Excellent playing !! How Jerry Reed used to come up with this stuff even he didnt know. Jerry always wrote incredibly complex but lighthearted and fun songs mixed with a stroke pure genius.
I played rock and metal most of the time. I don't even play classical. But when I started playing finger styles and get into folk songs, the feeling of those base alternating and putting solo at the same time make me flying high. Can't get enough of it. I'm not sure people are gonna like it or not while listening, but playing is beyond pleasure. This is very nice cover. Thanks for the upload.
Likely the best Strutting you wil ever hear ..how did Jerry ever come up with those beautiful finger style chords That was. Amazing The HD 35 sounded fantastic
Possibly the best cover of this piece that I have heard. And the only one that nails that tricky bit at 1:57 (I don't mean the run but the landing on that chord while keeping the groove so that it starts again without skipping a nanobeat. Those familiar with that piece will know what I mean) . Bravo!
ludovico, two question s: model of Martín? -i am sure you have several acustic guitars... i doubt between buying a. Martín or a Taylor (f ex 614 CE, 714...) My style is with pick, soloing, blues. ANY advice?... (open to everybody) thanks! (BY the way...great playing!!!)
Pablo Pérez hi! And sorry for the delay... I don’t have several acoustic guitars actually, just this HD-35 and a DC-16. I am pretty old style and love Martin & Gibson acoustic guitars which are both awesome for blues. I am not crazy about Taylor or Maton for example but it’s just personal taste. You should try as many as you can and find out the one that feels like home to you... :-)
I play guitar since decades and there are some nice things I'm able to do on it but listening to this makes me envious. Great fun to listen and watch! It's so smooth and tasteful. And the Martin sounds great.
I’m not a fingestyle player too, it’s something I do now and then... I haven’t played this kind of fingerstyle for a while now and I am pretty sure I would suck if I played this tune right now. This kind of playing is basically a matter of repetition till the fingers go by themselves and everything starts to flow. So, keep going man and don’t look at it like something too difficult. Take a song you like, learn it slowly one section at a time and keep keep playing it. As they say, repetition makes perfect! That’s the only advice I can give... but really, it’s not like learning a different language for improvisation. Don’t give up! 😉 Oh, and thank you so much for your nice words!
@@ludocipriani your very welcome ..I wanna learn strutting by Jerry reed...I wish his videos all the time...what's funny I can play alot of tunes that to me are not hard but very hard for others...but I have been teaching my self ...travis picking ...kinda got it ..but need more work..
Best Struttin cover i've heard so far, actually prefer this to Tommy Emmanuels version even, as he can be a little over the top sometimes, but hey when your the best accoustic guitarist on the planet the rest have to follow you, thank you Ludovico you're finger picking skills are impressive.
