Tan's Huge Trees are super fun, but make sure you don't have too many other mods if you don't have a good computer because the trees render after the world does so it isn't post-generation and lowers fps when they spawn. (This was at least true for the 1.16.5 version I tried awhile ago)
@@Thomas-zx3cc leaf culling in general helps, but the generation of the trees is hundreds if not thousands of blocks of wood it it isn't precisely the leaves, but the amount of wood getting placed.
Incredible how Minecraft is one of the most relevant games of all time, yet concise and thorough mod showcases like this are still rare. All the yelling, clickbait, filler, pointless editing or lack of editing, overly long or just annoying mod showcases still seem to be the norm. Makes finding a video / channel like this all the more rewarding though. Great job man.
Terralith is also compatible with Tectonic, thanks to Tectonic's developer. If you have both of them installed, then a datapack included with Tectonic called "Terratonic" gets automatically enabled. I'd say that combination provides the best world generation for 1.19.4
that would make up for tectonics lack of terrain variety... i try combining this with oh the biomes youll go abroria and wilder wilds. I wonder how it'll look
ive had a lot of fun playing in a world using this, however structures like villages keep carving into the landmass in a glitchy looking way. it is really beautiful and vast yes, but if you care about structures then make sure the seed youre using isnt garbled like mine was before i invested too much time into it.
12:00 Terralith is also compatible with William Wythers' mod if you enable the compatibility mode for WWOO. So you can actually use the top two spots from this video together if you wanted.
@@flintloco2818 You will need to have TerraBlender and Mod Menu installed. Then when you go to the mod settings for WWOO, you'll have option to choose between standard and compatibility mode.

Great video!! Really appreciate how you not only showed off the terrain of each mod but also compared them. Definitely helps on deciding which one to choose. Again, amazing work!
I just managed to get Terralith, Tectonic, Oh The Bioms You'll Go, and WWOO (or WWEE to be precise) to work together in a fabric pack. I also slapped ChoiceTheorem's Overhauled Village on top for good measure. Oh boooooy I can't wait for the weekend to take it for a spin.
One reason I prefer WWOO over Terralith is how it overhauls the vanilla biomes to give them more detail, and that the trees feel more grand. Makes walking through forests a lot more interesting.
These mods look great. It's too bad that 1.19 did not live up to those standards. Not that it was a bad update, but the sheer amount of content in each mod blows it away in comparison to what it should have been. At least we have the mods themselves to imagine what could have been.
It is tough to play with Terralith in the early game cuz of generation, because of weird biomes like the forest between badlands and volcano 11:24 which make it hard to build some plans for your survival and it is hard to find some good places to build your house. It's a huge reason to make William a 1 place, it is a really clean not overloaded generation which makes game looks fabulous. William is not compatible with some mods (like Tech Reborn which added a new tree) but it is still the best one I ever played
I agree william would be No.1 but can it be combined with ecotones? I like th subtle details in ectones and it could be wonderful with william terrain gen
I honestly always felt like these grand scale world generation mods are more to be looked at than to be played at, cuz everything is so huge and awkward to control to fit your needs, if you decide to make a big build that could take a lot of time, with some of those mods could take even more time, I don't know if I just haven't found the mod that feeds my desires, am being just annoying or just don't have the computer to play with them and say that I don't like it. I feel like I would prefer a mod that doesn't add a crazy ammount of blocks just to make a new biome, something that uses what already exists, and it doesn't change absolutly everything with crazy new grand biomes, just some new features, enough for me to want to explore it, not too many to make me feel small and overwhelmed.
Your distress about these mods is very understandable Personally I would use a mix of smaller worldgen mods and mix and match them Or you could use biomes O plenty or Oh the biomes you'll go as most of the biomes are very survival friendly Of course the previous 2 adds a lot of blocks but imo it's pretty manageable as most of it is just foliage and decor blocks
Terralith doesn’t add any new blocks, but there is a massive overhaul in biomes and terrain. You could try Red’s Better Biomes, it’s the most vanilla friendly biome mod I’ve found so far. It only overhauls the vanilla biomes without adding any new blocks or biomes. You’ll get more ground cover, better trees, and more detailed biomes.
Imagine slapping these all into one big Mod Pack and slapping a few other Mod packs on top of that, including the Emersive Dimensions Mod and a mod pack that adds in multiple dimensions as well a mod pack that adds in more structures and larger villages and all that and your in for quite one big Adventuress ride! I'd love to see all these Mods in one Mod pack just to see what would generate as a result!
I absolutely love all of these generation mods! The new generation got me back in the game with caves and cliffs. I have an idea of a few mods that would make the game perfect for me, but I just don’t have a computer capable and I don’t actually know how to add mods. Tectonic can be used with Terralith. It is supposed to work with the 2 mod versions but for me Tectonic biomes wouldn't appear. I used Terratonic with Terralith datapack version and it works. All that on Forge 1.18.2
Tectonic on 1.18.2 is fairly broken. Especially with mods. They aren't supporting it anymore, and the 2.0 update that fixes a lot of stuff is only in 1.19+.
While I like mountains, I usually have these issues with most world gen mods. It's like, the mountains are too much all over the world. Which makes them feel less special or significant in comparison to pre 1.17 world gen. Like I remember how they were straight up landmarks for me and my friends and how hills were hills, and maybe if too much, they were still cool and made the mountains look imposing. Also, another issue is how the old windswept hills cease to appear or appear much in most mods while in vanilla all biomes have smaller versions of them which aren't really up to standard. It genuinely reminded me of home so much when they were by the beach side. A mountainous desolate elevated plains basically. And now when I search for a fix to the lacking modern world gen none of them appear. So what I'm trying to do is ask which of these mods generate enough lowlands, lakes (or upper mountain lakes, also a lot like home! Haha), beaches, midlands and clears between tree lines. Preferably on the more realistic side but the fantasy ones don't look bad at all!
Which of those would you say comes closest to Wildlands (mostly for its diversity in biomes and closeness to reality)?
