Rob St Make an indie game and send it to a game development company. If you work really hard and make something good I would be willing to bet that a game company in America or Canada or the UK will help you get citizenship. Canada has a program called the Skilled Workers Program where if you have a college degree you can find a job in Canada, live there for three years and pay them 1200 bucks and boom you're a citizen. Get a degree in mexico and then apply at a gaming company in Canada and apply for the skilled workers program. There's lots of big development companies in Canada, Ubisoft has a huge studio in Montreal. Go for it man!

Canada and the UK sound great, however I did not get my college degree, I had to drop out of school in order to work and help my parents when I was just about to graduate. Unfortunately I cannot go back to school since the school's regulations state that once a student is out, is out for good, so I would have to start all over on another institution/school. At this point I can barely afford my own expenses and also I'm not eligible for education scholarships. So in my spare time I try to make something like programming projects such as games or basic systems to keep learning.
Rob St Just don't give up man. Unity, Unreal Engine 4 and Source Engine 2 are all free to download now and there are lots of great tutorials on how to make games in them on UA-cam. Particularly for Unity. Also if you go to codecademy.com or W3schools.com there are great tutorials on programming and if you make some good stuff I'm sure a gaming company would be able to use your skills. Just keep at it man. Even if you can't get a degree you can still prove your skills. You can do it.

My dream job is to work as a Game Artist for a video game company and do the 3D modeling for either characters or the environment. I'm currently attending a vocational high school to take a course on design, and I believe that in a year or so, my class will be learning how to model things in a 3D rendering program.
I loved Origin.... Probably the best gaming studio ever... I still buy and play games chasing the feeling that studio gave me every time I played one of their games.

Then and only then, if someone see's my determination and work they'll possibly hire me. I don't plan to be an editor which is one of my flaws, had a friend who wanted to be a director, but he ended up becoming an editor which kind of makes me back off on the editing bit. But in the end I really hope my writing, acting and directing are the only things noticed.
