Those soldiers need to be reprimanded. They have a new rule, it is very clear, stay outside the box, no touching the horses. The soldiers need to enforce it.
9-10 folk broke the rules...whoops folk enjoyed touching the horse in the box with the guards approval. What rules said the guard? What rules said the tourists? Who knew that horseguards had a New Farce playing for free.
These two guards just undid what the thousands of us in voicing our concerns and writing to Household Cavalry, MOD and London District to protect the horses and them. It took them minutes to just slap us all in the face for trying to help them and keep them safe. The new rules, no touch, painted boxes.. the horse guards listened to us and implemented these rules. It is not up to the guards discretion to say if the horse can be touched, crowded, mauled. For those you say they do I call BS. Painted lines are in the courtyard and when the horses are out tourist are to stay behind the lines, same goes for out here. Who is running this show? the tourists?? cause this behavior by the guards is making it a show and sets all of what horse guards and the people have voiced to protect the horses back to square one. Other guards didn't have to yell to get the message across, out of the box...If ALL guards are not going to follow the new rules and regs then they should not be on the horse out front and go to another job, nothing will change. I am appalled, saddened, dishearten, Peed off at this display. It's shameful, disgusting and disrespectful to all of us who have made our voices heard, which they were . If this practice continues once again I will be writing to household Calvary with pictures this time . Fed UP!!

That woman at 0:21 was up there for almost a minute, not only breaking the "Don't Touch The Horse" rule, but also treating that poor animal like her own personal pet , monopolizing the horse and kissing it and the guard did nothing to stop her!! plus, she goes up there a 2nd time doing the exact same thing!! not only that. but he also let her inside the white line!! He was also letting other people break the rules!! WTH!!

The soldiers need to be vocal. Otherwise they will treat them as if they were nothing but a petting zoo. Keep the horse away from them and tell them real loud, KEEP OUT,, DO NOT TOUCH THE HORSE OR REINS.
My original post had to be deleted probably due to my "insensitive comment" about the guard so let's try this again. He is not obeying orders, is completely disregarding them, and should be taken off this duty (and disciplined). I think that Buska should send this (and another video of this same guard doing the same thing) to one of the major news networks in London. Although I completely agree with the post from the woman who had contacted the proper resources, they will undoubtedly ignore her requests. Going to the media is the best option.

And the lady in the trench coat is breaking every rule….she’s inside the lines, touching (manhandling) & kissing the horse, AND she was holding the reins…with both hands at one point!! Plus, she was holding the horses head down both times! You could see her straining as the horse was trying to move its head around! 🤬 And this guard is just sitting there allowing it all to happen!! 🙄😒

If the guard says it's okay, then okay. That is his decision. I know the woman in the beginning was a bit much(holding the reins which is a big no and that I agree the guard should have told her to stop). Something we wont stop is if the horse wants to say hello to the tourists. Some horses want attention at times...

If the guard approves of tourists touching the horse then it is their decision, but nonetheless for that time period the person on the horse is the person in charge of that horse for that time. If that guard is not in charge of the horse then who is for that hour? Who is sitting with the horse?
