I’ve always thought Asha’s design screamed she’d have a more low key personality than what was in the final film, making it come across mismatched. This deleted footage clearly shows her original character did match her design and it’s so much better EDIT: Starboy, the evil couple , the humour, emotional weight and so much more…we were really robbed. This is way more interesting than what we got. We were robbed by the higher-ups. I know it's stupid but I kinda hope that one day we'll get the film we were actually promised
The stakes felt higher, the pace feels more intense, the story was darker, everything was much more authentic. A shame this didn’t make it to the silver screen
its kinda weird how much was lost in the final product. literally everything that you see in the movie is a clutter of story aspects mixed into each other without any cohesiveness. Everytime these deleted scenes and ideas are posted it seems as if it all makes more sense why certain story aspects were there at all, but then why couldn't they just write a proper story around it for its final result.
I loved that deleted scene of her, grandfather(?), and the wishing tree. I got the feels when he said that line about people should be able to pursue their own wishes near the end.
Im not gonna lie, all of these are FAR better than the final product. Its to the point where fans are making there own versions and im obsessed with seeing them. I hope someone remakes the movie in a way it wouldn't get copyrighted for being that damn good. Just the song At all cost has many fan animatics and anytime i watch or listen to that demo i just want to throw cash at random creators to all come together and make a better movie.
They definitely should've kept THIS instead!!! Magnifico and Maya are much more threatening here! And I'd prefer if Star did speak and shape-shift rather than *squeak*
I like how in the original Asha still is immature and quirky BUT is actually relatable and more cautious! Giving her more personality and an ACTUAL direction to take her character for an arch. Because clearly in the new version the writers had NO CLUE where to take Asha's character showing as she didn't change or grow whatsoever. Plus Asha and Starboy as well as Magnifico and Amaya are so dang cute DISNEY WHY DID YOU THROW THIS AWAY THE COUPLES ARE SO WELL WRITTEN AND CUTE! 10:03 THIS SCENE IS SO CUTE THE WAY THE TOUCH FOREHEAD ADSFKADSFKADSFK- I'ma pretend this is the actual movie.
So people need to stop complaining and hating on it. It is what it is now and there’s nothing we can do about it. Complaining about this movie and giving it unnecessary hate won’t make anything better. Disney is not going to be remaking this movie at all.
"No one should have to live and die without trying to make their wish come true" god that wouldve been so powerful esp for the youth today. They couldve seen how people in power WILL allow you to work till you die, and they truly dont care about you at all unless you have money or a wish that benefits those in power.
Go watch some older Disney movies! there are all sorts of subtle jokes for adults that go completely over kids heads. One in particular is Toy Story. This feels VERY much like Disney again. entertainment for all ages!
@@mb-sb5ever no there are several jokes in Disney movies that kids wouldn’t get. I’m not only counting sexual jokes :/ lines that someone older would catch and get a laugh out of. Plenty of Disney movies have them. Aristocats, Aladdin, Zootopia, Cars, Finding Nemo, to name a few.
@@littlerayhayrikugaming5006SAME THE LAST PLACE I WAS EXPECTING TO HEAR THE WORD “POOKIE” WAS IN A FULLY FLEDGED DISNEY MOVIE😭😭😭☠️☠️☠️ I WAS LITERALLY THINKING “DID SHE JUST CALL HIM POOKIE OMFG”
I love how 4:07 implies a better direction for the whole message around wishes. It seems instead of ‘every wish should be granted’ like the final movie seemed to be saying, instead this is saying that in order to accomplish a wish, you must have the courage to reveal it even if some people may try to destroy it. 10/10 so much cooler of an idea!
10:25 I love hearing Asha's softer and more reserved voice in this scene. Given that's how she was conceptualized (and with energetic Starboy as her foil) and the grave context of the scene, it feels really genuine and so refreshing from the modern, bubbly Disney princesses. I think Elsa is the only modern Disney 'princess' who's felt similarly quiet.
This actually looks like a movie worth watching. It has some really beautiful nostalgic moments, a plot that actually makes sense and way better dynamics, characters and dialogue than we got int the final movie. I WISH they made this into a movie instead.
this version here feels so authentic to disney/pixar (but especially disney!), i was reminded of the lion king, aladdin, hercules, tangled, hunchback, the incredibles….just wow! so disappointing that this amazing movie never got to be made as intended :(
Wow it’s almost like the original concept had personality and soul behind it! I will say this gives me hope for the future of media, but it should be recognized where it will come from. It won’t be in the hands of corporations, but in individuals. In so many ways Wish is like an ironic yet perfect representation of that struggle right now. The fact it’s spawned a fandom who has taken the work into their own hands to prove that true human creativity and dreams can’t die under soulless greed and censorship is proof.
So much better. Don’t get me wrong, I like the final movie but this one is stronger. The villain couple is so evil while having a taste of comedy. Lynx is such a cool sidekick. Beauty and the beast furniture fight? Perfect placement. The writers really have a good study on classic Disney movies. This feels like something we can expect from Disney in our childhood. They should keep this version. And Asha is STRONG here. Being strong don’t need to be a leader, first founder, all by yourself. Being a leader type character doesn’t make her strong. Everyone has their own part in a group. Group mates are not sidekick. They are not here to make the main character smarter than everyone .
First of all No second of all, they didn’t rob us they change story to not only show what divorce actually feels like but also go all out for Easter eggs to make this a little more sense for the studios 100 anniversary in this movie
it really gave me the vibes of old Disney like actually meaningful art and storytelling that feels vulnerable and real and they just sanitized it so much. I haven't seen the film but I can just tell from the trailers how different it is
Hang on: Does this mean that in the original concept the King wanted to EAT Star?!!!! That's pretty twisted, especially in the earlier concepts where star was a co-protaganist (and Star boy 🤩). Messed up....and awesome!! I need more creepy stuff like that back in our kid movies now a days. Gives them a nice mature edge
the undertones of cannabilism- especially if Star was in human form in scenes with Magnifico- that shit would be deranged as hell i am DYING for that edge
This also explains why Asha's house in the final film seems to be in the middle of nowhere instead of in the city of Rosa. They kept the location concepts but scrapped them living in secret in the woods! It's truly disheartening to see how this concept is far more appealing and captivating than the final film.
The ONE thing that Maginifico lacked was true Disney Villany. In the movie he's a king of an Island for Refugee who he "lets live here for free and dont even charge you rent." The people only give him one wish.He grants only safe wishes but still grants one a month. Most of his problems stem just from being a limited human. He says that some wishes are dangerous because he can't control all the outcomes of the wishes. He also seems to make all his villainous decisions out of fear or a desire to catch the Star. Storyboard Magnifico seems to be an imperialist king who uses wishes as a sort of control tactic. He wishes to take over a hamlet because they dared to make wishes that he could not horde. He tries to grab a star out of the sky. He also is Ableist. The detroyed wishes have an obvious effect on a person's mental state. Storyboard Magnifico is a Villan. Movie Magnifico is a Wizard that needed a stern talking to.😅
7:21 So there was, or rather would have been, a reason for him to want the star in the first place. It wasn't just a random last minute addition like, "The Star! I must have it!" yadda yadda yadda now I'm evil. I don't understand, you say you want to go back to the straight villains of the past but then you're afraid of making him truly evil, creating a convoluted plot to make him go against the protagonist. It seems that you have given us the sop to make us happy, demonstrating that you are no longer capable of writing truly bad guys. Now I see that in the beginning there were good ideas, he was just evil and he planned his conquest, like other Disney villains. and this is what we asked for, nothing more, there was no need for a book and similar nonsense, just pure honest evil from the beginning, it would then be the characterization that would determine whether he would be one of the greats or not... and judging from these scenes he could have been. Damn! even the horned king is better at this point, he had nothing to hide, just a powerful evil king who wanted... more power! and was plotting in the shadows. you even bothered to give him a quick and very forced backstory which you then left hanging and which doesn't explain his motivations at all… then he becomes a Hanna-Barbera villain. They haven't even been able to take a definitive direction with him! this half-baked being in the end ironically turns out to be more of a hero than the main character could ever hope to be and it's not me who says it, but the dozens of videos that have been circulating online for months… and they all have a good point! And here I take a phrase from the critic Roger Ebert: “Each film is only as good as its villain. Since the heroes and the gimmicks tend to repeat from film to film, only a great villain can transform a good try into a triumph.” SPOILER: this wasn’t the case.
This concept is way more better and is worth it as celecrating the 100th year of Disney. Imagine a unique idea of a disney princess falling in love with a star? And we have our very first antagonist COUPLE!? That would be DOPE!
Oh wow, it could be something worth wishing to see. The tree scene and the basement scene are quite touching, feels like everyone has a soul and personality and actual relationship with each other.
As an animator having the star boy be like that would had been much more of an animation celebrarion than having a bouncing ball. Disney films are not like this anymore, I like things like Moana, but even then, story wise is not like this, some of this feels like a classic from the nineties, I don't know why the Disney animation films have become so simplistic in the way the write and show stories. Before I felt like I was living the movies as I watch, now I feel like an observer watching an event happen, it's hard to explain but most of these segments returned me to that intensity from before.
I swear after having seen frozen 2's deleted content, tinker Bell's deleted content, and wishes deleted content, Disney makes an entire movie before scrapping it and making an entire different movie 😅
I was so much more intrigued by the story, and interested in the characters struggle in this version. Which makes me really sad that they went in a different direction
I knew a lot had been cut from the movie but watching this really shows how much of the personality was cut too. Not just the characters but the world as a whole. The chemistry between the fully evil king and queen, Asha having motivation other than vaugely something more, and the friends actually being useful to the plot all of thar was great! We could've had it all.
0:49 i loved that It implies that all wishes getting granted is the evil slogan,While in the final movie ALL wishes not getting granted is the evil slogan.lets be honest If everyones wishes came true even for a small population It would still most likely be a catastrophe
We were absolutely robbed with the Wish we got versus what could have been. The villains were instantly more lovable in this than Magnifico was in the movie, and Saba had more depth and meaning to Asha.
There are 2 concepts i am aware of.... *1st concept:* -King Megnifico and Queen Amaya are Tyrants -Asha is probably unrelated to them, -She meets with Robin hood like rebels called the Hamlets fighting against the Monarch's tyrany -Star is a Starboy *2nd concept*: -King and Queen are Asha's parents -Star is a Starboy
Aasha: "When you're underestimated, they don't see your power coming until AFTER you've changed the world." Me: BARS!!! What a line!!!! Why didn't they keep this????
Magnifico speaking in Latin would’ve made ABSOLUTE sense considering that this movie takes place in around the 1100 or 1200s. They should’ve kept that. Like the Hunchback of Notre Dame music
This chould have been the best movie Disney have ever made. I liked the film as it was but this is on another level, this is insanely good. The evil couple?! AMAZING
what the hell. How am i enjoying this several hundrte4d times more than the actual film, this is simply awesome and good interms of world building , character behavior, script , literallly bloody everything.
My God, why didn't they take it that way? The concepts itself are much more fun and entertaining and these are just excerpts! The finished movie was kind of ok, but these concepts are miles better. At least that's what I think.

The stakes felt higher, the pace feels more intense, the story was darker, everything was much more authentic. A shame this didn’t make it to the silver screen
let's get the execs off the production's ass
its kinda weird how much was lost in the final product. literally everything that you see in the movie is a clutter of story aspects mixed into each other without any cohesiveness.
I think that might be more of someone who knows/knew her grandfather, since she refers to him by his first name.
Not to mention he was so *sassy*
So we lost amaya calling magnifico POOKIE? WHY AM I SO ATTACHED TO A FEW DELETED SCENES?? THEIR SO WHOLESOME
no because same AAAAAAAAAAA I can't w their little dancing scene jkandakjsndkasndsla
Apparently there is a fan project gaining traction called,"Alicia and the Kingdom of Light."
@@meiu7652 Thank you! If you know any other fan animations PLEASE list them!! I love watching them all
They definitely should've kept THIS instead!!! Magnifico and Maya are much more threatening here! And I'd prefer if Star did speak and shape-shift rather than *squeak*
What is this? Is that actual INTEREST i'm feeling?!
I just watched a better movie in 13 minutes on youtube than the one i saw on disney +
lets bully Disney like we bullied sonic
Let make hashtag remake wish in 2d
Heck yes. As a Sonic fan I second that notion.
yoo did everyone forget about sonic???
YES PLSSSS
That's a great idea, imagine them remaking Wish like it was supposed to be
I like how in the original Asha still is immature and quirky BUT is actually relatable and more cautious!
10:03 THIS SCENE IS SO CUTE THE WAY THE TOUCH FOREHEAD ADSFKADSFKADSFK-
I'ma pretend this is the actual movie.
Dishonor on Disney for taking out these great ideas and darker themes! They should redo the movie!
They already spent 200M on the movie, they aren't re-doing it 😭
So people need to stop complaining and hating on it. It is what it is now and there’s nothing we can do about it. Complaining about this movie and giving it unnecessary hate won’t make anything better. Disney is not going to be remaking this movie at all.
@@MarxrileyAoki i refuse to believe that disney spent 200M on such a dumpster fire of a movie.
"Dishonor on you, dishonor on your cow..."
Damn. At least there’s several rewrites and a huge project called Alicia and the kingdom of starlight by pinkiemachine studios.
Yesss!!!! PinkieMachine Studios>>>>>>
Yes I'm super excited! She's crushing it!
"No one should have to live and die without trying to make their wish come true" god that wouldve been so powerful esp for the youth today. They couldve seen how people in power WILL allow you to work till you die, and they truly dont care about you at all unless you have money or a wish that benefits those in power.
THIS!
i really love all these concepts. Though, i was quite surprised with the "adult" jokes. They dont feel like disney but at the same time it does.
Go watch some older Disney movies! there are all sorts of subtle jokes for adults that go completely over kids heads. One in particular is Toy Story. This feels VERY much like Disney again. entertainment for all ages!
Thats it though, it wasn't that subtle
@@mb-sb5ever no there are several jokes in Disney movies that kids wouldn’t get. I’m not only counting sexual jokes :/ lines that someone older would catch and get a laugh out of. Plenty of Disney movies have them. Aristocats, Aladdin, Zootopia, Cars, Finding Nemo, to name a few.
@@paigiee I know that about the old movies I'm saying the adult jokes in the og wish were less subtle than the older ones
@@mb-sb5ever ohhh ya gotcha, sorry I misunderstood! Ya it was pretty subtle
7:34 DID SHE JUST CALL HIM POOKIE OMG
LMAO IK RIGHT THAT WAS SO FUNNY CAUSE I DID NOT EXPECT THAT AT ALL 😂😂
@@littlerayhayrikugaming5006SAME
THE LAST PLACE I WAS EXPECTING TO HEAR THE WORD “POOKIE” WAS IN A FULLY FLEDGED DISNEY MOVIE😭😭😭☠️☠️☠️
I WAS LITERALLY THINKING “DID SHE JUST CALL HIM POOKIE OMFG”
Mi rei!
Mi rei!
4:08 Sabino says you need to stop accusing me of stealing
10:25 I love hearing Asha's softer and more reserved voice in this scene. Given that's how she was conceptualized (and with energetic Starboy as her foil) and the grave context of the scene, it feels really genuine and so refreshing from the modern, bubbly Disney princesses. I think Elsa is the only modern Disney 'princess' who's felt similarly quiet.
if only mafico and his wife were both villans i would love it if it happened
Imagine this, Amaya is the warrior queen, who control the militar forces of the kingdom and Magnífico is the Magic king. Look! Its the perfect couple
Asha: Um, you know what might help that plan? If you weren’t so bright?
Star: Ohh, thank you. Oh-wait-you meant-
7:33 when the king(I forgot his name) was trying to eat the wishes, it kinda got me cracking!😂😂😂

There's a fansong called "Our Message To The People" which is exactly that. I highly recommend it!
👏 Now that looks like a movie worth the title of 100 year anniversary movie and worth watching!

I was hoping to see starboy story boards😔 guess they scrapped it before they even got to the story boards
@@beautifulclouds8888Wasn't the first clip with starboy? He was a horse for most of it.
@@MsLilly200 ohh right,
Though I more meant him in his humanoid form
This actually looks like a movie worth watching. It has some really beautiful nostalgic moments, a plot that actually makes sense and way better dynamics, characters and dialogue than we got int the final movie. I WISH they made this into a movie instead.
''P0oOkiE,'' at 7:33 got me crackling out- THIS SHOULD'VE BEEN THE ACTUALL MOVIEEE :(
What were they thinking when they dumped this concept?
Marketable plushie

12:07 "When you're underestimated, they don't see your power coming until after it's changed the world"
My new quote
The first scene is so funny! i love the Starboys voice and how Asha is more of a badass.
this version here feels so authentic to disney/pixar (but especially disney!), i was reminded of the lion king, aladdin, hercules, tangled, hunchback, the incredibles….just wow! so disappointing that this amazing movie never got to be made as intended :(
Wow it’s almost like the original concept had personality and soul behind it!
Amara :And thats one is my mothers
Magnifico :Well in that case
We was robbed
They are not here to make the main character smarter than everyone .
....Can we sue disney of robbery?!
First of all No second of all, they didn’t rob us they change story to not only show what divorce actually feels like but also go all out for Easter eggs to make this a little more sense for the studios 100 anniversary in this movie
@@eriksimons4043 dang it-
Yes
it really gave me the vibes of old Disney like actually meaningful art and storytelling that feels vulnerable and real and they just sanitized it so much.
Asha reminds me so much of Katara with her personality here!
You do know Katara was a box of explosives, right? She didn't calm down until far into the series.
This also explains why Asha's house in the final film seems to be in the middle of nowhere instead of in the city of Rosa.
They kept the location concepts but scrapped them living in secret in the woods!
It's truly disheartening to see how this concept is far more appealing and captivating than the final film.
If I ever get news of Disney artists/creators unionizing, I approve.
Since the heroes and the gimmicks tend to repeat from film to film, only a great villain can transform a good try into a triumph.”
SPOILER: this wasn’t the case.
I say we were robbed of a wonderful magical movie.
Honestly this looks amazing, It could've been a masterpiece
This concept is way more better and is worth it as celecrating the 100th year of Disney. Imagine a unique idea of a disney princess falling in love with a star? And we have our very first antagonist COUPLE!? That would be DOPE!
Why I'm in tears we were robbed .it was goofy old disney-like asha has personality and not just quirky. The best thing the goat don't talk
Yay finally there’s a video with everything on it
Yea, I wanted to put it all together instead of make people search around.
The whole movie is giving "I COULD HAVE BEEN TURBO?????"
Ah, Ducktales 2017.
"I COULD HAVE BEEN GOOD???????!!!!!!"

12:02 that’s so wholesome 🥹
Getting an ad for this movie on this video is a level of comedy I wasn't ready for. I should've been, but I wasn't.
Oh wow, it could be something worth wishing to see. The tree scene and the basement scene are quite touching, feels like everyone has a soul and personality and actual relationship with each other.
This looks more amazing than the one they choose. Everyone has real emotions.
More plot and character development in these 13 minutes than in the entire movie.
2:36 star turns into olaf for a sec thats awsome
I would've loved to see that in the movie😢 We were soooooo robbed
the olaf 😭😭
As an animator having the star boy be like that would had been much more of an animation celebrarion than having a bouncing ball. Disney films are not like this anymore, I like things like Moana, but even then, story wise is not like this, some of this feels like a classic from the nineties, I don't know why the Disney animation films have become so simplistic in the way the write and show stories. Before I felt like I was living the movies as I watch, now I feel like an observer watching an event happen, it's hard to explain but most of these segments returned me to that intensity from before.
This actually made me laugh and made me disappointed that we didn't have this version of the movie
I swear after having seen frozen 2's deleted content, tinker Bell's deleted content, and wishes deleted content, Disney makes an entire movie before scrapping it and making an entire different movie 😅
That tinker bell one, ring of belief was maaad shocking
In the original concept, the goat does not talk, and that's good as well
The goat talks later
I was so much more intrigued by the story, and interested in the characters struggle in this version. Which makes me really sad that they went in a different direction
it feels like every time a movie is bad the deleted scenes are always so much better than the movie we got
I hate corporate manipulation
So THIS is what we could have got with Magnifico and Amaya being the evil couple? This adorable evil duo?? WE. WERE. SO. ROBBED.
Right? Their chemistry is so good here!
Her reluctance to be “the chosen one” makes her a more relatable character and gives her a much better arc. I prefer the old concept and writing 😢
0:49 i loved that It implies that all wishes getting granted is the evil slogan,While in the final movie ALL wishes not getting granted is the evil slogan.lets be honest If everyones wishes came true even for a small population It would still most likely be a catastrophe
We were robbed of an evil couple... DAMN I loved that scene aloneeeeee
I AM RAGING WHILE WATCHING THIS. THIS WAS THROWN IN THE BIN???!!!
"Darling, sweetheart, baby, pookie- Please do not devour those wishes😟".
"Just 3 small wishes who would notice"😑
I want this😭😭☹
What’s that? Emotion that I haven’t felt with most of disneys releases over a 13 min storyboard concept? HUH????
We were absolutely robbed with the Wish we got versus what could have been. The villains were instantly more lovable in this than Magnifico was in the movie, and Saba had more depth and meaning to Asha.
I know right? They're also actually VILLAINS with this lovely splash of even evil has standards.
"You can't eat that one, that's my mother's" rofl
Dude this was so much more entertaining, and I love the Olaf reference 😭😤 and star is so funny cause he’s trying to be “normal “ 😂
There are 2 concepts i am aware of....
*1st concept:*
-King Megnifico and Queen Amaya are Tyrants
-Asha is probably unrelated to them,
-She meets with Robin hood like rebels called the Hamlets fighting against the Monarch's tyrany
-Star is a Starboy
*2nd concept*:
-King and Queen are Asha's parents
-Star is a Starboy
Aasha: "When you're underestimated, they don't see your power coming until AFTER you've changed the world."
Me: BARS!!! What a line!!!! Why didn't they keep this????
These would’ve been great if they were in the actual movie
You know what I think Disney should make a cut version of this film to make it better
Magnifico speaking in Latin would’ve made ABSOLUTE sense considering that this movie takes place in around the 1100 or 1200s. They should’ve kept that. Like the Hunchback of Notre Dame music
Man, Magnifico and Amaya had such a great dynamic. I'm so mad we didn't get to see ANY of that in the finished movie.
This chould have been the best movie Disney have ever made. I liked the film as it was but this is on another level, this is insanely good. The evil couple?! AMAZING
Magnifico and Amaya as the latest Disney Villains and evil power couple. They robbed us of great dynamic in the story of WISH.
3:04 IS THAT GOOFYS FALL NOISE??? Man I’m so mad this version got scrapped
what the hell. How am i enjoying this several hundrte4d times more than the actual film, this is simply awesome and good interms of world building , character behavior, script , literallly bloody everything.
The evil couple duo would have been an interesting concept.
I’ve seen many videos of people rewriting wish to make it better and I love their ideas.
the evil couple was so cute
Amaya calling Magnifico pookie isnt something I thought I needed until today XDD
For some reason this was so enchanting and engaging
My God, why didn't they take it that way? The concepts itself are much more fun and entertaining and these are just excerpts!
The finished movie was kind of ok, but these concepts are miles better. At least that's what I think.
