "To have something more for us than this" could be more impactful and make more sense. Then after starboy gets freed, he uses the magical energy that magnifico stole from him to free all the wishes and take off the life draining curse that was put on them, which made magnifico powerless and put into the dungeon. Then after the battle when all the people gained back their wishes and became more careful, instead of Asha turning into a fairy, she turns into a intelligent princess leader who could rely on herself and let he people of Rosas happily pursue all their dreams themselves But ofc she and starboy is still a happy couple. This was a lot to write but I hope you liked my take!

at this point I'm down to add him into the whole movie to be honest! 😭 I've been working on these scenes so much that Star Boy is the canon for me by now and seeing Star is weird
I hope all of you at Disney are watching. Asha remains the protagonist here but she is also something more, she's an essential part of a much more elaborate and satisfying team effort. Star Boy has the power but it's Asha who gives it back, thanks to the people of Rosas. It's not just a magical little song that solves everything, it's an organic climax where everyone plays their part. What I'm saying is that you shouldn't take away a couple and a relationship worrying that it will take something away from the main character, the screenwriters put everything in its place (if they're good). It is thanks to a good script that we fell in love with Rapunzel and Flynn, Anna and Kristoff and we could in this case too... because they work great when they're together. The parallels to the evil king and queen would have been great then (other missed opportunity). There are several animators who are putting themselves out there to give us the best version of Wish, the version that you inspired but didn't have the courage to make... and they are all better! They understand the meaning of a good payoff! Watch and take notes for the future.

This version actually gave me chills compared to the original. Just following your version of the story and seeing how much of a difference one character makes is amazing
NOW THAT IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT! Ha ha! A little bit of starboy being more tied up and on his knees but otherwise it’s amazing. If Disney put that in the movie along with the love story with Starboy and Asha and just have Magnifico as the villain then I would love to rewatch Wish a dozen more times.

A personal image I had was that the stars would disappear (not just smog), followed by the citizens' wishes restoring them, with the constellation forming Star as he smiles down on Asha. Once again, great work! And I hope Disney's next original film is much better than "Wish."
I always think of Starboy now as Star when he’s traveling somewhere so he gets there faster like from the forest to the castle. That would’ve been cool to see in the movie
Magic, excitement, enchantment, wonders, imagination, music, action, fantasy, thrills, and adventures. This is an amazing, beautiful and strong song in Wish. Oh, if only Disney could allow Star Boy to be with Asha, even though he isn't completely human. But I know he loves her since the night they first met after Asha made a wish upon a star. I never give up believing in fairies and magic with all my heart because I still refuse to grow up, and forget about the precious things I knew, especially those from my childhood. I am like Peter Pan and have his youthful spirit. My one and only wish is to keep the magic alive for all time. And I also wish to be a fairy to stay strong, childlike, young, and beautiful forever and ever like Tinker Bell, the Disney fairies, and the other fair folks. Believe in magic! ⭐🌟🌠🧚🧚♂🧚♀

He almost sacrificed himself for MiM's safety, and the only reason he became jack frost is bc he broke the rule by falling in love with a mortal girl called Katherine (who later became Mother Goose and the love of his life)
Which triggered Nightlight's transformation, his armour fell off, he was confused, so he pretended to be a human and live with a human family as just "Jack", exploring and rediscovering himself, before giving his life to protect that human family from Pitch Black, and completing the transformation into Jackson Overland Frost.
Initially, Jack wore just pants - the same pair he was wearing as a "human teen" the day he saved the family and fell into the frozen lake -
And for a time his upper body was bare until he helped out some woodland critters and the Mice Folk and flower fairies stitched him his current "uniform".

Imagine a flow of golden light streaking through this scene as Starboy regains his strength and power. Imagine the screen being full of light and color as he uses everyone’s combined wishes to become the wishing star again and the overwhelming magic a scene like that could have held.
I keep thinking of how much more dramatic this scene could have been. Your addition of Starboy already made this feel emotional in a way. Especially with how he reacted when Asha got hurt.

At 2:45 you can see the Magic Mirror's face from Snow White!! Might be one of the few things Disney did right. ;P
I noticed that too! And I think is the origin of the star of diseny (that you always see in the movies(the movie) ) so a theory is that is the mirror from snow White! Don't quote me on that it is just a theory.
I like to think Magnifico later became the Magic Mirror because he agreed to serve the Evil Queen in exchange for her freeing him from the mirror after. But the Queen had no intention of freeing him after just a day, and Magnifico still being trapped couldn't do anything but continue serving her in hopes that one day she would actually free him. But that's just my theory😊

I've never seen a film that fumbled it's true potential SO badly that an entire fandom pulled together to animate what it should have been in every way possible. This is amazing!!!

Oh yes, Like many of the songs could've also been redone to pay homage to classic films. Like Welcome to Rosas could've been like Belle from Beauty and the Beast but with accents of melodies based on Spanish and Mediterranean culture because Rosas is based partially on Spain and Mediterranean areas.
This Wish just needs some lyric retweaks here and there.
I'm a Star needed to be a more fun song that paid homage to songs such as Friend Like Me, Under the Sea, Be Our Guest, and the silly song from Snow white.

Eeeeeek when starboy watched Asha desperate to save her I literally screamed "STARBOY SAVE YOUR GF FROM THAT VILLIAN!!!" you did a great job oh my goodness I love your animations!! to be honest Disney thought that if StarBoy was there it would make Asha look weak because you know starboy is powerful and all. but from what I see here in the movie (fan-Made) is that asha does not look weak she looks stronger than ever when helping the people of roses to believe and to have hope again, as she stands up StarBoy Defeats Magnifico when he had his magic back. I loved the way his eyes glowed! It sucked that disney didn't put this in the script but hey at least fans are doing them a favor XD keep going with your animations! btw I want more of this :D I am not pressuring you or anything! haha-

The irony of hearing Jack's voice as the villain while seeing Jack's face as a disney inspired fan animated character is not lost on me here. It's certainly got me chuckling. Disney really dropped the ball with this one. Hell, they could have even brought on the author of ROTG (William Joyce) to help design characters, he is an artist after all, and has a thing about drawing adorable immortal celestial beings with a love for the human condition. He's literally made productions for Disney in the past before. I think Disney Corp wanted so badly to make a marketable product that was also super cheap and 'safe' and they lost the entire point and meaning of Disney the studio of imagination. When a corporation meddles in the affairs of creatives, u get garbage. When creatives take back control and are allowed to do what they'd originally set out to do, u get amazing concepts and ideas and animations like THIS.
This is so much better than just the town defeating Magnifico by *singing.* Starboy getting the power from their wishes and him defeating Magnifico is so much better

Hello everyone!! So I rewrote some things in wish! Lemme know what y'all think!
To begin, I'll fix king magnifico. Instead of him being egocentric and right in all of his actions (before he hurt Rosas ofc) I feel like they could've made him genuinely evil. For example, he could use the wishes to intentionally deceive people into giving theirs to him, then he uses it to take their lifeform without them knowing. And the wishes he'd grant are either only to benefit himself and not the actual kingdom, or to cause chaos for his entertainment so he could come off as selfish, evil and power hungry. And after he found out about starboy's existence, he'd become furious since he believes that his plans would be ruined and he knew that he needed to capture starboy to take all his magical energy to turn Rosas into a kingdom of evil. Of course this would all be because of his past but that doesn't excuse his actions.
Next, during the story, starboy could've told Asha that truly not every wish can be granted and it could raise her humbleness and knowledge so she doesn't come off as a brat who didn't get what she wanted and instead have a proper characters arc that changes this for her to be more wise and serious.
Now, during the final battle aka this wish reprise. Asha uses her knowledge and opens all the townspeoples eyes to see how terrible of a king magnifico really is, so the lyric "To have something more for us than this" could be more impactful and make more sense. Then after starboy gets freed, he uses the magical energy that magnifico stole from him to free all the wishes and take off the life draining curse that was put on them, which made magnifico powerless and put into the dungeon.
Then after the battle when all the people gained back their wishes and became more careful, instead of Asha turning into a fairy, she turns into a intelligent princess leader who could rely on herself and let he people of Rosas happily pursue all their dreams themselves But ofc she and starboy is still a happy couple.
This was a lot to write but I hope you liked my take!

I hope all of you at Disney are watching. Asha remains the protagonist here but she is also something more, she's an essential part of a much more elaborate and satisfying team effort. Star Boy has the power but it's Asha who gives it back, thanks to the people of Rosas. It's not just a magical little song that solves everything, it's an organic climax where everyone plays their part. What I'm saying is that you shouldn't take away a couple and a relationship worrying that it will take something away from the main character, the screenwriters put everything in its place (if they're good). It is thanks to a good script that we fell in love with Rapunzel and Flynn, Anna and Kristoff and we could in this case too... because they work great when they're together. The parallels to the evil king and queen would have been great then (other missed opportunity). There are several animators who are putting themselves out there to give us the best version of Wish, the version that you inspired but didn't have the courage to make... and they are all better! They understand the meaning of a good payoff! Watch and take notes for the future.

The underrated potential with the scrap concepts of a better plot as it’s been forever to see a blend of romance in modern Disney
A personal image I had was that the stars would disappear (not just smog), followed by the citizens' wishes restoring them, with the constellation forming Star as he smiles down on Asha.
Once again, great work! And I hope Disney's next original film is much better than "Wish."
I always think of Starboy now as Star when he’s traveling somewhere so he gets there faster like from the forest to the castle. That would’ve been cool to see in the movie

Oh, if only Disney could allow Star Boy to be with Asha, even though he isn't completely human. But I know he loves her since the night they first met after Asha made a wish upon a star. I never give up believing in fairies and magic with all my heart because I still refuse to grow up, and forget about the precious things I knew, especially those from my childhood. I am like Peter Pan and have his youthful spirit. My one and only wish is to keep the magic alive for all time.
