Shang Tsung is the most versatile player in all of mortal kombat and these matches had so much energy. The fatalities were awesome and the player knew how to skilfully use Shang Tsung in game play. Shang Tsung is my absolute favorite now in all of mortal kombat 💯

Around the times of MK2, 3, UMK3, and Trilogy, Shang definitely has been tough to master given his ability to morph into all the other characters means you gotta know what he can do _AND_ what the others can do when you play as him.
I never noticed it before, but it appears as if they were trying to make MK3 more 3d looking with the backgrounds. It uses some 3d modeling and looks like some backgrounds appear 3d.
There’s no 3D modeling in this game, it’s all pixel art and digitized photos. The 3D effect comes from the use of multiple layers, most staged have 2-3 layers.

To bad at the time Shang couldn’t morph into motaro for kinda the similar fatality as kintaro . it would’ve been a mule kick with such force into it . that it would’ve made the opponent explode or use his tail projectile & that to would explode the opponent or picking up the opponent & when you hit him or her they either will explode or fall to pieces like Baraka scissor move

It is interesting how the roster changes between games like in 2 how Kano and Sonya are unplayable because they were captured or how in three Johnny Cage or Smoke died so they're not here
x Hasan *update* wiki tells me the actor used fpr johnny cage was fired or something which is why he didn't appear in MK3 though I kind of liked the idea that he died in game
Beautiful combo. One of the best in MK games. I came up with this on my own too. You can even make it longer and more damaging if you catch your opponent with the tornado spin in the air, then perform the rolling blade on them and as they start to fall start performing another tornado spin run and as they hit the ground finish performing it and you will be able to catch them again but the timing has to be super precise. And then just roll out the rest of the combo as seen here (again startimg with the rolling blades). You can also hp spam the opponent and as they roll back, do the spin and roll out the combo, but its blockable during the hphphphphp part but CPu doesnt always block it so you can get away with a 77% combo if I remember correctly. They nerfed Kabal so bad in umk3.

Yeah the 3rd one was a strange animal at first, but it had a certain appeal in terms of atmosphere & especially music which in my opinion has never been topped since.
Technically MK3 looked better, but the art in MK2 was way more interesting - its Outworld after all. I was always kind of OK with the characters...and although Scorpion was my favourite it did not bother me that he was missing this time... the cyber ninjas were cool as hell. But yeah - all fatalities pretty much look dogsh*t in MK3 and lazy with the exception of Nightwolf's "moon beam".
Does nobody use the throws am I the only one. Until you get high up in the game systems the throws take quite a bit of energy away and every person I watch online none of them use the throws I always did I did not like to get bested in judo.
