NFS HEAT - Engines Explained - How to pick the best engines!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 кві 2020
- I break down engines, types, and displacements. Hopefully making it much easier for you to pick the best engine for your vehicle, regardless of which it is.
between 0:00 and 0:27 you were in sync with the beat and i actually thought it was just the song playing and not you speaking... BRILIANT
Just letting u know: the flat 6 and the v6 have the same crankshaft configuration a boxer 6 (porche) has a crank pin per piston, so esentialy the flat 6 and v6 are the same engine, flat 6 allowing for lower center of gravity while the v6 can fit in basically any car.
Absolutely brilliant explanation! 👏 The analogy you use literally just made it click in my mind! Well done Sir! Earned a sub from me 💯
Analo?
I'm having real trouble listening to what you're saying because of the voice and music volume configuration
Thanks for the feedback, vid was one of my very first and was still getting the hang of editing. Improving is something I always look at.
Everybody in UA-cam uses the same free music. It is exhausting.
I missed the first half of the video having a conversation with my dad about our close family friend from Scotland who owned an AMG C63 and then later the new Shelby 5.0 (new back in 2012) that we called the Batmobile and the Shelby was the Death Star bc he had a breathalyzer from his DUI installed in it. So to crank it he had to blow which always sounded like Darth Vader cranking up the Death Star. The C63 got it's name from me bc it didn't look like shit when he bought it just a 4 door all black luxury car. Until he took me out to the bar the first night and scared the living shit out of me on the highway in it.
THANK YOU! I just started this game and my buddy said he beat the whole game with a BMW and I could not understand how since I'm mechanically stupid and this made way more sense.
Thank you so much! I felt illiterate looking at these specs cause I'm not a car guy but my brother plays this game, but now I understand!!!
Underated...
Thank you so much for making this explanation it really helps! I might need to re-watch again as guidance ^^
Glad it helps! Also made one for drift parts if you ever need it.
@@VekEZ8247 thanks will check it out later on! ^^
I needed this! Thnx for the knowledge big dawg
You honestly deserve more than 800 subs, you put a lot of effort in this video and it really shows
One Day, One Day
😂this video is 3 years old and it helped me today 😂😂😂. Thanks.
It's easy. Torque is what makes you pull harder of the line. This game doesn't really follow real world car stuff that great though. There's more than just number of pistons. There's bore and stroke and all kinds of different stuff that affect engine performance
Precisely
so in theory torquey engine should be better for track since youre accelerating out of corners constantly?
After watching this i feel 50x smarter
Great explanation than other utuber who said you are using the wrong turbo lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can you do a video where you explain how engine swaps between cars work. I don’t really understand how some engines are able to go into other cars. Great vid
Long as you have the money and skill you can fit almost any engine I to any vehicle lol
Just started playing nfs heat, and had a hard time understanding torque and hp. And engine swaps in general. This helped me a lot!
if i keep upgrading my crankshaft will my rpm get higher? i swapped to 3.8L v6 in 180sx and i hate it, don't like the sound and on 5krpm but its better then the stock one.
thks bro so usefull in 2023😎
U said bigger the displacement, bigger the engine. Does having bigger engine make car heavier in this game?? If so wouldnt it make it slower if torque is constant.
In a matter of speaking yes. But NFS doesn’t factor that in, so don’t worry about it.
@@VekEZ8247 i highly appreciate the quick reply. Subbed
This game doesn't follow real world mechanics at all
@@briancrawford69 dont care. Got bored. Uninstalled.
@@1nsaneme973 have you tried to play it with someone else? I'am currently playing with my friend and it makes this game 10 times more enjoyable than playing alone
Great explanation !!
I’m only 3 mins in but I’m just gonna day that I typically go for the highest potential hp as I build my cars specifically for speed then I work out if it’s a rally set up or track/race
Not a bad habit for building for race. Even if you dont get the best build possible, you're still gonna have a decent build that will do what it needs to.
@@VekEZ8247 yea tho this game nearly demands you to drift almost every corner and so far only a few of my cars can and most aren’t my best cuz they drift way to late and understeer
What would the best engine for the Audi S5?
I have the Ferrari 458 spider and I was wondering what the best engine is for it cuz it starts with super parts and I can’t compare the other engines since they are at pro parts.
What do you think the best sounding swaps are?
Flat 6 into the 180sx hands down my favorite. Second is the forged rotary or V8 into the Rx7.
@@VekEZ8247 the r35 v6 in the brz as I call it the GTRz
@@VekEZ8247
I have that engine on my 180sx and boi it sounds amazing.
.
I imagined the rotary would sound amazing as well, love those and i will try to get a wankel.
i just pick what sounds nicer :D
Also the 3.6l is a bigger displacement but says it only has373 torque when the smaller engine has 691.
If i upgrade them to max will the larger displacment one have that massive difference in torgue so confusing
So you don't know what engine is best until you've bought it and maxed it. Guess that tracks.
Not the answer I was hoping for, but an answer nonetheless. Thanks for the video!
Edit: Just dropped 400 grand to find out an engine is worse than the base one. Not a huge fan of this mechanic, tbh.
Nice content bro
Rsr 440hp 3.5lbvs vs 503jp 2.9l vs what would you choose? I'm leaning towards the 3.5l but you kinda through me for a loop as the 2.9 has a faster 0 to 60 time so there for would it carry to the 100 plus or would I need to adjust the forced are or supercharger to make it work
Am I supposed to compare with all upgraded performance parts OFF? Cuz otherwise, what I'm running now is better than every engine unlocked so far at REP 32.
I think the fact that the first two engines available at REP 32 are extremely low in terms of quality/stats is throwing me off cuz I'm like okay do I wait then?? I'm wondering what the point of those are... Since the remaining 5 increasingly better engines don't get unlocked til REP 39... And even a couple of those are worse than what I already have without ever switching.
This stuff doesn't make sense to me, idk I'm having a tough time understanding
Thanks for the vid very useful as im new to nfs heat
Thanks buddy well explained
I assume this same knowledge transfers over to need for speed unbound?
so if i have the option for a flat 12 and a v12, than i should go for a v12 for racing? to specify, the 6,5l v12 vs 4,9l flat 12 for the Mustang
this confused me quite bit, so im asking a question to clearify, for a race car I want to look for what has highest HorsePower Potental? and for drift i would want the highest torque?
That's the idea.
omg thank you so fuckin much i had some trouble trying to figure out what the fuck what the torque mechanic in the game do
thank you so much, not a car guy tho lol
Correct me if I am wrong because I am still trying to understand your HP vs Torque explanation but engines with more torque means they will have more consistent performance vs engines with high Horse power which will have over all better top speed but might take more time to go through it's gears?
A bit simpler than that. Higher horsepower means better top end speed, more torque means better acceleration. Just keep in mind that rally is soft capped at 156 mph so more hp means nothing, and muscle barely makes it over 200 mph regardless of HP as well.
So how exactly the size of engine matter for acceleration near top speed? Will for example 5l v12 be faster than 6l v10 or vice versa?
You'll have to compare displacement. More pistons doesn't necessarily mean more engine. However you can equate that to higher RPMs in a few cases for engines with more pistons vs lower piston/more low end torque for something like a v8. Think Muscle Vs Euro.
i just choose engine with the sound i like hahaha
Precisely why I always go for the Inline 6 for the 180sx. That sound is amazing.
@@VekEZ8247 i love mx-5 with flat 6 nice vid btw
So when you’re shopping new engines does it display what the car what look like fully loaded according to the stats or is that the stock version of the new engine?
I've seem the barracuda and 69 charger engines are available in a bunch of cars in nfs unbound, same with the zo6 and z28 engines. My first swap will be the cougar with the chargers engine. A 7.0 big block in a cougar I'm not ready.
Sooo
Which one should I pick
Can you lmk what happens to the engines in the car when you sell it? Are they still there and you could re-equip it if you were to buy it back?
You loose any equipped parts. I would recommend equipping all the cheap parts before selling any car.
What engine should I use for my Mercedes-AMG GT 15
I’d like to know as well
What would be the best Engine for the GTR Nismo?
Forged v8
@@SupzyXI Thanks
Aston martin DB11: Stock engine or 4.9L flat v12?
So what your saying is going for an engine with V12's/V8's
Is handling, weight distribution, or traction not a factor?
Weight of the car yes. Notice how lighter cars tend top out with less hp but still be op lotus exige for example
Quick question because I'm still having a hard time with the whole engine thing, I'm trying to engine swap my DB5 but there are 4 engines with 1239 hp, the 6.2l V8, 5.2l V12, 8.4l V10, and the 6.5l V12. Which is the best one?
If you're racing, just go for one of the v12s. What changes is the acceleration. But you won't notice much of a difference.
@@VekEZ8247 what engine has higher acceleration out of V12s?
Hey man, did you ever end up making the video about turbos and superchargers?
I have it all set up, just never got around to publishing it. I will soon, now that I’m reminded of it.
@@VekEZ8247 awesome! Thanks man really appreciate it, your heat drift videos have already helped me so much 👍 your a legend 😁
@@VekEZ8247 I don’t mean to be a pain just wanted to remind you again lol
formula for work a Forged or hybrids ? a lot of guys know a maclaren p1 v8 3.8 hybrid is best engine in a game i Found out you can install it only on 3 car but is there any forged engine better than it?
Nope, the hybrid is the best.
Which engine is best for the R34?
thx bro, u saved me
I’m looking at engines for the Giulia and the 3.5l V6 looks the best am I right?
Is the 4 rotor still in this
is possible to use diffrent's cars engine
It is if they share the same engine option.
Can you swap engines to other cars?
If 2 or more cars share the same engine swap. As long as it's not in a car already, you can swap it in, upgrades and all.
Best engine for ford gt???? Pls answer
does it matter if i had already put my best kit in my standard engine? could i still buy the better engine and still keep my parts?
Yes and no. Does it matter, NOPE! You keep all the parts/upgrades you purchased, just remove them from the car and engine you had, install the new one and put the parts back in into the new engine/car.
How do you have a RX-7
Not Tha street gang intro😂
I somehow got a gearbox equipped and can't get it uneqqiped HELP
Equip the stock gearbox. You can’t “un-equip”, but you can change it for a different one.
I wanna play nfs w u
hey great video but for an advice remove the music when u talk cuz we wanna hear u talking not hear the music so we can focus on 1 thing :)
What’s the best engine for the DB11 vol-ante?
ua-cam.com/video/pujPgEw8guU/v-deo.html
Here's a link to a race build I did on the Volante. I also have a drift build as well.
Can someone just explain me in easy words what matter the most while swapping an engine
Potential hp or power
This video went over my head, I guess I'm to dumb😅😅
I'm working on a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 '13, currently I have an 893hp 7.0L V8, should I switch to a 730hp 6.5L V12? Also, when you swap engines, why does it show so much red in the stats? Is it because those are base stats? It's very confusing.
Depends on the type of build. I use the V8 for drifting, v12 for racing. And you’re correct on the red part.
@@VekEZ8247 awesome, thank you very much brother, much appreciated 🤙🤙🤙
What engine should I use with the BMW M2 in NFS Heat?
I got the m3 and the v12 engine looks dope
what i don't understand is why i cant get the potential Horsepower that is listed with the parts fully upgraded
Bad game design. There's a lot of things that they tried to do that are great, but missed the mark all over the place.
@@VekEZ8247 i agree one thing i noticed is that they massacred the Performance of hypercars and supercars they did great listing good stats on paper but once you take these cars to the track and try them out they are horrible and will go straight to the wall on corners wich i just dont understand if they perform that bad why make them so expensive in the game like a car worth 10x less than a 2 million dollar car will outperform that 2 million dollar car so why even try to gain all that money to buy it
Is there a hidden weight value? And thus, does the v8 suffer vs the v6 due to this?
For example, the 4.4l v8 vs a 2.6l v6 for the Skyline, by the logic in the video the 4.4l v8 should be faster right?
the little white car with the 400+ next to it what does that mean
Performance index. Means it's above max.
Which engine is best for a Camaro Z28 '14
Forged if it has the option.
Does that mean hybrid and forged> any other engine??
In cases that cars have it. Yeah.
So what’s a good engine for the Challenger SRT8 14
Forged
So you basics go off the 0-60 and the top speed when swapping ? Not the horsepower numbers ?
Whats the best engine parts for koenisegg to be the fastest racer?
just go all Ultimate+, that one doesnt have any swap options.
The best engine is from the regera. Put him in the Porsche and you're the fastest
It makes it more difficult when the stock engine parts are different tiers for each engine. Why the heck cant nfs make the best engine the most expensive one ffs.
I get why they did it, but it does make it a bit more confusing when some stock engines can compete with the second or third best engine options if you have the ult+ parts.
Flat 6 for mclaren curious?
Which one? If it's the f1, it should have the hybrid option if I remember right.
damn..i wish i'm a car guy. I'm a guy & i feel ashamed not knowing all these
Is high torque hood like 1700 torque?
That’s real high torque. If you’re 1200+ that would be high torque.
@@VekEZ8247 is it good or bad? It’s on the camero ss with 1400 hp
@@ManAngelLion Torque helps with acceleration and getting off the line, and the more of it there is the quicker your car moves
I am more confused than i was before I watched this. The problem I find is if I swap engine my ult+ parts are removed from the engine that i swap to inventory. It is too much work to just go back and forth between purchased engines. The game is seriously messed up with regards to this subject. A $19,000 car with a full build, should not be faster than a $2 milllion car with a full build. Even when I use the exact build and car as my friends, one of us is faster, on straight sections one of us can pass the other like nothing.
That is false 2 million dollar cars in real life tend to be modded as far as they can be stock. So no your wrong any 2,000 car always will have potential to be faster then a 2 million dollar build especially if built for the same thing a Honda civic with 40 k in mods will be faster then a 2 million dollar car because the Honda can be modded the 2 mil car is at its max potential except for maybe tune. Straight from the factory.
@@joebone3151 still not seeing it, as a high end car is designed for it, while a cheap car is not. You could roll, flip, even break the frame in half, the cheaper cars body is heavier too, too much performance for the design, won't work. If you build a drag racing car, maybe that could be done, but I think there is a good reason why its just not done very much.
@@s4lroachclip number one the best rally cars are built off of cuvs so shut up I sent this 30 feet no problem if you did research their some of the most stable vehicles at speed and oh shut the encore ranked damn close to a tesla when it came to safety
Sorry but most high-end cars can even handle a crash at 35 mph my encore making 200 hp has survived at 100 mph all I had to do is replace my strut, control arm, idler arm and so forth because I hydro planed which by the more gas less break. Also the computer systems actually make for a worse performing car traction control is only need in bad weather abs anti lock breaks. Always lock up. I can push a car harder with out the Un needed bull crap. You take turns faster. Also built cars have chassis enhancements you can't so to the high-end super car.
I accidentally put a Lamborghini engine in a Dodge
Does real world knowledge even factor in?? This is an arcade style game not a simulation style. So wouldn't you just choose that has the least horsepower to torque ratio? You want speed and instant power, HP high speeds/ torque instant giddy up
ZOV
He is so wrong about so much. Same displacement different piston numbers will mean the one with more pistons will rev higher as each piston will be smaller, lighter and most likely have a shorter stroke so they have less distance to trave so cover it faster. Since horse power is a figure of torque and rpm, 2 engines with the same horse power and one with more torque will not rev as high. The one with less torque will likely run better with more gears as it will stay on the power better where as with more torque put less rpm fewer gears is likely to be better as the ratios will be longer and slow you to use the better mid range power more effectively.
Disclaimer. This is only a rough explanation (it's far more complicated) and is based on the real word, the game physics are not the se as real world and so this may not apply.
Your disclaimer at then end is unfortunately the reality. While I did use how engines work in the real world. They don’t work like this in game and all that goes out the window. So the guide is solely based on in game mechanics rather than real world mechanics. Maybe criterion will take more of how engines actually work in the real world so it makes more sense in the next game.
@@VekEZ8247 if you had the ability to customise gear ratios like in GT you could make any engine suit any task and would enable to people to use the engine they want feather than the one that fits the pre determined ratios of the vehicle. And then they could allow a larger range of engine swaps. I'd final get my rotary C10 truck (pointless but hilarious)
@@nickince5934 I feel you. Sadly NFS heat is still an arcade game and the torque and HP ratios make no sense even across engines with the same Type, Piston type, and displacement. But if they went in depth with it, it would be more a simcade like Forza, rather than an arcade like NFS. We could only hope though that 2021 will have a bit more of than for tunings sake.
I normally go:
blue =better
Red =worse
Then diff tyres and suspension depending on the type of car I’m making (I prefer them centered)
Ingame stats mean nothing as well as real world experience when it comes to this game. It would've been a great vid if you tested everything but I can't hear you talk about anything but theory which is pointless
music is distracting and pretty much as loud as you
I can't hear shit over the music though.
I'd like too point out that you are wrong. In this game sometimes logic a turn for the non existence
For me, if the Flat engine can get 400+ in any car available yes it's almost easy to beat that gay Porsche RSR
