It's nice to see some of your older work. :) before you found out how much your freeing of your silliness draws us in, and makes things more bearable. Thank you for becoming more yourself over time. You are a beautiful human being.
I'm amazed at how you start off a project not knowing what the heck you are going to make and produce a beautiful creation! Loyal fan Nick. Keep those creations coming.
I love that you share your creative process with us. A lot of makers only show tried-and-true projects that they're sure will turn out perfect. It's really refreshing to watch someone just work through unusual pieces and experiment with this and that to just see what happens, and I love the pieces you make. That gold flake is a really cool effect here.
I fell asleep watching this video. Not because it was boring, but because its 1:00 am and your videos are amazing to watch (I've been watching them since 5ish). Pls never stop the amazing work .
Too long of a video? That's ridiculous! I'd watch you do this for hours. When I first found your channel, I watched your videos just about all day. Keep up the great work.
This is like my fourth time watching it. Love this video, entertaining the whole time and very telling of the artistic nature of wood turning and Nick's process.
that wood is stunning with its golden sheen, really goes well with the gold flakes. I love the unusual finial. it's a beautiful bowl / pot. keep calm and stay weird Mr Z.
Sapele, is a great Figure wood like Iroko, superb for outdoors too. I made my Back Garden Gate and my Front Gate with it. Iroko Fence Posts sanded and Danish Oil is the way to go. Watch for Snipe and Chip out using Power Planer and Router though!
Hi Nick. Like that came out very nice with the gold and the dark wood, but what I like about you is that you never hide much, when a project does not go right the first time. You show what goes wrong and then how can I use it in another way as we all have too. Thanks. Bob from Kent England.
I just have to tell you, I love your show. I'm from Canada and I watch every show and I subbed some time back. I just wanted to say thank you for your great humour and I have learned quite a bit. I love my lathe and I have so much more to try thanks to you. Keep having fun and filming it. Just fantastic.
Hi Nick, just found you about 2 weeks ago. I've fallen in love with your artwork. I, also, love that you're not to serious, you seem to have fun with whatever you're doing. That fun loving part shows in your pieces. Now on to another of your videos!!
This piece is a magnificent piece of art. I love how chatoyant the wood is, and then mixed with the gold. It's really fantastic. If this wasn't from 5 years ago, I'd be buying it on your Etsy or wherever.
Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its the journey not always the destination......Nice Journey thank you for taking us along! Beautiful Destination too...….Thank you!
Hey Nick! I’ve been watching your channel From the timid sidelines! I’ve loved your projects! I’ve got a lathe, and the basic set of tools to do spindles...but that’s not my bag! I want to create all the beautiful things I have planned in my head, with wood and resin, or just resin. Could you slap together a wee tutorial showing us what tools you use on the lathe for these projects?? Prrrrretty please!! I can’t wait to get my claws into a good resin/wood project, and I want to make sure my current tools are adequate!!
I think that of all the beautiful things you have made, this tops them all. This is beyond beautiful. Hope you do more with the gold leaf!! Thank you for sharing with us.
Nick , Love this video ! You are not afraid to show your mistakes. That gives us encouragement to try new things. Love your openness to share new ideas. Keep yhem coming. Thanks for sharing your resources.
I love all the things you make. They are always so beautiful and your attention to detail is amazing. I would love to have a set of crochet hooks made with the ebony and gold leaf resin.
Oh, just had a thought, smashed up coloured baubles floating in resin??? Got to be the glassy type as they will reflect the LED lights you place inside too.....over to you Nick 👍🏼😊
Love your videos ! Really like that you share and show close up of the products you use, helps me a lot . really like that you show the things that may not work out so well so we learn what NOT to do. Sometimes that is so valuable. Great project .
My dad cast a lot of gold leaf back in the 1960-70s. He had in down to make them all well suspended in the resin. With out over loading it. Also he would suspend many objects in different items he made. Wish he was still alive so I could ask him how he did his castings.
We found you by accident but what a happy mistake! It was so much fun to watch you process the changes you made in order to continue your project and turned out SPECTACULAR!! My father is a woodworker, and second generation luthier so I spent many hours with him watching him create and re create things. The gears in his head always turning everything we had was homemade and made from wood. Toys, furniture, pill holders, valentine cards, clamps, ironing board, everything! And I loved them ALL! Keep up the great work and having fun. We will be watching u and the joy of creating you bring forth. Thank you!
Oh Nick! That's amazing! Really enjoyed this longer video; reminded me of the earlier NZ channel days! Only thing missing was a crazy Yorkshire Grit reveal... The really interesting finial made up for that though... Keep up the awesome!
Nick Zammeti..Nick... I really hope you meant "chuffed", not "cuffed"!! Although each to their own!! Great project, but I disagree with you about the middle wooden ring. I think it looks really cool as is! That's the problem with your common or garden perfectionist! There will ALWAYS be something not quite right (hahaha!). I would be really proud of this piece of work. It looks fantastic & the trick with the finial is inspired! Keep up the good work. Phil 👊.
Watching this on my birthday and wishing someone in my life were crafty and knowledgeable enough to make me something like this except with silver instead of gold.
omg the chip monk moments of talking just friggin' slayed me, my tummy hurt from laughing. beautiful work btw as usual and yes I am enjoying the Friday projects
Referencing 'King Midas' every time you talk about something gold is maybe too much but in this instance, 'The Midas Bowl' seems appropriate. You can just see a King removing the lid to help himself to a mass of Ferrero Rocher inside lol
Early again ❤ I love your work! (And your beard 😉) Any chance you could try doing something with peacock feathers in resin?! I'd imagine that would look incredible!!!
Recently found your channel and totally enjoy your inventiveness and creativity. You not afraid to try new things and are really cutting edge and just darn enjoyable to watch. Thank you!
That's really beautiful and the gold leaf really sets it off. I really enjoyed watching. My dad was really great with wood as well. Before his cancer he'd spend hours out in his workshop and he also use to carve birds and wildlife. I honestly don't think there wasn't anything he couldn't do.
Anyone else insanely jealous of all this man's tools and equipment haha. I'm just starting on my journey one day I will have a shop like this guy.
Yeah his tools, his talent and his imagination!
When I grow up I want a shop like his.
Another one easy before we started watching but man... You never cease to Amaze us Nick! You rock. Thanx for re uploading these older ones ✌️
I love watching you turn Resin, it looks like “ Silly String” flying everywhere. PS Bowl turned out gorgeous.
You should watch the Pohl Barn then.
Like your openness during your crafting process. 👍🏼
I'm amazed how you go from "Not sure what I'll do", then you just go with it and finishing with something awesome!
reaper1874 haha thanks so much 😜😜😜
You make beautiful pieces of art. I enjoy watching you make them. They are unique and you should be proud.
I love that you share your creative process with us. A lot of makers only show tried-and-true projects that they're sure will turn out perfect. citenks if you like this stuff go take a look at Peter Brown he does some amazing stuff
How are you not a professional wood turner? You are so gifted and your stuff is so amazing!!
I fell asleep watching this video. Not because it was boring, but because its 1:00 am and your videos are amazing to watch (I've been watching them since 5ish). Pls never stop the amazing work .
Nick that’s absolutely beautiful, I throughly enjoyed watching you make this bowl ❗️🙏🏻🥰🤩
Too long of a video? That's ridiculous! I'd watch you do this for hours. When I first found your channel, I watched your videos just about all day. Keep up the great work.

It gorgeous. The gold in it makes it that much special. Brilliant idea.
it was fun watching how you fixed those problems you came across. great save !
To me it looks like a very impressive honey pot.
Winnie the pooh would put a cap in someone's ass over that honey pot 😜
I would use it as an extremely fancy breadbasket
JAR!
craniumbear has
What kind of finish on the inside? Maybe pure beeswax polished in at high speed on the lathe. Perfect honey pot for sure.
Very very nice bowl. I love this bowl. I love it so much I wish I had one. Beautiful gold leaf bowl
Wow. Just caught this one. I love the way your octagonal cut blond wood “glows” with the different grains
I love the gold leave. Beautiful results!!!
I love all the different elements that you used for this Bowl/Pot. I especially love the topper! Keep up all the funky work.
This is stunningly beautiful!
It’s a work of art. Love the extra touches.
Dear Nick this is an awesome piece that you made with the glitter. The shine in the wood is stunning.
I love how you never give up, your projects are constantly evolving from one thing to another.
Cheers from Michigan.

I love how the bowl turned out it’s truly a piece of work 🍯
You are an amazing artist...not afraid to create as you go!

Absolutely gorgeous piece!!!
that wood is stunning with its golden sheen, really goes well with the gold flakes. I love the unusual finial. it's a beautiful bowl / pot. keep calm and stay weird Mr Z.

You really inspire me to try something different.
Its stunning and I love it!!

Nick, a really fascinating video. Great idea with the multi media. My wife said that the music however, sounded like a broken record. Great job!
Love to watch your creativity come to life! Also love to watch the fails and your corrections to make a success! Fabulous piece!
Me, halfway through: Stop! You’re ruining it!
Nick: Oh yea of little faith, hee hee.
A while later...
Me: OH WOW!!!
This turned out beautifully! Watching the process is so much fun!
This was really cool to watch. Thanks for sharing all your hard work. I think the piece turned out beautiful. 🙂
I absolutely love this bowl/pot, the layering with gold leaf in resin is fantastic!!
I just have to tell you, I love your show. I'm from Canada and I watch every show and I subbed some time back. I just wanted to say thank you for your great humour and I have learned quite a bit. Another great vid Mr. Nick...kinda looks like Pooh Bears' Golden Honey Pot, but nonetheless it's a great bowl & a superb video.....thanks!
towboatin4real 409 I thought honey pot
I was thinking exactly the same thing!
I'm glad to know that I was not the only one to think it looked like a honey pot!
towboatin4real 409 I thought pooh bears hunny pot too!
Totally had the exact same thought lol
This piece is a magnificent piece of art. I love how chatoyant the wood is, and then mixed with the gold. It's really fantastic. If this wasn't from 5 years ago, I'd be buying it on your Etsy or wherever.
It's quite beautiful, reminds me of a honeypot. So many changeups you made while making it too.
I love these long videos.
♥♥

Tons of work and it is stunning. I love the gold leaf chips. Absolutely an original work of art! 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
several months late, a small electric tealight candle inside could look really nice
Oh my GOODNESS!
this is beautiful :)
I would proudly display this in my living room.
Fun!!!
Really like the finial!
Interesting how the gold leaf migrated....kinda like how your hair tends to migrate on its own.
CMTHFAF lol 😂 thanks Colleen . Looking forward to seeing you at MC 😜👍🏽
I love all the things you make. They are always so beautiful and your attention to detail is amazing. I would love to have a set of crochet hooks made with the ebony and gold leaf resin.

Marc’s Fx ya
I'm binging on your old videos. They're great and your art is amazing!
Wow, that's beautiful. I love the unusual finial.
thanks very much
Luscious..the gold leaf compliments the way the wood shimmers gold light.
Love the pot. It reminds me of Winnie the Pooh and his honey pot especially with that piece in the top that reminds me of a wooden honey stick
Love your videos ! Really like that you share and show close up of the products you use, helps me a lot . really like that you show the things that may not work out so well so we learn what NOT to do. Sometimes that is so valuable. Great project .

I stumbled on this video. And I'm glad I did. This is amazing.
Watching this on my birthday and wishing someone in my life were crafty and knowledgeable enough to make me something like this except with silver instead of gold.
Happy belated birthday!
Your " Trial & Error" thought process amazes me as you come up with alternative designs as you go along!
BRILLIANT as you Brits say!

One favorite commenting on another favorite's channel?! OH HOW I ADORE YOU BOTH😍🤩
Xoxox from Miami
I just loved watching this video, the time, effort, creativity and humor you put in this project was pleasing to the eyes...

Your the only wood turning channel I have subscribed to.I live in Iowa USA. Keep up the good work. Jim's wood shop.
Early again ❤ I love your work! (And your beard 😉)
Any chance you could try doing something with peacock feathers in resin?! I'd imagine that would look incredible!!!
Carbella o hey thanks , that’s a cool idea . I’ll see if I can find some x
I love this idea! At least the "big eye" at the tip! Brilliant!
Carbella o that sounds like a great challenge!
Carbella o Yes, Nick peacock feathers or any bright feathers would look amazing.
They are very wispy and will collapse if you just pour resin around them, though. Might need to try a few things.
The piece between the 2 gold leaf is perfect choice, and right colour wood. Excellent
I would Love to see a pic of this, lit with fairy lights ✌
I have spent all night watching your videos!!😂 I've fallen down the rabbit hole. Your videos are just absolutely amazing!!
Love it - but thought I was going mad with the repetitive musak. Every time I muted it - I'd miss one of yur funnies though :)
It's very unique like you. We are our worst critics. How else do we become masters! Thank you for sharing and making us all smile.
YOU SHOULD MAKE A LAMP WITH THE GOLD LEAF!
Recently found your channel and totally enjoy your inventiveness and creativity. You not afraid to try new things and are really cutting edge and just darn enjoyable to watch. Thank you!
You learn a lot from experimental pieces. This one is beautiful tho.
Heather Kiser thanks heather 😜👍🏽
Every time I see a piece he does , I don't understand how anyone can not like it. I don't get it? Everything he does is incredible.....
Some ebony would have looked a bit cleaner.
Those edges on the middle part is throwing me off a bit.
But overall a really beautiful piece.
That's really beautiful and the gold leaf really sets it off. I really enjoyed watching. My dad was really great with wood as well. Before his cancer he'd spend hours out in his workshop and he also use to carve birds and wildlife. I honestly don't think there wasn't anything he couldn't do.
