Making a Staff from PVC pipe for Gandalf Cosplay

What did you use to seal the paper clay?

Juan Jamerlan we used several coats of Mod Podge to seal the clay. Then it was painted, weatheted and sealed with clear spray paint.

zohbugg you are correct. We sealed it with the mod podge then coated the whole staff, top to bottom, with Smooth-On Epsilon :)

How do change batteries?

The end that lights up unscrews, allowing access to the batteries that are in the upper part of the staff section.

AgentXoop We could, but it would be much less expensive to buy the replica that is sold on Amazon goo.gl/ZoIFGA The replica doesn't light up, although there was one being sold somewhere else (no idea where) that DID light up, but it was twice the cost.

James DeRuvo There is no audio there. The video is sped up and would otherwise be loud and whiny from the heat gun ;)
