- Jacqui was prescribed Kesimpta (ofatumumab) shortly after #NICE approved it for use in the UK. She takes us through her experiences from choosing to using. Spoiler alert: she loves it!
Professor Gavin Giovannoni has just written at some length about the choice between ofatumumab (Kesimpta) and ocrelizumab (Ocrevus) here: gavingiovannoni.substack.com/... A very accessible piece and as little technicalities as possible. A worthwhile read.

theMSguide.com is just me and is costing me money to run. If you can help out, even with a small amount, then I am extremely grateful. Thank you. You can send me some loose change here:

Self-injection is no fun *and* gets easier. Thank you for walking us through your experience as a trailblazer Jacqui! And thank you, Dom for bringing these practical videos to us.
P.S. Back when I was on Betaseron, I was instructed to wrap my sharps bin in duct tape and throw it in the trash! Lame.
I'm in the UK, been on it since December 2021 with no issues. I think it's amazing, so easy to use.
Thanks for de video and the info!! In Spain its not available for the moment (at least not in my hospital) but I think It will be soon
I’m on Kesimpta and I take it every 4th week which is every 28 days. Sometimes it can make me feel rubbish and others it really helps. Next one is my 10th jab and I think it’s doing wonders
I was diagnosed in July 2021 (UK based) and was offered Ocrevis or Kesimpta (by offered I was sent two glossy brochures produced by the manufacturers) and told to pick one. With the help of UA-cam I chose Kesimpta and started with the jabs in December 2021. It’s really easy to administer, it doesn’t hurt - initially it feels like pinging an elastic band against your skin but that lasts 1 second if that and I’ve also been quite lucky with no side effects. I would echo Jacqui’s comments that it doesn’t disrupt your life and although I’m new to this it seems to be the main aim for anything MS related.
That is brilliant to hear. I’ll let Jacqui know.
I am in the states and Kesimpta is an injectable here and prescribed the same.
I asked about switching to Kesimpta from Ocrevus because of the convenience but I never got an answer. I go for my 6 month check next week and I won’t leave until I have an answer.
I’ll touch base with you on what answer I get. 😉
Best of luck.
Good luck! 🤞
Well, if I would like to switch, I got the green light. I would just have to wait six months after my last Ocrevus infusion. I’m going to do a little more research and let them know if I want to make the switch.
Makes me a bit nervous because Ocrevus is working well, so I really need to weigh the pros and cons.
