A lot of people here do not seem to know the meaning of "cameo" which is usually a brief appearance, often with extremely brief dialogue, of a RECOGNISABLE person well-known for a completely different reason. Example, Jsmes Osterberg (iggy Pop) was not a cameo, he had a speaking part, with aeveral scenes in which he was integral to the plot - he was a guest star. Ditto the unrecognisable Mick Fleetwood.
Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher) has a quick voice cameo in 2009's reboot, he's the Romulan who has the line 'Sir, that'll ignite the red matter'. So is this a thing. They took Christopher Lloyd's Klingon ship and used it to time travel. I'd have to look it up but wouldn't that be something if they used his ship and traveled back to 1985.

To see each of the cameos you mentioned, as well as ones that were not mentioned, is always something to look forward to. You mentioned several I did not know were in any of Star Trek, and some that I think we all knew had a small role. When you mentioned “What you leave behind” and all the people that were there that I didn’t know about, all I can say is that this series ending was the most heartfelt ending of any Star Trek series. And truthfully, it was the only one that kind of wrapped up what was going to happen to each character, aside from when would Captain Sisko return to his bride and their baby. You will always find me with tears in my eyes as the episode comes to a close….great stuff. I think I wold love revisiting DS9 now to see how everything turned out. Could be interesting.
Fun Fact about the Klingons in ST:TMP They were originally going to have a NEW ship, the D-10, which had the D-7 command pod but had a much beefier main hull and engine nacelles that were more tucked in on shorter wing struts. Because of the new makeup on the Klingons, though, it was decided to go with the D-7M (K'T'inga) for the sake of continuity. A former friend of mine, at an auction, actually purchased the ACTUAL D-10 model that Paramount was going to use! It was 3 feet long, had fully functional lights, and still had its mounting points supposedly for use in a blue screen filming gantry.

Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher) has a quick voice cameo in 2009's reboot, he's the Romulan who has the line 'Sir, that'll ignite the red matter'. Also Paul McGillion as the guy-with-clipboard who won't let them board the Enterprise. He was Dr Carson Beckett in Stargate Atlantis. Sulu's husband in ST:Beyond was Pegg's co-writer on the movie, Doug Jung.
We always need these kinds of shows.
Mae Jemison a real astronaut was also on and of course my favorite the King of Jordan well he was a prince then
John Larroquette in Star Trek III The Search for Spock
So is this a thing. They took Christopher Lloyd's Klingon ship and used it to time travel. I'd have to look it up but wouldn't that be something if they used his ship and traveled back to 1985.
They did travel back to 1985 that's the point
Funny thing is I still remember him not from Star Trek although I knew he played in it but rather from Buck Rogers in the 25th century where he played an ambassador who literally takes off his head to get them to where they’re supposed to be have holding the meeting and who has a romance, with Bucks lady friend and I don’t know if you call her a friend with benefits his lady friend if you will , Wilma. I always found him an actor worth watching.
Kelsey Grammar in Cause and Effect and the actress who played Lilith in Cheers (Don't know name) in TNG episode First Contact.
Bebe Nuerth, I think...
Bebe Neuwirth
There is this new thing called Google that would have given you her name.
For all we know Sean will have a walk on part in Lower Decks season 3. I know if I were an animator for the show I'd draw him into the background along with my dad.
When i saw iggy pop first time i was like wtf? Iggy pop? Thats iggy pop? Lol
The bad guy from Beverly hill cop 3 is the commander/ datas first officer
Ethan Phillips aka Neelix got an uncredited speaking cameo as a holographic bouncer who confronted the Borg in First Contact. He wasn't wearing any makeup prosthetics but, his voice is un mistakable.
Robert Picardo was also in it as the Enterprise's EMH. "I'm a doctor, not a doorstop."
was it uncredited? strage because that one I knew. Now you mention uncredited I am thinking how they hell did i know that lol
@@willvgo2950 yes loved that one, great hommage to deforrest kelley
Oh… The Rock was on Voyager too.
One of my favorites: in the TNG episode Gambit II, the Klingon pilot Koral is played by none other than NBA Hall of Famer James Worthy.
At 6’9” (2.057 m), Koral is the tallest Klingon ever shown on screen.
Teri Hatcher was also on TNG. As well as Doogie Howser’s Lucy Boryer as ENSIGN Janeway.
In the 2009 "Star Trek" movie, W Morgan Sheppard also had a cameo as the Vulcan Science Minister. I believe that was his last Star Trek role.
How can Bezos like Trek? Every episode is pretty much telling him what an awful person he is.
I can't believe I missed Tom Morello in Voyager!!
Im amazed that every background character in the shows isnt a famous person that wanted to be in an episode...
All good things is the best episode that is a finale, but what you leave behind is the best finale.
Probably been bought up loads, but there’s an episode of voyager that Dwayne Johnson appears in, season 6 episode 15
What about James Worthy in TNG?
I need to go watch the Vic's lounge scene from the finale now.
About 2 years ago i rewatched all of Voyager. When Tom Morello popped up, it threw me for a few minutes. And I had watched the original episode 20 years ago. It took me a moment to go oh yeah, he had a small cameo. I was almost as surprised recently as I was the first time because I had forgotten all about it. I know he was a huge Trekkie, so he talked his way into a cameo.
You cheered me up so much with the tribble version of you with the noise, it was perfect. Thank you ❤️
The reason harve Bennett character was called "admiral bob" was because this was the nickname for Robert a heinlein, a major influence on a large numbers of people in sci-fi and space work
Umm...Sean? It's the transporter room Scotty's heading for, not the main bridge. Just saying 😎
A thanks to Sean Ferrick and all contributers of additional cameos. Such a fun.
And don't forget Vincent Schiavelli, Sir John Neville (as Isaac Newton) and Prof. Stephen Hawkins (as himself - him being a *monster* Trekkie)
In the original Series their were a few big stars who appeared in a few episodes. A Piece of the Action, what are little girls made of, Apollo, and a few others too.
Wil Wheaton in Star Trek 2009 is a voiceover for a Romulan when Nero orders that Spock’s ship be destroyed , Wheaton is the Romulan voice (not actor) you hear say “but sir if we fire and ignite the red matter the ship will ….” Nero interrupts saying I want Spock dead now !
Wasn't Fleetwood in "The Running Man" too? Where his line, iirc, is "Beam me up, Scotty"(when they finally hack the feed and show the truth to everyone). lol
The owner/runner of the locally ran Star Trek Set Museum Tour in Ticonderoga, James Cawley appeared in Star Trek 2009.
