Cool guitar, wouldn't mind having one. The body is not bound, that's the maple cap you are seeing. The neck is bound though, looks great like that. I may end up getting one of those but I want jumbo ss frets installed. Cool video!

You are correct about the body not being bound! With that color and the way that it hides the binding on the neck I could’ve sworn I saw a binding seam on the body as well!
Still a heck of a guitar though! But my apologies, regardless lol thank you!

Put some ‘61 Burstbuckers in there, and it would sound much better.

I've been playing one of these for the last month or so and truly it has become my favorite guitar. The sound is great and the neck feels great. I have strats, teles, Yamahas, and this has become my go to as it is extremely versatile as well.

Now that Gibson released an “old school” Studio at a cheaper price that has neck binding, I wonder if they’ll do a mild update of the Modern Studio (basically just adding neck binding too)? Or maybe change the binding from black to something that is visible. Why spend the time to add binding if literally nobody can see it?

Because your not seeing binding. That seam is where the ebony meets the mahogany, just like the maple cap on the body. Actual binding would add upwards of another 3-400 dollars or more depending on how many plies. You can plainly see it on the wine colored ones.

what happened to the sound of the amp?

the whole reason the humbucker was invented is because of how noisy the p90 pickups were. the fact that you never ever talk about how noisy the giutar is or isn't. ...leads me to believe that someone told you "nomatter what, do not talk about how insanely noisy the guitar is"

My smokehouse 2024 studio is an absolute beauty. The sound is
Fine and needed no improvement at all. It's stunning. This finish is ugly.

    The body is not bound.

Honest mistake. It looks like it is because of the maple cap, paired with how subtle the neck binding is.

After checking the specs, turns out you are correct! Our apologies. In our defense, the neck binding is hidden very well and you kind of have to judge the paint lines, etc. Still a bound neck as standard equipment on these Studios feels fantastic!

"Is This The Perfect Les Paul Studio?". No. It might be the worst studio ever made. The new 2024 studio is amazing, however.
