Interesting as it might be, Jamie Lee Curtis herself said everything about the sausage-hand universe, the relationship, the struggle all have been adequately expressed in about 45 seconds of screentime
Exactly, I like Jackie Chan but this role was meant for Yeoh. She imparts a level of gravitas to key emotional scenes that I don't think Chan would have been able to pull off.
Let's not compare them. They are both legendary actors and Jackie would have also done a great job, I am sure. I do believe it though that the mother-daughter chemistry that Michelle brings with Stephanie Hsu is the reason why her casting was a masterstroke.
Michelle Yeoh for some reason is just a fountain of wisdom, and is always so eloquent with her words. You can tell she chooses her words carefully and is a fantastic communicator.
06:30 not only did she multi the verse, she multied the verse so hard that no one will ever be able to live up to it. MCU should just pack their things and go home. The genre is finished now, she completed it.
Marvel would need the entirety of phase 5 and 6 to compete with this movie. Would be a lot of fun if at some point in the last Avengers, they reference this movie like they did with Back to the Future in Endgame.
I just watched it last night and it was a wacky ride but it made me feel everything the movie set out to do which is a fractured family coming together through the multi verse. Fantasy story told through my favorite genre: sci fi, comedy and family drama. I’m so happy JLC & MY have this incredible connection and love for each other. I absolutely did not expect this film to reach my feels like it did:) ❤
Ms. Yeoh ... I love you too. If you ever feel like letting Ms. Curtis go and accept me, I would like to live the rest of my life with you too. Just saying. I think we can make things work. What incredible women you all are, wow !!!
What a strange woman. The father Curtis I can still grasp. Bulldozer energy, which as well got extinct through age and death. But Jaime Lee is so artificial.
@@dgstamper1 I think she could be (i asume) a deeply derranged or sad or dissapointed person. But even then there is no shame to admit it and have a brief but serious interview. People appreciate more truelly heartfelt comments on work or live.
@@DanJackson1977 My nation builds machines, weapons, cars, kitchen devices and airplanes. My father, uncle and great grandfather were machine engineers. So what kind of Amish am I ? Apart from that the Amish were originally from the Netherlands. And they can build great ships. I am not Dutch. I belong to a much greater nation.
This movie could’ve been great if it just stayed as a spoof of Hollywood sci if’s and Hong Kong martial arts films, but it also tried to be meaningful about family. Too bad. If they left off the last hour and made it a shorter, tighter comedy film this would’ve been a hit.
Well if I remember right, Daniels said that this movie was ultimately a family story disguised as an action comedy. So, the choice was intentional. I’m guessing you’re not a big fan of family stories in general.
I disagree so very intensely. The whole movie _is_ a family drama, without that emotional core it has no backbone, it's just a flashy floundering pile of nothing. The central idea of family being torn apart by misunderstanding and miscommunication gives the movie all its thematic and intellectual weight
Will sign petition for a spinoff of the sausage-hand ladies.
Interesting as it might be, Jamie Lee Curtis herself said everything about the sausage-hand universe, the relationship, the struggle all have been adequately expressed in about 45 seconds of screentime
Oh man, Jackie Chan had his time to shine.
This role belonged to Yeoh and she owned it.

If the movie was with Chan none of you would have been "Yeoh should have the role", wouldn't even cross your minds. Movie marks i swear.
@@disliked1390 this!!!!
Jackie has an estranged lesbian daughter who is homeless. It would ruin the movie.

Jamie Lee has always been a beauty and she looks better and better with each passing year. She is ageing so gracefully!
I’m impressed with the host Nikki. She actually watched the film and asked great questions. Great interview!
They should have another movie together again!
Another movie together!!! YES!! I can't wait to see a movie of them, JLC and MY, together!!

😅😄😂
Shut up kid, just because EEAAO is better than any MCU movie doesn't mean they are finished

@@jjstarrprod I know, I am just saying that one amazing movie doesn't finish things for a franchise which is fully different from it
Love both accomplished actresses. Can't wait to see them work together again in the future.
I like how prophetic it is to watch the interviewer say they all deserve nominations, seeing how most of the cast has been nominated for an Oscar.
OMG they're wearing matching jade circle rings! I LOVE.
👍🙌❤️
Michelle Yeoh gave the ring to Jamie after Jamie fell in love with Michelle's ring! 😍
Truly one of the best films in a long time ~ 2022 Academy Awards material.
This was a great interview and I had a blast hearing all their responses
Key Huy Quan has the cutest voice 🥰
He was so great in the movie. Made me cry. They all made me cry. Michelle, Stephanie Hsu etc. Everyone was so good.
Just saw the movie. What an emotional rollercoaster. (This is a good thing.)
Great interview!! Great movie!!! Thanks to everyone involved in making the movie!!!
I love love love love love it when Jamie talks about her film. She’s so fun to listen to and so thoughtful.

This film is a masterpiece
Two legends in the same film
Omfg!!! Preach Jamie, preeeqcchhh!!!! Your works and this film have h a d a profound effect on more peoples lives than ye may know. Thank you for that
Probably the best mindjob since the Matrix! But FAR more hilarious!
mindjob lol

Excellent movie and you’re a very good interviewer. Thanks for sharing
Excellent questions! Great stuff!
Love this film - will be watching it again and again.
Jamie lee and Michelle is the new Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen
I can see this movie being celebrated for their 10th, 20th and etc anniversary in future. Cult classic
Love the matching rings!
Gotta love your IRS auditor but you really gotta mean it!😜
That family drama about and starring Kevin Feige sounds as insanely fun
Cult classic in the making🤩
Omg. The emojis in the bottom corners of the interview are iconic. 😂💙😝
Jamie lee was awesome in this role.,scary and hard to recognize.
These must be the rings Jamie was talking about in the ET interview ❤
(bad guy lands on b-plug)
Bad guy: Kung Fu (looks at Michelle) i know kung fu
Michelle: show me
“Strange little film” little did she know 😂
Great questions for an excellent movie!
This interview is great and Michelle looks so pretty here
EEAAO is not just a movie, it is an experience.
They were so funny
They both have bagel rings!
Do they have the same ring?
5:09 Thank you for the explaination lol I was so confused
is she from the movie true Lie ?
I ship it!
I wonder what the story is behind their matching green circular rings.
22:25 Jackie chan was the original actor chosen? Oh no, he's a terrible actor but good martial arts comedian.
trippin
They have the same donut ring
While watching the movie, I had no idea that was Jamie Lee Curtis in the movie.
That tax lady scares me. She was so freaky.
@@walden6272 The whole movie is freaky. Need to watch it again.
Bravo 🙂
haha beautiful mang
💖💖
What's the head of Marvel?
Professor Xavier?
No, Kevin Feige.
💚🥰💚
But plug ❤️🤣
I AM GENTLEMAN PEACE HEART
OMG!!!!!!!
I wasn’t into how much the interviewer insisted on marvel like they clearly have their own creative ideas and want that freedom on set, take a hint!
They both even wear similar rings 😬
No

"The father Curtis"? What are you, Amish? Sorry, nah, that's just the way Jamie is. It's not forced, shes an in your face extrovert.
