I expected him to be married to either a blonde gramour girl like Farrah Fawcett or a trophy wife like heiress / actress Dina Merrill. I was surprised that his wife was a regular type non glamourous wife and they seemed like the average long married middle aged couple .

In 1978 I was 24 years old, was just divorced from my second wife. I was bored with my job, so I bought a 74 Freightliner Cabover and went long-haul trucking across America.
This was always the most fun game show for me to watch. I wonder what would happen if they had a new show "Old and Married" or something, and brought back some of the couples from the Newly Wed Game, that are still alive and married. lol

Neither of my ex-wives expressed much of an interest in travel… Since I started my solo international travels, I’ve found that the world is best experienced in its transitions…. The cold of early morning changing to the crispness of the air at dawn, the shadows long and bright and in motion as the sun begins to fill the horizon. Most people are still asleep, choosing to join all the others once the shops are open and the lines beckon them. That’s my time to nap. They can have the cacophony and bustle. I’ll save my energy for after they are back on their ships and roads. I’ll watch the sunset from a hill and see the lights change the complexion of the city. Taking my time until they’re back in their rooms and I have the streets to myself, sharing with nobody but history. I’m never lonely, just comfortably alone. ☺️

Great question! Long ago, there was a famous incident where someone cheated on a game show. They even made a movie about it! So now, they have people off camera watching each couple to make sure no cheating happens. There was one answer that I gave that wasn’t exact and the judges gave it to me, remember?
Assuming the newlyweds live in an apt, not necessarily but probably so, where would they have room for a billiard table? If my husband and I won the NG, I would want a bedroom set. Our bed was given to us by my parents, who had it for as long as I remember before passing it onto us.

That pool table looked pretty cheesy where I would have sold it also! I actually waited until my late 30s to marry the woman that I loved. Many of my friends who married young had similar consequences such as what you experienced.
