THANK YOU for the specifying which Springfield is involved with this storm!! (Illinois vs Missouri), I know that there are dozens of things you're tracking but it really does help with confusion. My family didn't get power back for 19 days. Again, thank you Ryan!

Millions without power, over 600,000 displaced deaths injuries. Ice was 4 inches thick. It actually started to form on the 4th of January and didn’t stop until January 10th. Take it seriously. Be careful with heating. This was the cause of many that died. Carbon monoxide. Thinking of all of you and praying you are all safe through this storm. An Ice Storm survivor.

Prayers for everyone in the path of this.....God keep you and the animals safe
Thank you Ryan for your continued service on this storm! From watching hurricane update videos to winter storm updates, you truly nail it everytime. Much love, Ryan! ❤
Thanks for all you do, Ryan!! Cincinnati is ready. I went to Kroger to get all my groceries in the early afternoon and got eveything and was out quickly. I forgot wood for the fireplace and went up around 5 pm to get some. There were no shopping carts. People were following individuals out to the parking lot to take their carts after their shopping was done. I have never seen anything like it!!
I am praying for everyone in the path of the storm to be safe and well. Especially, those in the path of where the hurricanes hit who are in tents. I pray they are missed entirely.
Side note: Every person I ran into in the store I stopped and told them they needed to follow you and why. I showed them your page directly on UA-cam. I am happy to report almost everyone subscribed. I am very happy I can do PR for your page. You will save lives.
Michigander here. Pretty typical weather for us here in Michigan. Y’all will be alright. Get gas for the generator and a shovel.
@@Mr.Kaladin To be fair, typical for you but rare for us. Your infrastructure, road crews and utility crews expect this kind of thing and pre-prepare for it. Ours really don't, especially in Louisville. Folks aren't used to this here, and they underestimate the dangers. Michigan is very, very different than where I am in Kentucky. I do agree most will be alright, but there are genuine concerns here, as we have seen this kind of storm in 2009 and that was a nightmare for us.
@@American-Jellooh sure sure. I meant pretty typical weather for us here. It’s like tornadoes for yall. Or hurricanes for Florida. Everyone gets used to their local weather but just trying to provide context for some of the doomers on here acting like millions are in danger. Just a little snow and ice. Most will be snowed in a day or two or without power but it’ll be alright for most people who prepare
I work at a Kroger in the Paducah, KY area. And the parking lot yesterday and today have been completely full from open to close!!
We need to share info, especially with the colder weather shifting south. (Even state D.O.T. could share info.)
Ryan provides better weather forecasts and current conditions than my local stations. His predictions are more precise and thorough as well. The man takes pleasure in his weather knowledge.
I don't watch local weather and haven't for almost 2 years because this guy is so much better than any local weather person we have here in PA. Keep up the outstanding work and you are appreciated for what you do
I’m in PA and also can’t understand why our local weatherman gets it wrong so often.
I am in western PA. Weather reports on TV an afterthought. Quick and outta there. No time
I haven't seen local weather since 2016 when I had all my tvs cut off. Don't miss it one bit
Think you're kinda 🚰 the coolaide?

RIP to local news
Only when something in my town happens, so maybe 2-3 times a month...I just follow Rayn everyday!!!
My TV after six months went back in the box where it's been for six years.
I don't but I heard forcast on the car radio today...I watch Ryan because he is spot on... local weather is saying it is still 31° here (I live lake front) and my gages are all saying 21° but even up town the car temp said 22° Must be lake effect or something?
I trust CNN too report my weather.

Lots of people still displaced and without power and heat in NC and TN after Helene. Praying they make it through this. 🙏

i agree, just wish he'd mention southern New England once in a while, then again, pretty safe here, so I get it.
Hope the homeless people, cats and dogs stay warm in the weather, ryan hall i like watching your weather updates,
I-75 had been packed in certain areas as holiday travelers make their way home. We hightailed it out of Orlando yesterday and got as far as Marietta, Georgia. Back-ups added at least 3 hours to our trip.
Now we are in the home stretch for Cincinnati! Gonna get to grocery store and prepare! Ryan - you are keeping us all safe! ❤
Wow! Used to take that trip all the time when my sister was alive, tho I would go left to Illinois. Sounds like it has gotten insane.

Things like this are even more stressful when you have a loved one who is dependent on electricity for medical treatments in order to survive. Stay safe everyone. Check on your neighbors and work together if you can. Help those who are going without. Love each other!
People can sometimes get a grant for a generator. At minimum will need batteries for backup, and a safety plan for relocation if it's more than a few hours.
@marywiggins7411 I've tried looking into help. I haven't been able to find any. I had some money saved and was so close to having enough to purchase one, and my bank account got hacked on 12/30.... $3,900 stolen and my bank has been no help. I feel like every bit of hope I had is just gone.

Hey Ryan. Don't worry about these yahoos in the comments who say not to title your videos or use the word "bad". Prayers for everyone this system is going to hit. I watch and trust Ryan more than my local weatherman for sure. Thank you Ryan.
Thank you for giving me a heads-up days before this hits. Now all I can do is sit back and watch. Im prepared and aware.
THANK YOU for the specifying which Springfield is involved with this storm!! (Illinois vs Missouri), I know that there are dozens of things you're tracking but it really does help with confusion. A lot of people in SWMO are watching these weather reports while remembering the nasty ice storm that the Ozarks got back in January 2007. Over 1.5 inches of ice covered the city and region, making area lose power for over two weeks. It even required the National Guard to help people get a hold of basic needs. My family didn't get power back for 19 days.
Again, thank you Ryan!
Been thru 2 ice storms in my life, one in Delaware in the early 90's and one in S. Carolina in 2014! Both scared the hell out of me mixed with lack of electricity was terrible 😢 god bless those poor ppl that are homeless
"Snowmageddon" in Texas a few years ago was awful... PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY AND BE PREPARED!
It's wa sonly like that in Texas because Texans didn't think cold weather would ever effect them. Otherwise this is just another day for Michigan
That’s right; do not depend on the grid!
The ice storm of 98 happened on January 5th 25 years ago. It affected south-Eastern Ontario, south-western Quebec and the North eastern US states.

I need advice! Please! I only get 3 sick days a year, they just restarted so I get three from January 2025 until December 2025. I live in Augusta County Virginia, we are supposed to see between 3 to 8 inches of snow. My work is about 12 minutes away from home, there’s a few hills I have to go up. I have a Toyota echo, it has just regular normal tires no chains. I will go in at 5 PM Sunday, I won’t leave work until Monday at 5 AM. I am night shift. I have been asking everybody, I’ve gotten back like no real feedback. Should I use one of those sick days and call in Sunday, or should I be fine going in Sunday evening? I don’t know what to do 😭

Keeping up with the weather forecast with Ryan Hall and Max VeloCity. Already filled up the bird feeders. Really don't know what is going to happen around Branson/Forsyth area in Missouri, but will have to wait and see.
