- Star Trek Enterprise was cancelled nearly 15 years ago. It ended after four bumpy seasons. It found its footing, but it was a season or two late. Thankfully, leaked documents and interviews later we learn about season five of Enterprise. It would have been great to see Captain Archer in at least one more season, especially with some of these great ideas!
What do you guy's think of the returning idea? Do you like this idea? Let me know in the comments below!

Hey everyone! This was a fun idea I had. I enjoyed making this video. Star Trek Enterprise gets a bit of a bad rap but I think a lot of people are coming around on it! It's quite fun and the possibilities of season five really make your imagination go crazy! As usual, thanks SO much for the support. I can't do it without you. BIG thanks to my Patreon contributors who are the reason I can eat at night. Thank you SO much. If you'd like to contribute, please head over to Patreon.com/natertot

Well I likesd Enterprise from S01 E01, so of cause I'd love to have a 5th season ;)
aside from the several historical inaccuracies throughout the show, like the Borg discovered frozen on Earth, i enjoy re-watching many episodes to this day. i thought a season 5 would end with the beginning of the Romulan war for season 6.
Same
I have a story line that would explain the origin of the Borg.... To bad I CANNOT send It To them to have it made
Enterprise is actually one of my favorites Trek’s
Agreed

Same
My favorite Trek after DS9
Enterprise and DS9 are mine.
It's a shame this show was cancelled just when it was getting really, really good.
Amen, Darin. Not a perfect show by any means, but I really enjoyed the cast. They made the most of the prequel elements. It's a damn shame. Now just have New Trek 😕
@@NaterTot My biggest problem with the show was that the writers forgot that there were no food replicators on the ship. The ship never had a food shortage or issue. They said they had a "protein resequencer" that could make simple stuff like pasta and imitation potatoes, but you can't live on that. They needed fresh vegetables, pecans for Trip's pecan pie, etc. Someone told me that they mentioned a hydroponics bay, but on a ship that size, it couldn't have been big enough to feed the crew for extended periods.
Darin Wagner well, the xindi arc showed they could deal with the more realistic concerns of being far into deep space with no chance of repairs or resupply at a friendly base. But, similarly, the writers ignored a lot of logistical problems during Voyagers run as well, even if replicators could Hans wave many problems.
It just seemed odd which technologies they chose to include in the NX and which were ‘impossible’ by the 22nd century. Working transporters that can beam humans safely despite ‘The Cage’ implying that feature being recent, if not transporter tech being a 23rd century invention. Phase pistols replacing lasers despite that also being called out in the TOS pilot. But no force fields/shields or tractor beams! I would have thought tractor beams would have been easy once navigational deflectors were a thing, which they are, on the NX.
But continuity in trek is a fickle thing, and it’s probably best to just say the MST3K mantra and enjoy the show.
@@russellharrell2747 A lot of those tech choices were dictated by the brass and not Berman/Braga. They didn't want transporters, Paramount said they had to have them in there. I would have done it differently than they had.
Darin Wagner yeah, studio interference wins again.
With Star Trek: Enterprise, there should have been a season 5, 6, 7 and 8!
Least haha
Probably would have ended at 7 since previous ones seem to follow that tradition except tos and tas.
@Paul Perkins
Like a Quantum Accelerator so we can leap back to Archer 😂??
No way. Berman and Braga ruined everything.
@@tjames9698 another delusional hater.
The best moment in Star Trek Enterprise is when the Vulcan Ambassador to Earth admits that humans demonstrate a superior ability to overcome wars. He continues to explain, what took Vulcans 1,500 years to overcome, humans will accomplish in less than a century. This intrigued me as I could see the series really expanding on this concept. I’ve been watching Star Trek since the 60’s and “Enterprise” was my favourite iteration.
That to me was one of THE top most important moments in all of Star Trek, and I loved that exchange!
I think the ideas, especially around the Romulan war and the creation of a neutral zone is good candidate for a movie.
I agree! That would be one hell of a movie
kind of good idea, but i think it would better to have 10 -15 episodes rather than a full 2 hour movie....think along the lines of Shogun, which should in five parts, but when a movie of it came out it was severely...condensed. (or 1980's V, which also showed monday - friday)
@@ebee-uz1oz You can do a lot more in 15 episodes. Yeah. Good idea.
@@525Lines yep, gather a fleet, refitting the NX's to well, whatever they were, debating on building more Daedulus types or NX's (novels mentioned took more time to do an NX than a Daedulus)
The people who are running trek today would screw it up.
They cancelled it when the show was just getting really good. So disappointing. I wish a Trek series would revisit this era, even if it's a different ship/crew.
Star Trek Beyond sorta did with the Franklin.
Star Trek: Horizon is an excellent fan film that revisits the Archer era. I highly recommend it.
@Nightbringer2000 Yeah, things really started to get going in Season 4 (once Manny Coto came on board and he started bringing in decent writers like Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens), but by then it was too little too late, and the show had lost too many viewers by then for UPN to justify continuing it (at least in their eyes).
The NextGen holodeck simulation was based on faulty data... it did not include classified info only known to Section 31. Remember Trip winking.
@@DuaneKeenan Agreed. Trip winks while Archer and Phlox give each other a look that sort of says, “It’s time. Implement the plan now”. So I see it the way you say too.
The romulan war is what I was expecting in season 5. It was all leading that way. Sad that it didn't happen 😭
It's covered in a pair of Enterprise novels.
@@garytwinem5275 Yes, but the novels are....underwhelming. They focus more on cloak and dagger stuff with Trip at the center, instead of the struggle between fleets. Only a few pages cover the actual actions by ships and crews. Its very disappointing. Don't mistake me, I like Cdr. Tucker as a character, but the novels feature him in probably 80 -90 % of the story.
@@tiggergolah They were a bit boring 🙂
In TOS there was a line by Kirk mentioning how the earth /romulan war was fought with impulse power and nuclear weapons. Also no one knew what the romulans looked like until TOS episode 'Balance of Terror' .
@The high ground Actually I have to agree. It doesn't make sense given the distances without warp.
The characters of Star Trek: Enterprise matured into their roles much quicker than the other Star Trek shows. It was a great show and like other have said, was actually getting better. It was a true shame it did not go 3 or more seasons!
i wish so much
I always found NX-01's crew more likeable than the bland Next Generation know-it-alls.
Exactly my point. From the first episode they where on spot with their characters, very impressive. Compared with NG and Voyager, and even DS9 where some of the actors where struggling with the characters and didn’t fit very well, the Enterprise series was just a pleasure to watch from start to finish. Enterprise is the series that I’ve watched many times (at least some episodes).
Enterprise did the same five shows over and over.
,time to move on to other things.
I thought that Enterprise was far superior in its first two seasons than STNG…..the characters in that show at that stage of its development, were pretty bland, infact I found TNG to be the least appealing in its first two seasons…..Enterprise was definitely the more interesting of the two shows, and it’s characters FAR more interesting and engaging!!
I’d love to see a 5th season of Enterprise !!!
Trip's death only happened as they were wrapping things up with that last episode....which they knew was the LAST episode of Enterprise ever. If they knew there would have been a 5th season they would have never had that episode and his death.
True he and t’pol should have been married
@@martinthomas1293 I actually felt quite depressed after knowing they are not together. I remember V'lar said that she sensed a strong bond between T'pol and Archer. And that I think is the trust between Vulcan and earth. Trip and T'pol's marriage would be a more intimate trust between them.
Trip only died in the hollodeck, it could be written as history got it wrong
Of course the last episode was set 10 years after the next to last episode of season 4, so that means there could be 10 more seasons of enterprise, right?
The holodeck/holoprogram Riker used was broken, as usual. O'Brien, years earlier, even jokes about how bad the holodeck was on the Enterprise D with Worf when Worf shows up on DS9. Easy enough to explain away Trip's death or that entire episode. Besides, the so- called Enterprise "finale" would not have happened at all if there had been a fifth season. No way would the show would continue without Trip.
I would have happily watched a season of the mirror universe Enterprise. More Hoshi in her peignoir, please!!

@@garytwinem5275 Got that right ... 😍😍😍
ENT improved in Season 3 when they focused their storytelling on a theme, and drastically improved when Manny Coto came aboard for season 4. If it comes back, it need Manny Coto as showrunner. He was writing Trek like stories before he came aboard to manage the final season.
That's my feeling as well - things really started to get going in Season 4 (once Manny Coto came on board and he started bringing in decent writers like Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens), but by then it was too little too late, and the show lost too many viewers by then for UPN to justify continuing it (at least in their eyes).
I made a mistake not watching Enterprise when it came out. I was s big TNG fan and didnt like the idea of going backwards. My wife and I finally watched it a couple of years ago and LOVED it. We were so disappointed at the end of season 4. I would really like to see it come back and finish out.
ENTERPRISE remains my favourite Trek to this day.
mine as well. Paramount made a huge mistake cancelling this series in season 4. ughhhhh
Ironically enterprise is the series that has aged best
I think DS9 aged the best out of them, I can still watch that over and over.
Because it's already 16:9.
Interesting observation. Im curious as to why you feel that? Trust me...Im not coming down on you. Lol...I LOVE ENTERPRISE for the personal relationships...and the tech!
Agreed
Not true! Deep Space Nine is and always will be the best!
T'Pol, her emotions was explained by Trillium D addiction, but as you have point out, her mom pointed out that
here emotion was always a bit more on the surface then most volcans.
I do expect some Vulcans differ to various degrees. I wouldn’t want them to be homogeneous. Even Soval had a noticeable outburst that Archer called him out on in s1 e1.
@@2bituser569 True, but was he doing it to force his point, or because was really angry, but as its pointed out many times the volcans do have emotions, they just try to subpress there emotions, because of there violent past.
@@kjetilhvalstrand1009
Either way its not a cultural norm we have observed for Vulcans to result pretend to be emotional to make a point. A pretense could be viewed as a lie which Vulcans say they can’t do. Using anger to change their decision would be imho poor logic.
@@2bituser569 Talk loudly can simply be a means, to achieve a desired outcome. if is most logical way to appeal to human, then Soval might simply being using it to manipulate archer. T'Pol made an exaggeration early on the series, to make Klingons competent. Reaching the voice can be simply an end to a means.
@@kjetilhvalstrand1009
Anything is possible but its not usually their way to manipulate through deceit. That’s more like the Romulan way which we see were influencing Vulcans to be more like them. Normally, I find if Someone raises their voice to me it escalates the situation.
I think there's still time to go back with a series at a older age with Scott Bakula. I'd definitely watch it
When NCIS:New Orleans ends, they should have Pride "leap" into the body of a starship captain, and let out an "Oh, boy"!
I'm sorry..
I'd like it too...but it's just not happening...The new Trek has been hijacked by politics and run by people who were never fans...they don't care about Star Trek...To them it's just a vehicle for Woke politics...
So it's never going to happen for these and many other reasons..it was a great version of Trek.
Yes, it would only be a few decades in the future and they could do another 3 or 4 series covering all the gaps in the story. They should have done that instead of the Xindi and temporal war arch in the earlier series.
I am in the middle of a season 4 rewatch. That's some good Trek.
The storytelling style of Enterprise was ahead of its time. Just completed a rewatch after only watching it back in the day. I used to think it was stylistically jarring coming after DS9 and Voyager originally, but it now feels like a worthy predecessor to the structure and style of where Discovery and Picard have gone since. It was a smaller, grounded world that let us peer into the shadows than we did in the next generation. There was still so much to tell and sad it ended early and abruptly. Now, they could pick up the story years later to put the band back together and trek out once more for another few seasons under a newly established Prime Directive(?). ...and yes more Shran please. That would be an amazing treat!
Section 31 faked Tripps death so he could become an operative .
I loved Enterprise and was sorry to see it go. T'Pol's character could have been developed more in a Season 5 for sure!
We're currently rewatching the entire Enterprise series and loving it. It's very much underrated.
It took me years to watch Enterprise. When I finally watched it I kicked myself for not watching it. I really dig the refit and wish we could have seen it. The story ideas sounded amazing other than the Borg stuff. Well there's always Beta cannon. Great video brother.
Thanks, Donald! I have a bitter sweet feeling towards Enterprise. It took a bit too long to get going, but the love for the universe was clearly there. I appreciate what they did with it. Season five sounds ambitious, albeit a few issues with some of the concepts.
It was the same for me, but with the reboot series of the Battlestar Galactica. I refused to watch the series for years. Than this year I decided to give it ago by watching it on Amazon Prime Video. It had the complete series including the pilot episode. Well after watching the pilot I found myself liking it a lot. So I binged watched the series. I was saying to myself "Dam I hate it when I sometimes get to stubborn". LOL All because I thought they were doing a dis-service to the original series, from back in the 70's; which I was only a kid back then watching them when they originally aired. Oh well better late than never. :)
@@Gus-il4bx I'm glad you enjoyed BSG I love both of them. Have you finished it yet because I don't want to spoil it.
@@TheDuck632 Yes I finished the series. I was surprised how the finale episode ended. I was hoping that it would have been where they would find the Earth, from around our timeline/events and help them; but instead they went with this unique ending. Don't get me wrong I still liked the ending; I just didn't expect such an interesting twist.
@@Gus-il4bx dude I watched it on the first run I remember going into the bedroom where my wife was (she was my girlfriend at the time) crying saying Starbuck was an Angel. But the twists were great.
Hands up anyone who thinks there should be a Star Trek channel like the SyFy channel only better. Nothing but Trek. They'd have to invent new series expand older ones to flesh the channel out. I think it's a great idea, but that's just me. (so far) 🛸
As long as they don't let JJ Abrams anywhere near it.
There is it is on pluto tv.
Now that CBS and Paramount/Viacom are back together there is a channel, it is called Heroes and Icons, and they run Star Trek weeknights 8pm to 1am. TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT.
Anything would be better than the Sy-Fy channel. It totally sucks.
The answer to Trip was that he would never have died. “These are the Voyages” was written after it was announced the series was cancelled and was always meant to be the series finale. Season 4 would have ended in some other way had the series gone on.
Season 4 ended an episode before that one. That one was set 7 or 10 years in the future so it was the end off the series in total not just a season. Maybe Enterprise could be brought back in animated form.
@Future Society Of Gentlemen No argument. Berman and Braga insisted on writing that episode and excluded Manny Coto and the Reeves-Steven’s from its production. I always saw it as flipping the bird to the fans.
Enterprise was also one of my favorite series. Scott Bacula and Jolene Blalock. Excellent..
I enjoyed Enterprise and really did get into some of the characters, only thing I ever found wrong was that bloody theme song. Hope the show comes back
I still pretend the finale never happened
I always stop at Terra Prime when I rewatch.
Remember, that whole episode was a 'Holo-Simulation' with Riker and Troi. I always think that on the way out of the HoloDeck, Troi looks at the Computer Control Panel and says "Oh Will, you did it again: you ran the Simulation with the 'Randomized Facts' setting on!..."
Stephen Keebler
One commentator did a video stating how Riker as chef influenced crew decisions and made it not really a true account.
Season 4 was great but the last episode was really stupid.
@@davidabulafia7145
That’s the general consensus. As a standalone mid season episode without Trip’s death it might of worked.
I am sympathetic to the idea that Trip Tucker's death was simulated, so that he could join Section 31 for good.
Yes. Just like in the books.
Short of an Enterprise reunion, I'd love to see Jeffrey Combs make a recurring guest role on NCIS: New Orleans.
That would be cool!
Call Bakula a pink skin be a nice tongue in cheek easter egg.
Manny Coto...never given the full chance we all deserved to see him have.
Fricking Rick Berman
Berman and Braga killed the show. If they had turned over complete creative control to Manny sooner (he took over halfway through season 3) they might have gone on longer, but let's be honest fans were suffering from trek fatigue after 7 seasons of Voyager which to be honest dragged on for 3 seasons longer than it should have.
I love how he describes Shatner as playing "himself" when he means James T. Kirk. 🙃
Both are a$$hats 😂. I like Kirk after twok but in tmp he was a complete jacka$$ to Decker whom he recommended for the command of the new refitted ship. Demotes Decker. Pretty scumbag thing to do. Especially if we believe Decker was the son of Commodore Decker who inspired Kirk’s solution to the Doomsday device.
I would have loved seeing the Kzinti in “Kilkenny Cats”.
That's what I was going to say. I can't remember where I read it, but the Kzinti were supposed to make an appearance.
I certainly would have loved to see a season 5, 6 and 7.
I still enjoy Star Trek Enterprise. However I refuse to rewatch the last episode where Trip dies. That pissed me off! Lol
Trips death was faked in the book” the good men do” after season 4 ,so he could join section 31 to-get intel on the romulan wars::: that would have been cool
Enterprise at it's WORST is still 1000x better than STD...
It's DIS or DSC.
Christopher amen!
@Christopher, SO TRUE. You don't know what you got until it's gone (Enterprise). Discovery is kinda painful.
@@ransom182 its STD not DISCO or whatever they want to call it lol
@@purefoldnz3070 Agreed. "STD" follows the previous patterns like ST, STE, STTNG, STV, etc. Trying to call it DIS or DSC is incorrect, and clearly an attempt to revise history after realizing what STD stands for besides "Star Trek: Discovery". I would love enterprise would comeback with a mini series of the Romulan war
I truly enjoyed their short-lived series. It's a shame it was not allowed to continue.
even the most stupid episode of "Enterprise", that we got or would have gotten in a 5th season, wouldn't be nearly as a bad as we got since 2009.
This!!, No matter if people liked Enterprise or not at least it was true to what Star Trek is and stayed faithful to previous canon unlike the trash being put out now.
@@tarb1320 harsh word... but a welcomed one!
You have been taught well our young trekky apprentice!
Just when the show finally found its footing after the first two not so great seasons it gets cancelled midway through season 4. It's a real shame as Season 3/4 are some of my favorite Star Trek. Love Xindi arc, Shran, the 3 episode story arcs, and explaining why Klingons look human.
Klingons looking human really didn’t need explaining. Its same as assuming Chris Pine is Kirk in jj verse when he looks nothing like Shatner’s Kirk in prime
@@2bituser569 but it was an interesting and creative way to tie that plot hole up, just like Rogue One explained why the Death Star had a huge weakness in it.
Senior Woodz
I liked RO only Disnay SW’s I do like. Really the weakness is like many prototypes don’t have all the bugs worked out. I perceived RO’s primary explanation was to show how the plans were acquired.
T'Pol's inability to control her emotions was well established and accounted for in the show, we likely don't need any further explanation than we got....that being said, I am intrigued by the idea of her father being a Romulan spy, especially when we discovered how well infiltrated the Vulcan High Council was, it's not hard to imagine there being more. In my case, I was really, *really* looking forward to the Romulan War as referenced in the original series, where the combatants never saw one another in person for the entire duration... I was looking forward to seeing how they were going to handle that.... because if there ever *had* been an instance of that, to preserve the canon the witnesses would have had to die or never be heard from again (on Federation side obviously). Food for thoughts....
I hated the part that people seem to like the most-- the temporal war. I just don't see how that was supposed to be cannon. For me, that was the beginning of the end of Star Trek. The could have just gone straight into the Romulan war, and that would have made more sense. I enjoyed the episodes that outlined the history of Starfleet and the groundwork for what would be the Federation of Planets. But, 9/11 happened. It's like CBS was trying to use 9/11 to make Trek more popular. I was always uncomfortable about that. Trek was to escape to a better time. Sure, Trek wasn't loaded with action constantly, but it did have an in depth story. I miss that. I'm sad that people don't agree. Star Trek will only be a shadow of what it once was. It will now only resemble Star Trek the way it once was. Remember this: the original series was created on a tight budget with most of the set made of cardboard and balsa wood. Yet, they still enchanted the imaginations of a generation. TNG took that, added a higher budget, and made Star Trek into something even more fantastic. Now, they spend more money on the special effects than on the writers. I want my story back even if I have to go back to cardboard.
Those storylines were filmed out in advance of 9:11.01. By time 9/11/01 occurred the season 1 was mostly filmed.
People like the Temporal Cold War? Who? I love Enterprise, but even I see it as the weakest part of the show. The trouble is while Berman wanted to go backwards, the studio wanted to go forwards, and that was the compromise. Berman’s feeling, and I respect it, was that after Voyager, the tech was getting so advanced, it was making it harder to write compelling drama that the tech wouldn’t just fix and trash any sense of danger. That’s why he wanted to go backwards in the first place. The studio forced the Temporal Cold War on him. It was a mistake.
@@jasonschlierman412
I agree. So many people blame Enterprise failure on one or two things. Similar how the Studio screwed up trek V tff. Yet Shatner haters lay it all on his account.
@@2bituser569 Right. The thing is in the case of both Voyager and Enterprise, had Berman walked away, the studio was still going to put something out there. They were the ones that demanded new Trek, even when Berman told them to slow down. That was very much the case with Voyager. The studio made demands from a creative standpoint that kind of crippled the various shows. 100% Enterprise.
After TNG ended, the studio turned to Berman and wanted to know when the new Star Trek show was coming out. They had a new network they wanted to push. Berman told them to let DS9 exist on it's own for a while. The studio wasn't interested in that response. So, here came Star Trek: Voyager!
I'm personally happier that Rick Berman, the man I see as practically ordained by Gene Rodenberry, decided to stay and not let someone else do it. While his Trek wasn't always perfect, it was made with love and an attempt to keep the tone and feel of Trek the same. We've now seen what it looks like when people who don't understand the franchise or care to understand and just see it as a way to make a quick buck make Trek, and it's not pretty.
@@2bituser569 They won't do it, but I really wish the studio would hire Shatner to make his "Director's Cut" of Star Trek V. He's getting older, and who knows how much more time we have for him to do such a project. This franchise is so screwed up right now.
“These Are The Voyages” was written after they knew for sure that season 4 was going to be the last. They would not have had to deal with Tripp’s death because it would not have happened.
Not only a season 5 but 6, 7, 8 and so on. One of my favorit show. I was watching it again yesterday... I miss it now...
It’s been a long road... getting from there to here. :-(
We were seriously robbed of a great story arc with the Romulan War.
I think all the actors are still alive, do a season five now.
It's been talked about recently but apparently Blalock (T'Pol) has flat out refused to do it. She is more or less retired from acting. From what i understand the rest of the cast has stated they would be willing to do more seasons including Trineer (Trip) and Bakula (Archer) who was the most difficult to sign before the series premiered originally. It's a shame.
I think I would pay top dollar to see a fifth season happen. I really love this show, I'm actually rewatching it again, and I think it would've been great to see something about almost anything you mention, especially T'pol and the Romulan-Earth war.
Archers definitely in my top favorites captains
The heyday of this show, 2004, was a good time to live. I was 4 years old at the time and this was my childhood!

I seem to remember reading somewhere, can’t remember where but I know I read it, that Trip was supposed to live and his death faked. He was then supposed to be recruited into Section 31.
I love this version of Enterprise. I often replay it from the beginning.
The Trip storyline could've been handled the way the Relaunch novels did: set the Season 4 finale in 2156 and have Trip fake his death to become an undercover agent who'd infiltrated the Romulans
David Clear agreed.

I was unable to see Enterprise in it's original broadcast. I was finally able to catch it on Netflix. I like it. I'm on the second viewing of this great program. I would definitely would like a 5th season,
Definitely shouldn't do more Borg in Enterprise.

I second that motion!
For me this is the best series in the franchise. I've watched it twice! I would like them to make more seasons and even movies for the cinema!
🇧🇷
Yes, I would love for it to return.
Like Babylon 5 this show was under appreciated in its day. It isn't until recently where lots of people are now wanting to get on board of a ship that has already sailed. Unfortunately the orville will suffer the same cruel fate.
I read somewhere years ago that the studio didn't have faith in the show and they wanted all of the episodes to be self-contained one shots without season-long themes. They didn't get their way and started looking for excuses to pull the plug. Petty Hollywood stupidity.
I've been watching Trek since the 60s, but I was shocked at my wife's reaction to Enterprise. She had never watched a single episode but did enjoy the JJ Abrams movies as well as Ron Moore version of Battlestar Galactica and other space shows. I've always told her I thought she'd enjoy Star Trek since she liked other sci-fi movies and shows. One day, she said she wanted to try it out and I showed her a few select episodes of TOS. She kept having a lot of questions so I thought, the best way to help is to show her things in a more chronological order which meant that she needed to see the movie, "First Contact," and then move on to Enterprise. I realize there are episodes that predate both of these, but I thought that showing how things started with warp engines and Vulcans would help her get a solid footing for the canon. She has LOVED Enterprise (although, we're about to start watching the whole "space Nazis" season which is what I consider to be when Enterprise jumped the shark). Even with the shark jump, I still think there are some outstanding episodes here and there during the latter half of the series...especially the "In a Mirror, Darkly" episodes in the final season. Hopefully, she'll want to stay with it. This started off as a way to avoid the monotony that is living under the spectre of COVID19, but I'm hoping she'll eventually be as enamored of all the series and movies (except the fifth OS movie) as I am.
literally ANYTHING they could have done with a 5th season of Enterprise, would have been HEAPS better than the garbage that is currently being passed off as Star Trek.
AMEN!

Nah. The current stuff is pretty fantastic. Once we got past the rough first season of Discovery Season 1, all the new series are incredibly good. I feel sorry for anyone who is stuck on nostalgia and refuses to accept anything new.
@@johnchedsey1306 it has nothing to do with nostalgia, or refusal to accept something new... it's about the shows being lazy, poorly written, dumbed down crap, pretending to be Star Trek. @@numberyellow I'm a long time fan, in fact came over on the Mayflower (watched since episode 1 in 1966) and I like Discovery and Picard and look forward to the Captain Pike series. Is Discovery great? No, but I would put it above Voyager which I rank last of all the series.
I watched Enterprise from beginning to end last year during the first months of the pandemic.
A great show...underappreciated.
Personally, I liked Enterprise very much. Even if the first two seasons were not really great for various reasons. I liked the 3rd season and again, personally think that season 4 was Star Trek at its best. The various arcs really explained many things and were very enjoyable to watch.
I am afraid though that Star Trek currently will not find an audiance big enough to carry a show over multiple seasons. The makers are all aiming for very long running shows with way over 10 seasons. Ther could be a trek show running that long or even longer BUT the current PC climate and many "social" issues make it very complicated to approach the topics of "social development and political tollerance etc." Star Trek is famous for.
Sure I can hope, together with all of you.
Enterprise can IMO not come back but maybe there will be another ship or a pike series or even a Kelvin timeline series JUST as long as STD dies ASAP anything will be good.
STD needs to be scribed from our collective memories, but so does JJ Trek. Honestly, Trek needs a do over from everything from 2009 onward.
They dropped the ball on Enterprise ! This series was the BEGINNING OF THE WHOLE SAGA !
Had it continued, it could've challenged DS9 as my favorite Trek series.
I didn’t think it was all that bad at first, but it started getting genuinely good and it was an interesting premise in general. Wish there was more
If there had been a season 5 they final episode of season 4 would never have existed and Trip's death never would have happened.
Wasn't a huge fan of the show overall, but it certainly had some of my favorite Trek episodes. In A Mirror Darkly is freaking great!
I didn't know about most of this stuff. Nice work!
Hey, thank you. The power of the interwebs and pouring through interviews! :)
I loved Star Trek Enterprise. It was a great show. Great stories, great actors.
Pity, I like Enterprise
I really enjoyed your video, all of the ideas mentioned in your video I’m sure could be made possible, just needs a good screenplay. The one I like the most is about T’Pol’s father being Romulan, and we need more on a Romulan conflict. I know many people were upset with Enterprise as a show due to its lack of respect to canon, I think it was a great show, it ended prematurely. Thank you.
I really wasn't a Star trek fan until Enterprise was released. Because it was so different from the other series along with being a prequel it just resonated with me
I think they also mentioned in Season 5 we would have visited Denobula, that would have been fun.
The way I look at it is that if a season 5 had been made, the episode 'These Are the Voyages...' never would have existed. It was a rushed ending to the series that wouldn't have been necessary with a season 5 renewal. So with Trip presumably still alive in season 5, I would have loved to see the Trip/T'Pol relationship continue to develop (maybe even ending up in marriage).
I also would have loved to see an escalating conflict with the Romulans, eventually transitioning into all-out war by the end of the season. The season 5 finale could have been the Enterprise being faced down by, say, two or three Romulan warbirds and Archer saying "fire" right before the scene cuts away to a "To be continued..." screen. And then the season 6 premiere could have picked up with the Columbia or Shran swooping in to help the Enterprise just in the nick of time.
Oh man, I would have loved to see that Enterprise refit. I can even see it working with the story as a response to the war with the Romulans.
As for the Borg queen, I prefer the origin that was laid out for her in the Star Trek novels. I thought it was brilliant.
Which novels deal with Queen’s origin?
@@2bituser569 I'm going to put some space between these lines and my answer below because it's a major spoiler for the novels in question. It's something you might not see coming until it's revealed in the final book of this particular series. You've been warned.

For the Borg queen's origin, read the Destiny book series. It's a huge crossover event with characters from every classic Star Trek series except for TOS. Besides a general knowledge of every post-TOS classic Star Trek series, the only prerequisite I would suggest for Destiny is a season 4 Enterprise episode called Home. You'll see why that episode matters once you start reading the books.
You can find all three Destiny books collected in one volume here: www.amazon.com/Destiny-Complete-Night-Mortals-Souls-ebook/dp/B00AHE24ZS/
Yeah, what could have been... 😢
Lots of ideas still kicking around for a 5th season, would have been interesting to see which ones and how they would have implemented.
However, I think B&B would still have saved TATV for the series finale, no matter which season that ended up being. It is written in such a way that it can be tacked on anywhere and it was their "love letter to the fans" after all...
Bring it back. It was not as bad as everyone made out.
What annoys me is that, the child Paxton creates from T’Pal and Trip is that he explained it can’t not ever work, but they already know it can work with Lorian. Did they
No Plox later said that it was Paxtons incompetent scientific who botched the cloning resulting in premature death.
That last episode when we find out that it was just a holo deck simulation ... what a massive anticlimax
That was the work of Berman and Braga who overruled Manny Coto and came back to write that last episode as Berman's last hurrah (he retired in 2005). The cast was also extremely upset with it and you can see it in the episode as none of them were into the episode at all. This was the one occassion where the very professional Bakula (Archer) vented his frustration and anger towards Berman and Braga during rehearsals. It was so bad that Blalock actually broke down and cried backstage when she saw Bakula (she kinda admitted it later in an interview). It's no wonder shes all but stated she is unwilling to do a reboot.
I liked many things about Enterprise, but this is why "they" wrecked it
1. The producers wanted to to get more or an "edge". This is the same crap that has wrecked Batman.
2. The "Story Arcs" went on way too long and serious. (See number One).
3. The way they killed off Trip and had STNGen'ers around only shows their limited vision. Worst ending ever.
4. Archer always treated Flox like crap.
5. The Makos were crap!
6. The chip on Archer's shoulders got bigger every episode. Stop Sulking!
The idea that the Vulcan High Command was not as squeaky clean as portrayed was a great theme.
T'Pol and Trip were the best! T'Pol was the coolest under pressure character since Spock!
I enjoyed Enterprise. It fit in nicely with Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis on Scyfy back then. Haven't watched any of the Discovery or Picard, don't plan to. Still love that intro for Enterprise though. I've watched the series through twice since it was put on Netflix.
Shran Reveals himself as a Q and shifts between Brunt and other Characters.
You put Combs in ANYTHING and I will back it 100%. They guy is just such a great actor and voice actor. Loved him in Transformers Prime as Ratchet.
Can't Wait to Watch
Thanks, Blu. I really appreciate you checking in and supporting! :)
@@NaterTot No Prob.
@@NaterTot Do you have any tips on how to edit videos efficiently? I am struggling to find a groove with editing.
Damn... Is there no way to Kickstart a campaign for Enterprise Season 5? I want the Earth Romulan War on the BIG Screen!
I loved Enterprise then, and I love it now. Trip was my favorite character. Hated the final episode. Can we get rid of Deanna Troi, please?
Enterprise has such great characters. Dr. Phlox was my fave. Loved that character. Such great insight.
I sense you have animosity for Deanna. 🤣
Most of this is covered in the books. Deals with the Romulan War and the Founding of the Federation. Plus a little Section 31 thrown in. Absolutely worth a read.
If they brought it back for a 5th season now it would be "Woke" as hell and suck as bad as STD.
Enterprise was a really goodTREk and I would have loved to seen that fifth season. The Romulan War sounds really tasty
I appreciate Enterprise more after watching the shit they try to pass off as Star Trek today.
Enterprise aged very well. Definitely a shame that it was cancelled early.
Where and/or when has Season 5 of Enterprise been attempted? My idea would be to focus on characters....that's always a solid way to go.....with arcs focusing on the Romulan war....which could have been a much lighter version than the Dominion war. Also perhaps continue the exploration aspects as well....sort of like the Orville.
This series should have had a season 5 to really explore the beginnings of Starfleet and United Federation of Planets.
This is the best Star Trek since the Original, fantastic acting and story lines .wist it had 10 seasons .
Enterprise is my fav Star Trek series- partly because of it being a prequel and the necessity to align itself with Kirk and Spock's coming.
I would LOVE that! I loved the series, the characters, plot and storylines, and the ship. I thoroughly loved Enterprise.
Maybe another possibility could be Daniel coming back and saving trips life. If so we could see a good story line with T’pol and trip to see what could happen with Vulcan and humans
Well, the obvious answer is Trip would still be alive due to the fact that the final episode "These Are the Voyages..." was set 10 years after the beginning of the show. There would be several years between the episodes "Terra Prime" and "These Are the Voyages..." that could be explored.
