  • Today we maxed out the acceleration settings in the app to 100% and took the Inmotion on it's first real test, a highway. The adrenaline was through the roof after just minutes holding top speed. The Inmotion RS is clearly only for the most advanced riders looking to feel everything that a hyper scooter can offer.
    Full review will be out soon! Scooter is available here:
    store.inmotionworld.com/colle...
    Disclaimer: Please don't think you can buy this as your first scooter and ride like this right away. I've been riding electric scooters for about 7 years now, about 5 years on power scooters of daily riding. It's crucial to progress your way from baby scooters to mid range to high end, this is how you develop the muscle memory and the skills to ride at faster and faster speeds. Please gear up and always maintain a safe following distance, especially at higher speeds.

    👀 Dude, cool video & awesome scooter. I definitely want one. However, some of us have different definitions of “highway”. I’m from Chicago, so the road you were traveling on is considered a “back road” in several states. 😄😏

    Very nice Video man! 😎👊. Yeah, i didn't do a video about top speed because they didn't sponsor me, man so i cant risk damaging such an expensive scooter at my expense if i get into an accident all they offered was an Affiliated link with inmotion so what i did was a BIG Guy Eco mode range test and called it a day lol. That adrenaline must have felt awesome my bro. 🙌

    That is soooooo good! I see you have a different handlebar, grips, and throttle. I’m curious about where you got the grips? Do you have any link? Also how is that thumb throttle. I’m aware of the type of throttle that it comes with. That seems dangerous. That thumb throttle is way better. Which thumb throttle is that and does it have any dead zone?

    • @ScootaGang
      @ScootaGang  2 місяці тому +2

      The thumb throttle is right on Inmotions website, it's plug and play. Best thumb throttle I have tested based on the amount of thumb movement and mapping. The dead zone seems higher in lower gears and more instant throttle in gear 4 so it's nice you can ride to your own style.

    I live in a rural area and I regularly ride on the highway... if your legs are tired you should play with your stance. At speed I try to stand straight with knees only slightly bent, ready to react. But I find that if my foot is too bent (on the kickplate) or my knees are too bent it's a lot more tiring. I can ride for at least an hour at 55 without getting too tired.

    I have around 1450 miles on mine in a couple of months and the extra traction from the slicks seems tempting but spring/fall are pretty rainy here and I'm not sure how they'll do in actual wet conditions should I need to ride after it rains. Which slicks did you go with? They have an R (softest), T41 (medium), and a T4 (hardest of the three) but they're all still softer than the Stradale.

      I think the main reason people love the Klima is the 40amp controllers. The Vsett 10+ is a bit out dated these days, it has 30a squarewave controllers that can do 35a for 2 minutes only. While the Klima has 40 amp sinewave controllers so they run more powerfully yet still more efficiently. If you aren't concerned about acceleration, Vsett is still a great scooter, they have a new Apex line that should be coming soon here

    They really nailed it with the RS, damn near perfect! I have to laugh when I hear or see comments about this model or another is a few mph faster... How much faster do you really need or want to go on a stand-up scooter with little wheels??? These things are already dangerously fast as it is! If you need 60+ mph, get a motorcycle or something better suited for those speeds before you seriously injure yourself or someone else! All these hyper scooters legit have more power and speed than they should to begin with... Enjoy, but respect them!

Not a lot of people talk about it, but Vsett 11+ rear footrest has a silicone insert that makes it super soft and comfortable to stand on. Will prob try something similar with some silicone soft material on the RS footrest just to reduce the rear leg fatigue.

      They have always charged a hefty premium for their scooters for essentially cool lights in my opinion. They were an early leader but really haven't innovated in awhile.
      Don't get me wrong I would love to test the X out but I would also never pay for it, they will have to send it to me for free. I've had a dualtron thunder in my shop for repairs and had to turn it away. It's the only brand I won't work on. They purposely make things difficult to repair and are lagging behind very far in that which is very important to me. They need to update the scooters to make it more user friendly to repair for me to be really interested in them at this point. Their new brand Teverun are the updated dualtrons, but what is new and novel there?

    I recently changed the thumb throttle on my new burn e 2 Max to the Poland finger throttle and it's so much better to me. It was dicey for me going those speeds and the dead zone on the thumb throttle. Didn't like it. RS looks like a beast as well

      Tough choice, can't really go wrong with either. Depends if you want a super soft suspension or a stiff one? Nami better for cruising and RS for racing so what you gonna use it for mostly?

    • @cocoabiscuits
      @cocoabiscuits 2 місяці тому +1

      @@ScootaGang cruising 100% not to mention how long has Nami been on the market and many of the issues addressed on the max? RS is beautiful and internals immaculate with the spacing of the controllers but time will tell the quality and if the inmotion first gen RS will encounter break downs. How inmotion will improve the RS is key. Or they may scratch the RS after a few years?
      I like Nami because Michael Sha faced the big issues early on and improved on those issues. The design is unlike any other toy looking hyper scooter out there with the tubular design and motorcycle esque look and feel. Cruising all day for me so Nami is my winner. I'm super bias though obviously 😆

      Depends on your local laws, but almost everywhere It's a gray area, especially because the laws are already out of date. Lot of them were written before hyper electric scooters even existed. It gets more complicated because you have to consider city ordinances, county, and state law as you move across boundaries. LIke in this ride I started in Coralville, then was in North Liberty, then on a highway in johnson county outside of city limits, each has their own scooter laws. It's going to be a nightmare for a long time, but I think officers realize that most people are obeying the local traffic laws and scooters in general aren't a problem.

  • @brandonbajc2084

    Aren't the brakes amazing on the RS?! On my other scooters I have to squat and push all my weight to the back when I brake. On the RS its just a smooth stop like your in a car! Don't have to shift your weight or anything!
    I raced my neighboor on his 4 wheeler against me on my RS and I smoked him haha!

    • @ScootaGang
      @ScootaGang  2 місяці тому +2

      For sure that's half the brakes being good but also the stiff suspension. Lot of scooters have excess forward and back tipping when you accelerate and brake, makes the scooter seem super unstable. RS def has that under control and scooter stays very flat under acceleration and braking. Rides fantastic!

      So much comes down to personal preference and looks. Because the specs are very close on the high end and they all share similar brakes and tires. At the end of the day, buy a scooter you want and it will make you happy, all 3 of those you mentioned are solid choices I don't think you can go wrong with any of those three. Prob my top 3 right now tbh but the Vsett Super should really be in the mix too. Little slower but really really my favorite suspension.

    • @EricGonzalez-bd1qd
      @EricGonzalez-bd1qd 2 місяці тому +1

      @ScootaGang so I think I'm going with the Nami Burn-E 2 Max!!! After looking at specs for all of the scooters, I think the Nami is the best bet, considering it's the lightest of the bunch! They all have very similar specs but 100lb is already super heavy. The Nami is 103lb while the rest of the scooters are close to 120lb, or more! Mainly leaving this comment for anyone who is trying to chose as well. I think the Nami is best choice based on power/weight ratio and even price.

      It is, but some of these states don't trip, if you're not trippin. My scooter doesn't go 60+ but it can hit 50, and certain roads you're OK. Mine has turn signals, but still. Some places enforce though.

    You’re not allowed on a highway you think?

      This highway I don't see any problem myself, bicycles are allowed to ride on it too, it's only 50-55 mph speed limits. I won't be going on the interstate until I have a scooter that can sustain 75 mph up hills.

      You ride the interstate shouldn’t it say no bicycles or mopeds

    Vsett 11+ Super72 is too fast and too dangerous for me. Vsett 10+ is my max speed and is already fast enough for me. I max out at 75 km/h (47 mph) GPS.

      That was a great scooter while I had it but was never in stock and nobody could order it so I had to get rid of it. Rides great they just could never get the distribution up and the price down

      I've hit 75 km/h (47 mph) GPS a little downhill and 72 km/h (45 mph) GPS on a flat surface.

      @@panukornrojanasomsith3304yea, 50 is about my limit. I live in a hilly area so power is cool for me but I don't need the extra speed.

      All highways are dangerous for anything without 4 wheels and an airbag, and people still die with those. If you're scared, just say so.
