A beautiful English girl and yet, for me, the ultimate French 60s icon. Au revoir Jane Birkin.
Absolutely agree…👏🙏😔
to me, Jane was born in the wrong country. She’s English, but her first language is French than English and she’s more praised in France than in the UK.
It's the first time that I hear her speaking in english Her voice is even more beautiful in her mother langage
I969, we discovered her on french TV and we felt in love with her unique grace, beauty and kindness She was also truly funny. A fairy in my opinion. Look at her !
She sounds like such a genuine person, very honest, vulnerable and open. RIP, Jane B.
I always loved European women in the 60s. They are so beautiful . I wished to be like them . Rest in peace to this icon . ❤
What a soothing voice omg
She is so beautiful 😍
So nostalgic, She so beautiful, a francophile and so young, farewell English Rose.
Pretty lady, very well spoken... Rip 🇬🇧
She was so lovely! R.I.P. 🥀
Oh que oui , une beauté ⚘️rip jane 😢
Always loved her - Goodbye sweet girl
Jane Birkin makes me wanna time travel to the 60's and 70's she was perfect and lovely in all meaning of the word. So cool, so chic so Parisian but English.
the light and spark in her eyes, how he talks about what she loves, her soul is comming from inside out
I hope they’re together again. A great love
Really sad to heard she died she was a pure 1960s icon.
Great in her Agatha Christie films.
I remember hearing je t'aime in school for the first time in the 70s, it was like listening to exotic contraband ❤❤
Extraordinary human being.
In heaven they are walking the streets of Paris in heaven. With her daughter Kate again.
Really she so beautiful,I bet she was dream girl in that time
Rest in peace Jane Birkin
rip jane. she had such beauty and grace.
Live in peace my beautiful angel
Love her. Was sad when I read she passed.
Beautiful Inside and Out
When there was no plastic surgery, Botox, we had Jane and Brigette Bardot. Incredible beauty! ❤️

Definitely ❤
Sleep tight, Jane. thank you for the happiness of my life.
R I P Jane❤ an absolute true beauty an icon!! You will be loved and remembered by millions as you were loved by millions while you were with us as you will be with us always ❤️❤️❤️
She was really spectacular😍but He disgusted me because he was crude and vulgar.
Our favorite english woman in France love her so cute
Comment on Serge’s face was extremely brutal
Linda, meiga, talentosa, diva ...
Not a diva !! A genuine woman
It’s quite frightening at just how heavy a smoker he was. A total chain smoker literally stubbing one out and lighting the next. I was read he averaged 120 unfiltered Gitanes cigarettes every day! A miracle he didn’t succumb to lung cancer or have his heart attack sooner than he did.
Jane Birkin was a real English rose. She had the most beautiful voice and accent when she spoke her native English as well as when she spoke French with her charming heavy accent.
FOREVER SWEET JANE ❤
Forever young
sweet jane rip
rest in peace my angel 😔💔
Jane forever
It is a mystery Gainsbourg did not die of lung cancer. Gosh, what incredible genes he had.
What a couple, I adored them.
His next partner, Bambou was very nice too.
R.I.P. Darling 💔
You'll be missed lady
Jacques Brel,
Ces gens la.
Mon Dieu.
Merci.
Au nom de bleu.
Bravo.

R.I.P
To see Serge and Jane together is to believe everything I've ever read in Playboy😁
she was the best.
I find her hilarious, charming, interesting, with a huge interest and lust for life
What a cutie
Gitanes had a production line special for Serge Gainsbourg
Une meraveille ❤❤❤
Rest In Peace
Pretty Jane, a princesse like you.
Natural beatiful girl ☺️❤ the really young Barbie teeneger model
The music Serge plays on the piano is a melody of an old Soviet war-time song "В лесу прифронтовом" /"In the woods next to the front", ua-cam.com/video/D4ic7KEKG8Y/v-deo.html .
🖤
😍
Beautiful 60 - 70's girl....too inoccent
Troppo bella ...
Jane bought this nice wicker basket in Algarve(Portugal)
Keep Les clefs du paradis!
That inspired the Birkin Bags.
Melody Nelson
JANE BIRKIN "the dream in the drawer" and in the THOUGHTS of all the boys of that time: her very sweet and sensual voice given to us when in 1969 she imprinted on vinyl the few phrases of the song JE T'AIME ... she made the world fall in love whole and not just the male one. She had CHARM and possessed a NIGHTMARE BEAUTY!!! She was also a successful woman in the arts for a good decade. I sincerely hope to be able to meet her BEAUTIFUL and HAPPY again in her new home and sing with JANE and endlessly a hymn that will vehemently make all the souls of heaven gasp: “JE T’AIME”…!!! 💔❤
Which origin do you think ?
Rip
Jane appeared to be a kind compassionate down to earth person. However, her English speaking accent was upperclass having been educated at top English boarding schools. It seemed at odds with the bohemian character She portrayed. Todays standards quite ordinary except she was a tall lithe beauty in her 20s.
I met Jane in Melbourne after her Arabesque concert.
'Serge would be very proud of you'.
Said I.
She was moved by that.
I gave her Paris, a French poem I had written.
The last line of which says,
'Paris je t'aime.'
Then came the movie.
They were a pair.
Although his greatest love was Brigitte Bardot.
His greatest love was Jane Birkin.
Serge had a hot love affair with Brigitte, but it lasted a little time.
Serge and Jane lived together for more than 10 years.
Serge draw Jane's face on his last album, a few months before his death. Amour des Feints is his last album and it was dedicated to Jane Birkin.
@@anatriso5014
No she wasn't, she was on the rebound from Brigitte Bardot. I Love You Not More composed in one night of love making with Brigitte.
@@gregcugola779 Making sex doesn't mean love. He was sexually attracted by Brigitte the same way he was by Jane. But besides feeling sexually attracted by Jane, he loved her.
During his whole life the best songs of Serge were sung by Jane, she was his muse. And all of these songs were about love or pain because of their split up.
Did anyone else catch the narrator calling him "Serge Gainsborough"?
WHAT THE HELL IS THE SONG AT 6:02?? IT SOUNDS SO GOOD.
How romantic...being in the constant SMOKE of your lover 😂😂😂 How will his mouth have smelled.? The man almost always had a cigaret in his hand. Like kissing an ashtray. Died much too young.
She was a smoker too. As was Brigitte Bardot, Bambou, and probably all other lovers he had. It was the 60s-70s-80s... in France...
@@LePhil79 Not everybody was smoking in those days........They were bad role models.
She smoked too. She quit bc of bronchitis
Elegant woman, women were women, so sophisticated
"English to the eyebrows" like wtf bro!
I keep noticing the same thing over and over again, British women were way more feminine in past decades. Femininity is not as sought after anymore
She was hot, he was hot, and there's an end!
Im coughing just looking at Gainsbourg smoking. To me this is such a toxic relationship. Very French to find it romantic.
What is toxic? You don't know anuthing about their relationship nor about the french. Cut the crap , please !
@@ilovemovies725 how about you kind your own crap?
I must agree about the cigarette. So glamorous indeed...not.
@@quinncreel6091 What would Gainsbourg be withoug his cigarettes ? That was an essential part of his image. These were the times...Don't be so puritan. When one starts to juge and forbid people doing what they want with their body and health , dictatorship lies not far. What you do with yourself is a question of self responsibility. He took responsibility for it and never complained.
@@ilovemovies725 My problem with smokers is that they are absolutely irresponsible and expose everyone else around them to their poison. I couldn't care less what people "do with their bodies", but their freedom ends where mine begins.
One of the few beautiful British women in the history of the Kingdom.
Few?? Excuse you
Show your face……..
Charmer 😂
And she left the Kingdom. 🤣
There are literally so many iconic british actresses, actors and models that are some of the most beautiful in the history of the world.
I only know her for being next notch on the sleepy turtles bed post.
Why people used to talk differently?
She had an adams apple.
because some women can have them.
All women and men do but for some its more obvious depends on genetics.
Lung cancer wouldn't dare kill Serge Gainsbourg.
Wouldn't have had the nerve.
Serge died from sensitivity.
A rare condition where you are too aware of the tragedy and futility of life.
He must of stunk of cigarettes what on earth did she see in him
She was a smoker too. As was Brigitte Bardot, his mistress before Jane. Or most of the artists in Europe during these days.
@@LePhil79 yer but every picture every video he has a cigarette in his mouth
Badly sewn together firehose…😂
Didnt understand anything from her talking. Is it just me?
She would be pregnant with Charlotte a few months after this.
Nice teeth
What did she ever smell in him?
Sadly she was just another naive fool who had no idea what she had put herself and her daughter into!
The Rothschilds 🙄
Yeah I realized that too… Sadly, no one gets famous without some sort of trade-off.
Serge must have had an impressive appendage.
Completely stupid. She was married to John Barry who was 10 times richer and more famous than Gainsbourg. With serge it was a real love story until his death, even after because she toured the planet to sing his songs. She made Gainsbourg an international icon.
@@Joe-os3vp and it wasn’t even Gainsbourg, it was Ginsburg. Pretentious.
@@Joe-os3vp absolutely nothing wrong with the name Lucien Ginsburg.
@@Joe-os3vp no, sorry, y comment was a general one, not towards you. I wish people in entertainment didn’t feel they had to be phony or a heightened version of themselves.
..beauty and the beast ;- ()
She was no beauty. But she was happy, skinny and confident enough.
