Love this! Implementing regular family meetings to discuss emotions and challenges can help build a supportive environment. For example, families that practice active listening and empathy tend to navigate adversity more effectively. This practice can create a foundation of trust and resilience.

@@generomaguera I agree because regular family meetings can foster open communication, allowing everyone to express their thoughts and feelings. This practice builds trust and strengthens relationships by addressing concerns before they become bigger problems. It creates a supportive environment where issues can be resolved collaboratively.

True! Seeking therapy, self-care and support groups does help. Although many parents, despite their best intentions may unintentionally show favoritism toward one child over another. this can also signficantly impact parental styles. @silviathompson-francis1032

Parenthood is the reflection of our childhood indeed. Parenthood tends to reflect our very experiences and nurture that make us behave in a certain way while parenting and raising our children. It makes one revisit one's own childhood, picking lessons from it and trying to raise the next generation in a good environment.

Parenting reflects our childhood. We learn from our past to create better spaces for our kids. How can we break toxic cycles and build a positive environment for them?

There are several common adversities from childhood which comprise neglect, parental substance misuse abuse or domestic violence that can have adverse effects on future parenting as a result of reinforcing damaging cycles or habits which require breaking them by undergoing some counseling, getting trained on how to raise kids without harming them at school than adopting an approach towards taking good care of one’s children.

@@romnickmepico4882 There are 4 parenting styles and I think the best one is the Authoritative style. It creates positive relationship and enforce healthy rules both in parents and children.
