  • To grow on UA-cam in 2024 you have to consider the Browse and Suggested Videos algorithms. Because they are difficult to understand, I created a method makes it easy for you to adopt the thinking that you need to trigger these algorithms.
    The method has 3 steps:
    1. Collect the channels in your niche
    2. Regularly look at the most successful videos that they publish
    3. Over time you’ll understand which video topics work best and that are the topics you should make videos about yourself
    My Morningfame tool speeds up this process for you. Feel free to give it a try:

    Hi, I am Nico. 👋😃
    I am here to explain to you everything you need for growing your UA-cam channel.
    If my tutorials leave any of your questions unanswered, feel free to leave me a comment.
    Greatly inspired by interacting with you, my goal always is:
    - To develop new techniques that make UA-cam’s algorithms happy and
    - To support the most powerful techniques with a great tool.
    Indeed, you heard right. I am the creator of a UA-cam SEO and analytics tool called Morningfame. Working on it gives me a truly unique perspective and I bet this shows in the advice I give. For example, I really enjoy the ability to do large data studies.
    If you are curious about the tool, here is an invite for you:

    Great stuff. However, iam just a youtube search guy. It's what works best for me and it's so much more stable. Iam trying to grow a browse based channel going on a trend during this month, but only because i will be able to monitize faster and then convert it into another search based channel. But either way it's cool i guess, depending on your stile and niche!

    • @Morningfame
      @Morningfame  Місяць тому

      Indeed, great thinking pal!
      Although the method in my videos is of course great for getting video ideas in general, it is indeed more catered towards a Browse & Suggested Videos based growth strategy. I put this method together to form a basis for everyone to later on learn more advanced techniques for triggering Browse & Suggested.
      That said, Search vs. Browse & Suggested work very different. While it is important for Browse & Suggested to do similar videos like the other channels in your niche, for Search it is important to rather cover topics that the other channels missed and thus you can easily rank for.
      That said, both approaches have in common that the videos need to cover a topic that viewers are interested in. For Browse & Suggested we can find these topics like I explain in this video and for Search we find these topics by doing keyword research.
      Since I am always wondering how to combine both approaches - not easy considering their fundamental differences - I would be curious to hear more about your new channel‘s approach! Could you list you planned steps that first focus on Browse & Suggested and later move over to Search? Very interesting approach!

      @@Morningfame Yes of course. So the channel that iam currently working is a how to channel. Last year around this same time, i started making videos on a specific football club on which the trend was going really high. In 3 weeks i got the 1000 subs and managed to get monetized. Iam trying to do the same right now as i hope it can produce the same effect.
      Now, on my search base channel, i really don't have a niche there. All i do is i try to make tutorials that will rank in search. I do keyword research to find good video topics, but i also do new trending apps and videogames. There is new stuff coming almost daily, so you will always have content.
      I can send you some e-mail with better details if you like, iam only using vidiq, but iam considering giving a try with your tool for the keyword research process.

      I really appreciate the details! It’s valuable for me to know that you look at it from a trends angle. If you have the time then I would be interested to know how you currently research trends. Maybe I can come up with some tool support for it!
      Yes, feel free to give Morningfame’s keyword research tool a try: morningfa.me/keyword-tool/invite/sunnyday The keyword tool is actually the strongest part of Morningfame even though I talk more about Browse & Suggested in my recent videos. Cheers pal!

      @@Morningfame I do research on new tools and videogames that are about to come out and when they do, i turn already writen guides into videos, or i make new ones. Iam trying to find a better way to get into trends for my videos, because right now i just follow the hype surrounding those topics. That could be something you could do, finding hype surrounding various topics, but i have no ideia on how to make a tool on that... Maybe a tool using the twitter trends page? that could maybe work. I know there is a page that records that. I will try to find it and reply here later on.

    • @Morningfame
      @Morningfame  Місяць тому +1

      Thanks a lot for that pal! No need for sending me the Twitter trends tool link. I understand your approach. It’s what I usually recommend as well. You basically find sources where upcoming things pop up first. The drawback from my tool builder’s perspective is that these sources are unique to your specific niche. So I couldn’t build a generic tool that serves all niches. But in any way, thanks for bringing this up! I will put more thought into it. Maybe I can come up with something. After all the new Niche Spy tool actually has some approaches to monitor both current as well as seasonal trends. However, it’s not super useful yet. But let’s see!

      Hi Nico, what about shorts? Does it apply to shorts as well?

    • @Morningfame
      @Morningfame  Місяць тому +1

      @@Keep_It_Super_Simple_K.I.S.S. Yes, absolutely! The principle is the same: Observe which topics work well and then do Shorts about these topics. If you think that regular videos and Shorts behave differently in your niche - that means that different topics work well for Shorts compared to topics that work well for regular videos - then go to the II. Topics tab of Morningfame’s Niche Spy. There you can look at the latest videos with the “🔥Burners” option checked. This is the same view that the weekly email has. However, the advantage of doing that in the tool is that you can filter by Shorts only. I hope this helps!

    Thanks, Nico! Question - In the Analytics report, under the Algorithm tab, within the suggested videos section, would it make sense to add an "Add to Niche" link under the Actions menu?

    • @Morningfame
      @Morningfame  Місяць тому +1

      Awesome that you bring this up Larry! Yes, it does. I actually planned to have such a feature from the beginning but I never found the time to code it. The channels showing up in your traffic data are prime candidates for setting up your niche in the tool. In the meantime, you may copy the channel link and use it with the „Add Other Channels“ button in the I. Niche tab of the Niche Spy.

    Thanks for this video Nico. One question: is it a good idea to also add channels in my niche but that they publish in another language, not the one I publish in?
    My perception is that this will allow me to see what other topics are hot in my niche that my competitors (in my language) are still not considering.
    Will this work for me?
    Thanks

    • @Morningfame
      @Morningfame  Місяць тому +2

      Great question Edward! I would create a new niche for these foreign language channels. So your “My Niche” niche only contains the channels that are in the same language as your own channel and then you have separate niches for each other language that you want to look into.
      The I. Topic tab of Morningfame’s Niche Spy allows you to create multiple niches and then you can analyze each of them in the II. Topics tab.
      The weekly email only looks at your “My Niche” niche of course. But you can do the same analysis at any time in the Niche Spy for your other, foreign language niches. For that go to the II. Topics tab, select one of the niches, select “Latest Videos” and check “Show 🔥 Burners Only”. Now you have a list of videos that is identical to what the weekly email does for you. And obviously you can check it regularly to get a feel of which video topics work well.
      And yes, it is a great idea to get ideas from the same niche in other languages! If something is hot in another language then there is a high chance that your audience will find it interesting, too. 😃👌

    • @Morningfame
      @Morningfame  Місяць тому +1

      I am sorry to hear that Adriana! I just had a look at your niche in the tool. Do I understand your situation correctly? I think you are focussing on vegan cooking channels and have collected a dozen of them in your niche. I think this is spot on and good like that. Are you also happy with the result so far? But I think the issue that you mention is that the Niche Spy showed you many other cooking channels that cook with meat and you had to ignore those channels. Is it right that you were wondering why so many meat cooking channels were suggested by the tool? If yes, then don’t worry. The tool isn’t perfectly capable of picking the right channels. That is why I build it in a way that it suggests channels and you decide whether to add them to your niche or ignore them. So far I think you used the tool exactly right and the overall result looks good to me. Or do you see it differently? Let me know and we can dig deeper. Thanks for bringing this up! :)
