A walk around Mount Pilatus, September 2022

One of my favorite walks in Switzerland! Mount Pilatus is the legendary burial site of Pontius Pilate. You get to the peak and this series of tunnels by means of a couple aerial gondola rides, then you get down via one of the steepest train rides I've ever been on! If you go to Switzerland, I highly recommend this day trip!

I’d heard so much about this view and the crowds it draws, I decided to go see it for myself at 7am. Amazing how so much had to happen to make this one little view possible!

@@thetribeoffive5675 I was wrong about the year when I wrote the title… we were married in June of 1978. According to the announcer, we had been married 7 months as of the taping, so that makes it January 2079.

@@ginaa284 Hi Gina! Thanks for your kind words. We sold the billiard table right away. At that age, who has the room? lol We were very young and grew apart, but we’re both living happy lives now!

Live the wild hair. I remember watching this with my mom when I was so very young. Don't think she was too fond of the show though. 😂
My dad was mortified that we would reveal so much private stuff on tv.. Ozzie and Harriet we weren’t! I have no regrets and have these fond memories instead!
As to the wild hair, there was a TV star named Farrah Fawcett at the time….. google her and you’ll see that hairstyle!

Do they ask each couple what they would like as a prize?
They give you a list of about 15 grand prizes and you pick the 8 you’d like the most. I believe this one was labeled “game room”

Assuming the newlyweds live in an apt, not necessarily but probably so, where would they have room for a billiard table? If my husband and I won the NG, I would want a bedroom set. Our bed was given to us by my parents, who had it for as long as I remember before passing it onto us.
We had a house, but the pool table would have taken most of it up. I sold it and bought a washer and dryer. Those came in a lot handier! 😄

@rncook2471 good question! We were all given a list of possible prizes and had to pick 8 that we wanted most…. So I’ll be we all had “entertainment room” as one of our top 8, or they’d have to have a whole bunch of showrooms ready to show with a minute’s notice!
