Will Breath of the Wild 4K be the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe of Nintendo Switch 2? Also Merry Christmas next upload will be after Dec 26th unless we get that rumored Dec 25th Switch 2 Leak!
Breath of the Wild is my favourite Zelda game ever, but it suffered from frame drops in certain areas so beside 4k and maybe other graphical stuff that would be nice I just want it to be like more stable 60fps!
I really hope we get that official Switch 2 reveal in January and that its release is by May. I feel like we’ve been waiting for the last 2-3 years for a reveal of this next gen system
I don't think Nintendo needs to rush things this way. Why remaster a 7 year old game when you already have a sequel of less than two years ago? There's Mario Kart, a new Mario 3D game, Metroid, new Pokemon ... there's plenty of heavy hitters on the way, so I think Nintendo doesn't need a BOTW remaster right now. Maybe in 2027, but doing it now is burning the candle too fast. The OG game sold more than 32 million copies; I wonder what percentage of those people would want to play in the same Hyrule for the third time. Keep in mind that the UA-cam community is not representative of the majority of gamers (hardcore and casual)
For multi oriented games like Mario Kart it can work as we saw but for an open world single player game... Highly doubtful. But It can't hurt to have it I guess
I honestly feel like you would sell more copies of birth the wild HD. If you released wind Waker, and twilight princess. Because then you’re older audience would see that you still care about them. Thus they would buy the HD version of birth of the wild. But that’s just me. That’s what would encourage my purchase, but I guess it’s not gonna happen.
Replaying BOTW in 4K UHD with all the DLC included would be worth it for me, and will hold me over until a brand new Zelda game. I could say the same for Metroid, but I can't help but think that Prime 4 will be multigenerational like BOTW was. We'll see...!
I’m sorry but Totk is completely different than botw and master mode changes it a lot. You only replay it once with master mode but it’s still way different. So no we didn’t replay it with totk.

All I can say is that I am glad the the switch 2 will be able to play the old switches games because I can play Xenoblade Chronicles X on the switch 2 as well. Zelda breath of the wild on the switch 2 will be absolutely insane🎉 and also revisiting The Witcher and the elder scrolls on the switch to will be amazing to be able to play these games on the go in 4k or in better Fidelity in HD.
I have to say. I probably played through Breath of the Wild four times. Once on the Wii U, and three times on the Switch. I have yet to feel the desire to replay Tears of the Kingdom at all. But I’d definitely get a remastered BotW, especially if they give us some kind of bonus content!
Interesting. After playing totk I have no desire to ever replay botw, it's the same game but with less content and mechanics. Legendary game but now obsolete.
Theory: Since the console is gonna be called Nintendo switch 2, Nintendo might be also working on a OLED version of the Switch 2 at the same time so when it might be announced they will show the Switch 2 and the Switch 2 OLED, just like switch 1 and switch 1 OLED except Switch 1 OLED got released later on but this time the Switch 2 and Switch 2 OLED might be revealed/announced together.
MP4 is also a demo of the concept, with a futuristic style that fits very well for a demo of the power of the Switch 2, with more "show off" FX than the quiet and poetic BOTW. Moreover BOTW is a >30 millions game, when MK8 was a >9 millions game. I think BOTW 4K come a little later in the year, the first games have to avoid the "oh it's only old games" effect day one of the launch
BotW in 4k would be fantastic for the Switch 2 along with Mario Kart 9 and a new 3D Mario. These three franchises are the "killer apps" for Nintendo, the system sellers. Launching Switch 2 with these 3 together will unleash the same momentous, cataclysmic event upon the gaming world that we saw in 2017. I can't wait.
I think if they want to re-release it, they either have to make some big improvements to the story and dungeons (making the main quest in each region longer and more interesting) or combine it with totk in a massive 2 in 1 game
Don't really get the comparison, wouldn't a remake of Ocarina of Time be more like the Final Fantasy 7 one? Just putting a DLSS skin over BOTW is lazy.
I'd rather they remaster TotK. It's a much better game than BotW overall, makes the latter feel like a tech demo, like many have said. BotW is brilliant, TotK is just much better.
I'm not interested in a 4k BotW but I'd buy it just for collection purposes. If other people want it, great, I've already played through it 5 times and I'm not someone who gives AF about frame rates or graphics but I know a lot of people do so I'm sure it will sell well.
TotK would be a smarter candidate for that, since it would open the door to DLC. I know what they said about not wanting to do DLC for it, but minds can change.
I actually never finished BotW's story, even though I put probably 30-40 hours into it. And I never even started TotK. So I would welcome a remaster of either one, or both!
Imagine if they used Heart Pieces in Botw and Totk as a reward for exploring the world. It would make every replay more fun since you know that 80% of the world has no meaningful rewards. So while playing again you know that most areas are not worth exploring because there are 0 rewards for doing it. Heart pieces would change that easily
Would consider buying if there would be an EX/easy mode where you can toggle things like weapon durability and damage. This would make them more non-gamer friendly. Maybe if it's a bundle combining BotW & TotK with some extra content.
dlss is not magic and for sure it is not free 💀 i mean a switch game as is could be surly be upscaled to 4k, just dont expect it to have some advanced features like RT
I got Botw on the Wii U because I wasn't able to get a Switch yet, but I got it again on the Switch. I won't buy it a 3rd time unless it has way more content compared to the previous versions. It would have to have something like a new playable story in the past or adding a second quest that takes place right after you save Hyrule.
Breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom are going to look better on the switch 2, but the only remake coming for the switch 2 concerning the legend of Zelda will be Ocarina of time.
I hope they just upscale the original game ... Not port it...switch 2 is already backwards compatible and can play it natively... Make a new game that shows off the switch's hardware from the ground up Just make it to where switch games get ola boost on the switch 2
