In this weeks episode we meet Garry, who has constructed a spectacular, architecturally designed cabin in Twizel, New Zealand. This cabin was designed in collaboration between Garry and his architect, Barry Connor.
This cabin is absolutely loaded with brilliant design. From the striking exterior designed to nestle the home into the landscape, through to the stunning cozy interior with wonderful windows that perfectly frame the exterior environment. This cabin is unquestionably home to some truly great design.

Now this is a cabin! We absolutely loved our stay here. The landscape is so dramatic and the Skylark Cabin is perfectly designed to take full advantage of the wonderful views. That hot tub under the stars really is something very special! Rasa and I had a really great time filming this place, especially branching out to experiment with some astrophotography too! As a Kiwi (happily) living in Australia... the strong visual impact of my mother country’s rugged landscape serve to remind me how beautiful the South Island is and how I miss that daily rugged beauty. And what a beautiful house and the night sky is without a doubt immense and wonderful.... serving to remind us that we human’s represent just an infinitely small speck in the cosmos.

This is my favorite Tiny House so far ... so beautiful and the scenery is to die for. Im jealous!
What is really impressing to me about this place is that is carries a strong masculine energy without feeling unomfortable or cold. Especially the bathroom was a really unique and well executed choice when it comes to the design.
unique and well designed yes, but black fixtures are everything but practical. every drop of water leaves chalk marks behind, so you have to constantly clean them.

Twizel ... unreal. The first home area of my eldest sister and her hubby some 50 yrs ago; and here I am watching the same glorious landscape from my home in Aussie. What a gloriously beautiful home Gary has built. Love its design & colours.
I really liked Gary's demeanour and respect for the natural setting. Interesting to learn that he came from a corporate background and left behind that stress. Now he's created an amazing oasis of calm and beauty for others to experience. Really heartwarming!
This house is in harmony with the nature that surrounds it to an extent that we can only say, "It could not be more beautiful than it was."
Only watch LBTH in the morning, in the spring, the chime song at the end will become very nostalgic, and fill you with new beginnings every time you hear it.

This is absolutely incredible. The best tiny house of all that I have seen from Bryce. The black color is absolutely stunning and I am so glad Garry chose to continue that color scheme on the inside. And the landscape is fantastic. Wow!!! Kudos!
I really like everything about this house. It's simple, beautiful, the land is still in its natural state (bonus), the mountain and the sky views. I love trees, but I know I could happily make my home there and be equally happy. Well done!

Now with this pandemic and everything going on, it's very refreshing to see your content with the stunning tiny houses, amazing landscapes of New Zealand and your absolutely pleasant and enthusiastic presentation. Also, the videography is top-notch. Even though tiny houses are almost non-existent in India, this channel and many other programs like tiny house nation have encouraged me to rethink my priorities and completely revolutionised my idea of a perfect home... !! Even though I have been following you for a very long time, this is the first time I am commenting here because with this pandemic and everything, things just look so bleak and this channel gives me hope and positivity that's important to keep myself going in these tough times.

Not sure if that area was close to where Rohan was shot, but it sure does give me that feel when I look at it. I'd love to ride a horse through those fields and then come back to the cabin for a calm and quiet rest under the stars.
I had a similar thought, though I was thinking more about Minis Tirith and the battle of Pelennor Fields. As it turns out, this tiny house is actually located just south of that location. I wouldn't even be surprised if some are the same mountains that made it into the film.

This is an incredible home! I’m not the only viewer hoping for a relaxation of NZ travel rules soon, so we can book ourselves a stay at this house before they move into it full time!
Now that's living holistically with nature & self. Just watching this video I immediately felt ad if I were in a safe warm cozy nest. The home married with the incredible landscape just enraptures you like a crysallis.
The owner has such a genuine "poker-face" hardly any expression if it were me I'd be bouncing off the walls with excitement & pride. It's really fascinating how personalities & expressions defer despite experiencing the same thing.

I immediately thought of this home when seeing the one with the older couple with the incredible view of the Western coast. I saw an online article. It is one of, for me, one of the most beautiful I've ever seen.

I'm curious how the Architect did the roof? That larch cladding runs cleanly up the walls with hidden gutters, lovely detail.
