ACE inhibitors like Ramipril are contraindicated in pregnancy because they cause fetal renal hypoperfusion which leads to oligohydramnios and fetal growth restriction and can lead to pulmonary hypoplasia and limb contraction defects in the fetus
Thanks mam

Glad it helped
ma'am...is preeclampsia and eclampsia a vascular disease...which is occurred due to inflammatory response so why we are not use steroid to suppress inflammatory chemicals..!!
That’s because there is a fetus on which prolonged steroid use will have deleterious effect .
Thanks a lot,ma'am
Good morning dear madam if any woman has pedal oedema in severe eclampsia condition so is it possible to give diuretics to reduce oedema? Madam, what should we do in this condition please tell us
As mentioned in the video, these women are already have decreased intravascular volume . Giving diuretics will further worsen it. Hence, give IV fluids as mentioned in the video. The oedema is due to loss of protein, anemia and fluid imbalance. This needs to be corrected by correct fluid therapy, protein rich diet and correction of anemia. As these corrections are done, oedema gradually corrects itself.
thankyou ma'am for updating us through these vedios..
but i have one query ☝ MSL guidelines mai eclampsia mgt mai start IV fluids RL/NS @60drops/min mentioned hain ..
Is any changes has been occurred in guidelines please let us know??
Yes Neelam. The latest guidelines including the medical college module mentions 75ml/hour. So we should follow that.
Ma'am please make videos for BABASIR

don't call your patient as client
Would like to update you on the latest terminology. In obstetrics we don’t get patients as pregnancy is not a disease but a physiological phenomenon unless complicated. Hence, they should now be addressed as clients as they come to us for services. Kindly search national and international literature for evidence on this terminology
Thank you mam 🙏🙏
Thank you mam ...
