As a nerd that has studied mice and aiming for years, my theory is that the MZ1 makes the sensor align perfectly for you, where your old mouse didn't. You talking about the micro corrections being better now makes me think that that is indeed it. If your sensor isn't aligned perfectly, then things will always feel "slightly off". When I tried the MZ1 I noticed that the sensor would align perfectly when you put your fingers on the spots without holes, where ZY "intended" so to speak. I have not tried the Finalmouse but looking at it, it seems like the sensor is too low on it, which could be good if you're a heavy arm aimer, which you aren't because you play on a high sens with a fast pad. I know I wrote a comment on a similar video a while back about what a good sensor position is but it might have been lost in translation, since I'm a bit too nerdy and people don't tend to listen to people who sound crazy :D I get it. But if you would like me to try to explain it again I could.
I think an additional element is, for me, much less tension is needed to control the mouse, and additionally, I can microadjust a lot better with the lower profile/divots in the buttons--combined with the glass pad it feels great. I'll try to investigate the sensor point, too, I hadn't considered that part actually. If that's also a plus in the way you describe, then there's even more reason for me to favour this choice which is awesome. One extra thing I did notice that didn't make it into the video, is that due to the lower profile and finger placement, my hand is more horizontal as opposed to slightly tilted to the right, which I think also contributes to the extra feeling of consistency for me in movements.
Okay I just had a look and the sensor alignment is indeed better for me on the mz1. I can get it to be similar with a fingertip grip on the sl12, but, I run into the issue, that I described in the video, that makes it hard for me to use pure fingertip on the sl12, so invariably when I've been using it my grip has been less aligned with the sensor.
Great video, a lot questions answered without having to buy a mouse yet lol. I just started taking aim training seriously and the next thing to look at was a mouse that would better suit my natural grip. Thanks for the info!
Nice. Im constantly changing my aiming peripherals. Whats comfortable to me is super low sens, and currently im trying to get comfortable on more median senses.
Had a similar progression to fingertip style 2 years ago. Tried the PMM Cyber 8k some month ago and dont want to use anything else now. I can really suggest to give that box shape a try it gives me so much stability.
In my case, there's a problem I have, which its that I've used fingertip grip before and I use hybrid grip now, I did unconsciously but like I don't know which one feels comfy enough to call it my ''natural'' grip. Because my pinky finger feels really off when I use those grips so, I really don't know. its confusing!
Mchose L7 Pro looks like banger (omrons optical, 40g, great sensor, grippy surface, no wobble) as fullsize fingertip mouse (the only thing is u have to change stock skates). Its identical to x2v2 mini, but with better clicks and cheaper. Flat sides, narrow, some waist. op1w4k is solid as well, but not lightweight.
Try the htx mini 8k or htr idk how people grip any mouse with pinky and ring finger on the side of mouse, my ring finger has to be on the button 2 and middle finger along scroll wheel, cramp up and feels very unnatural, feels like trying to do the Vulcan salute
I've never tried the 1-3-1 you're describing for more than 20 minutes at a time. I'm too conditioned for 1-2-2 at this point. Might experiment with it more in the future though as it feels like it makes sense lol.
can you tell me, how is possible to play cs with fingertip grip, if for example you are average player who jumps with the scroll wheel and use mouse5 and mouse4 buttons, also is there any pros that break this (handicaps for me)
this same thing hapend to me end last year and what should i say i play atleast 2 as good as before using the hsk pro now and its my endgame for sure befor i used the m4 its also great my hand size is 18,5x8,5cm
1.5 years ago I was using it a lot, yeah. I ended up switching back to the starlight-12 small after a couple of months. The Maya did actually survive much longer than most other mouse switches, lol. It is a great mouse; but now I understand it's not optimal for me due to the reasons in the video!
Dan, for a very long time i used to play on 800eDpi in cs. But I realized that, probably when my aim was best was when i was playing at my early cs with around 1000 edpi, and now im trying to go back to around 900edpi. Do you think its worth trying out, or am i just taking placebo and just gonna F up my muscle memory? I also switched from zowie ec2 mouse to much smaller endgame op1
Yeah, essentially. The tricky part has been that I've forced the claw grip in a way that hurts my fingertip aiming; which naturally I still try to do despite it being more limited because of my hand placement. By committing entirely to the fingertip grip that solved the problem for me. I hope that answers the question!
The Finalmouse mice are completely flat across the bottom. Except the ridges made to hold the stock skates in place. Unlike alot of mice who have indents to hold the skates Finalmouse does the opposite, most likely to shave weight and production costs.
@@Synoyd No mouse is completely flat at the bottom, and no table is completely flat, even mousepads are not completely flat. So to put your skates towards the middle of the mouse increases the risk of getting a wobbly mouse. Another problem that I saw is that he didn't put his skates as far out on the edges as he could, this will decrease the stability of the mouse. You should think about your mouse skates as legs on a table. You want them as far out as possible in the extreme corners of the mouse for maximum stability. Putting table legs in the middle of the table will make the table unstable if your floor isn't completely leveled, which it rarely is. If your floor is uneven and you have legs in the middle, it could catch on those legs and make your mouse wobbly. Also putting skates towards the middle on a mouse does not make much sense, since the mouses bottom plate doesn't bend, like a long table would for example, where it would make sense to put an extra leg towards the middle, because the table is so long that it flexes, a mouses bottom plate does not do this. Where it could make sense tho is if you have a soft mousepad with dot skates, then the skates in the middle would keep the mouse from sinking in too low into the pad making it feeling "scratchy". Because dot skates are just like table legs, very thin and would sink into a soft surface. What you should rather do in this case is put another dot skate besides your current dot skates, making the soft surface matter less, instead of risking a wobbly and unstable mouse caused by skates put in the middle of the bottom plate.

Have you guys tried anything from PWNAGE? The sensors on their mice are adjustable. I've been really curious about them.
Optimum Tech new fingertip mouse that’s partnered with Finalmouse looks promising. Comes out in March
Yeah I saw that. I'd love to try it out!
I'd love more content on your personal aim improvement Dan! In the Voltaic benchmarks or other stuff.

next step: pure fingertip mouse 👍 it’s magical
Can't wait to try in the future!
I wish there were more offerings than G-Wolves and Darmoshark in this category...
That mouse makes me feel like I'm about to be pulled over by an RGB police car.
the dots feet placement under that starlight is awful.

Xtrfy needs to refresh this mouse. I hope they don't phase it out.
Agree, it's great.
wow ngl i changed the way i gripped my mouse while watching this video thx u sooooo much
Oh nice!

Bro fixed his aim by getting more RGB
Perhaps you could give Keychron M4 a shot
Been using mz1 for awhile but after I tried this one - there's no coming back for me
Interesting. I'll give it a look!
It's also very cheap, for its features and shape.

still have my mz1 wired. gonna sensor swap it soon
I've been maining the G wolves HSK Pro for a long time, my fav mouse by far for ftip tbh
You could try some so spacers on your starlite but I do agree and find that nothing beats the deep finger grooves on the mz1
I have the same fingertip grip as you - very far back. If you can, try the Pulsar X2V2 Mini. You will love it.

I like the chill voice over for this vid.
What about the optimum fingertip mouse ? Looks even more optimal
I have the exact same grip and tried many minces, sadly i dont know what i did with my mz1 but i remember i didnt play good with it
Are you using a glasspad for cs2?
I tried to get into aim trainers a while back but couldnt get into it, which one is your favorite?
Great video btw
Yeah I am.
I prefer Kovaaks overall. Thank you for watching!
@@ddkesports can you point me in the right direction (as in what to do in kovaaks) 😇
Full send the fingertip grip, try the hsk pro from g-wolves
May I ask about your hand size? I might wanna try this mouse out as well
do you also use 20 cm in tac fps?
Yes! Feels great now.
0:28 posture check
Fax. We gotta fix that. Been pretty lazy the last year or so on this one.
HTR pro By Gwolves is great. A cheaper option Darmoshark M5 in Black because of the grip. Also Grip tape .Particularly the ultra thin by the whale.
Surely being a fingertipper you must invest in optimum techs 19g superlight mouse and give it a whirl!
ua-cam.com/video/UNSLekT0AIo/v-deo.html&ab_channel=optimum
MM720 CM might be even better for pure fingertip. ;)
Quake Champions! Yay! So u finally checked it?
I would love to see some dm vods on cs!
Try the htx mini 8k or htr

In CS I use two binds for jump: mwheeldown and spacebar. I've never had an issue with this combo impeding my movement or fighting.

muscle memory is a myth, if u wanna up your sens just do it, aim is just hand eye coordination anyway
Beast X Mini is what's next for you.
g-wolves hsk 4k pro
Doesn't that mean you are a finger tip user but you been playing as a claw user ?

1:03 the dots' placement💀, your skates' height will become misaligned if you place it outside of the designated skate spot, no?
