Besides being an amazing singer she is an amazing person. Fame hasnt gine to her head. She isnt a diva. She is down to earth, has a limitned filter and is so funny. Her talk show is great. Just love her al all the way around. So glad you've become a fan!
I can't think of anyone more versatile than Kelly Clarkson. She can perfectly sing Rock, Pop, Country, R&B, Jazz, Dance... you name it.
The sign of a great singer is that they sound just as fabulous live as they do on their record. Kelly nails it every single time. Amazing! Kelly as well loved in the country community and she is a vocal beast in just every single genre.
I blacked out after the second verse watching her while in the audience. I was so captivated lol
Both of these are performances from this year, 2023. Her voice live is so consistent and awesome, it’s no wonder she is asked to sing at major events and award shows. Love that she is so appreciative of others around her, frequently calling out the band and team members for their work. She also is quick to praise other singers and artists, refusing to see them as competitors. She often says that there are many different voices and talents out there and room for everyone.
Kelly won a Country Music Award for a duet she did with Jason Aldean called Don't you wanna stay.
She says for now she isn’t able to travel as much as in the past as her two young kids come first. She is a single parent and NBC was willing to move her highly rated talk show to New York per her request to be closer to her family. The show schedule works well for her and her kids with their school schedule, so for now her touring is limited, especially overseas.
Would love for you to hear her performance of “The Dance” at the Garth Brooks tribute at The Kennedy Center. It’s less about her flashy vocals and all about her depth and restraint. It’s sublime, and Garth’s reactions to her are fantastic.

Kelly can sing any genre of music. She always connects emotionally with the song, and she has an extremely likable and relatable personality.
She is sooo amazing in her live performances as well as her recordings. It’s not easy to keep your pitch when singing outside and when it’s cold outside and it was cold that night. She’s just so amazing!
She was the first American Idol 20 years ago when she was just 20 years old. She does have a country theme but she sings all types of music. She’s from Texas so country music is her first love but I love her voice in any genre. ❤ She always nails it! She recently did one of Cher’s new Christmas songs on her talk show during her Kellyoke and it’s a 70’s type of song- typical Cher- and she nailed it, even Cher commented on how wonderful Kelly’s performance was of her song.
My lord if you like this you'll have to see Santa, can't you hear me with Arianna Grande or Under the Mistletoe with Brett Etheridge to other absolute classics and different...totally awesome

The Dance done at the Kennedy Center for Garth Brooks and a duet she did on her show with Teddy Swims called I Loose Control.
Highly respected by country music despite only having success there as a duet partner. So much respect that when they need someone to showcase in an artist tribute, they often call on her. She’s done Reba, Garth, and more, most notably singing Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You” a couple years back on the ACM Awards.
I love how you do multiple versions of the same song sometimes. You could get two versions of I Will Always Love You by doing that ACM performance as well as Mixtape Medley she did with Ariana Grande. Highly recommend! One of the greatest vocalists singing the greatest song .
She is from Texas loves country and country loves her! She has done some colabs with country singers on their albums and even won a country music award for it! "Don't you wanna stay" with Jason Aldean. The country fans are pleading with her to do a full on country album! I think she shoud...

I enjoy your Kelly reactions so much! I’m so glad I found your channel. I’ve been a fan of hers since American Idol in 2002. She’s gotten better and better over the years and she always sings live. The Opry performance is actually from a couple of weeks ago I believe. Please react to her duet with Teddy Swims on her show, song is called “Lose Control.” It’s Teddy’s song and Kelly sings the harmonies. It’s amazing, so soulful. Have a wonderful Christmas! ❤❤❤

Kelly Clarkson's agility over the years is undeniable. When most singers tend to suffer and lose their over time, she's been able to not only maintain it, but keep it stronger than it has EVER been.
To my knowledge Kelly is respected in all categories of music, i think her talent with her passion for music and the way she expresses it emotionally and vocally. As you said in a previous video on her covers, she doesn't shame the artist she holds it true but adds her own spin to it or her interpretation. Kelly is just one of those rare spirits that we get to be blessed with!

You have got to react to Kellys live performance of Since U Been Gone from MTV's VMA's in 2005... It is a completely raw performance of the song and IMO one of her best!

The ASCAP just came out with a new top ten for modern (less than 20 years since being written) Christmas songs which had this song at #1 and another of her songs, Santa Can't You Hear Me, at #6. The performance at the opry was this year also.

I just saw your review of Because of You. It's one of her early career songs and it was written about her relationship with her father. She's also known for changing things up in a live performance from what the recording was. She also doesn't warn her band yet they know her so well they keep up with whatever changes she makes.

both performances were from this season. yes 2023, even the opry one. she lost a bunch of weight recently and suddenly shes looking like she was 2 decades ago. i dunno how she did it. she’s found the fountain of youth i guess.
and of course her voice is the one thats always been great regardless of her weight. the voice’s always BIG and the mic is always ON.

The opry version of underneath the tree is from 2-3 weeks ago. Her underneath the tree song and the album it was on is from 10 years ago. I love your channel!! 🎉 you need to do Santa, can’t you hear me her duet with Ariana Grande and her duet with Brett Eldridge Under the mistletoe… so good!! She's said that they don't rehearse before the Kellyoke songs. She tells the band and they just adapt to how she wants to sing it. Her band is AWESOME and can always keep up!
Yes - recommend everyone watch behind the scenes with Jason and Jaco on The Kelly Clarkson Show youtube channel. They have 2 or 3 episodes from their last season in LA where Jason shows how they break down tracks for the different musicians, guidance Kelly gives on how she wants to interpret different songs for Kellyoke so he can adapt them for their show, etc. It's a remarkably talented team in every facet.

Country duets to check out with Kelly are Keeping Score (Dan & Shay), Don’t You Wanna Stay (Jason Aldean), I Would Have Loved You (Jake Hoot).
She also does great tributes of Fancy (Reba), The Dance (Garth Brooks), and she did a crossroads version of her song Because of You with Reba.

She's been at the Opry a couple of times on her own and to perform duets. (She mostly does tribute stuff in Nashville but she lived there when her and Brandon first got married, so she's known and respected in that community) In this instance, Wynonna Judd asked Kelly to perform on her TV special which was filmed there. This is a totally different look for the Opry. I believe the band is a mix of people they got to perform, not Opry specific, because one of Kelly's semi-regular back up singers, Aaron Encinas helped get the BGVs for this show. Also I think this was filmed a couple months ago if I have my timing right, because you can see Kelly has lost a little more weight and changed up the hair in the Rockefeller performance which actually was this month.
You should watch the next year's award show. She was in terrible pain threw her whole performance. She had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery .
She now. Hosts a talk show in AMERICA but she starts every show showcasing a new song you can find them on u tube pls check them out she is outstanding in her vocals
Both performances were this month, the second one was just done this week at the grand ole opry, she has been here in Scotland and England but it was years ago, vocally she just gets better I went to see her live in Vegas this year and she sold out every night for her shows. I think all of the other singers lip-synched during the Rockefeller Tree Lighting show. Kelly Clarkson did NOT!! The girl has a fabulous voice!! One of her songs from Breakaway actually gave me the courage to move from Florida to Utah for a tech job. She has history with Country music. Some duets and performances at the Grand Ole Opry. She was married to Reba Macentire's step-son. I don't listen to Country so I would have to look up artists she worked with.

Have you heard Emma Kok sing Voila with Andre Rieu’s orchestra? I think it’s up to about 37 million views now and it’s from a few months ago. She is 15 years old. I recommend you listen to the introduction as well as the song. She sings it in French but it is so powerful you don’t need the translation. That being said when you listen and have the translation… mind blown. Seriously… a first time reaction here would be amazing. Just listen to it (I’ve watched it probably 50 times… it’s emotional and moving)

She actually just this week did this song as a jazz version on her tv show as a kellyoke! I'm sure you would enjoy that one! It was pretty stripped back version!
She used to live in Nashville (She's from Texas so has always loved country music.) and she has performed on the country awards and dueted with multiple country singers (reba, Blake Shelton, garth brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Jason Aldean, Dolly Parton come to mind) and is friends with many (reba, Blake Shelton, garth brooks, Trisha Yearwood seem the closest to her). She has never relesed a country album, but has always said that one day she will. Reba was her favorite growing up and when she won American idol she was able to duet with her the first time (over 20 years ago). They became friends and still are. They performed on crossroads (a show on cmtv) were they dueted each others songs. After that they recorded because of you as a duet and did a tour together singing their songs together (or solo). Rebas ex husband was Kellys manager for awhile and Kelly married his son (who also became her manager). They have two kids together but are now divorced. Her newest album chemistry was written during and after the divorce. He wasn't a nice man.

Kelly hasn't been touring lately because she's a single parent with young kids and she films her talk show weekly (most weeks) normally from august to may/June. She enjoys working but nowadays also prioritizes her free time (and time with her kids). This year she did 10 shows in Vegas and also is back there for two shows for new years and two shows in February when the Super Bowl is in Vegas. When she was touring before and came to Europe she always had shows in the UK. I don't atm see it really likely that she will be back to world touring. Maybe in the future, but I think more Vegas shows would be more likely as it's easier to arrange in her busy schedule. I'm hoping she will also do shows in New York were she now lives.
Great synopsis, and I too was blown away by her duet with Teddy Swims. I would love for her to do an album of duets including him. Also, this performance was this year.

I just your review of Kelly doing Underneath the Tree on her show for a Kellyoke. She had to completely change it from the original recording to fit the time slot for the show. You should look for the original from her album Wrapped in Red. It's totally different but awesome.

Awesome! If you want to react to a Christmas performance - Mariah Carey O Holy Night LIVE ABC Christmas Special 2010. She was pregnant during this time and she killed it, absolutely stunning with the choir - her voice was really healthy and better than ever. Really really awesome.
