Except for america actually. They lost in both the revolutionary and also pretty much lost in the war of 1812. I mean it was kind of a draw but mostly america succeeded in reducing their power over the Great Lakes and also wiped them out in at least two battles. Actually america beat them in so many battles it almost seems ridiculous. Even when America was mostly untrained and the French weren’t supporting Americans still won a ton of battles and the ones they lost weren’t really losses as the English took twice the causalities like at bunker hill. They also lost a battle to African tribespeople who literally had sticks. The English are very French like and that extreme overconfidence does not always help. Probably a large contributing factor to their fall. They managed to hold onto the Falklands which even that took massive effort on their side.

He’s got one that’s a 20 something min clip called “Nations” where he goes around a globe talking shit about everywhere & I lost it once he got to the US bc I live just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee & I definitely didn’t expect him to mention it in his rant about how nowhere is better that Britain. Which is him playing a character btw. Part of his act is basically Ripping on people through the character lens, which is satire, the character himself is a stereotype. So every stereotype he rips on, is in a way him ripping on British National Identity more than anything else. It's quite clever. Its in a way taking a big dump on pro imperialist part of British identity which still exists to this day in an odd way. Al's roasting is pretty savage of other nations, but that is also part of the stereo type his character is.The Pub Landlord cant possibly admit anyone does anything better than Britain, in particular England, because it would break the complicated illusion the character has built for himself, so instead he makes jokes about other nations. Its almost like South Park in that way, i feel both have similar ways of framing the character even if Al Murray is stand up and South Park is a comedic Cartoon. I think its not obvious to people not from or living in the UK, just how much is character.

Living in the UK myself (Nr Bristol) and recently visited the USA I can hand on my heart say "Were not that different" and like any family its good to take the piss out of each other. That doesn't mean we dont like you , its a sign we want you to be friends. In English comedy at the moment there are no comedians I know of making jokes about the Russians attempted war ..... they are doing a good enough job on their own !!! Humour is a shared bond and we dont always agree with US policy but we can see what the world would look like without your presence.
It would look a lot better without the other countries being couped, bombed, sanctioned, destabilised and their resources stolen using those over 800 overseas military bases. Germany would still have Nordstream, the cheap Russian gas and its industries without the US. In Ukraine for example that 5 billion that Victoria Nuland said they put into Ukraine which involved overthrowing the elected Ukrainian president Yanukovich in 2014 which led to the war in Ukraine, the plan discussion even being recorded of Nuland and the US Ambassador Jeffery Pyatt discussing it. This was the prelude to US / NATO flooding Ukraine with weapons which they used on the civilians in eastern Ukraine many of whom were ethnic Russians and had not appreciated having their elected president overthrown and a new regime installed by a foreign power who then set about killing the civilians living in the Donbass, eastern Ukraine.

Without the US, Ukraine would not have lost its territory, its sovereignty, around 500,000 dead Ukrainians or a generation of people, or had its country sold off to Blackrock and Mon Santo. All it had to do was implement the agreement which it signed, the Minsk agreement, which was guaranteed by France and Germany, and ratified by the UN Security Council which was therefore international law.
The Russians are not the joke, we are when we set about killing people to try and TAKE their commodities and Balkanize their country rather than simply trading with them and buying their goods in good faith. Which was what Yanukovich the elected Ukrainian president wanted to do, which led to the US funded coup in 2014, he wanted to trade and be on good terms with his neighbour Russia and with the west.
So now we have cut ourselves off from Russian energy and Ukraine is losing badly and we are cutting ourselves off from oil and energy from the Middle East as we are facilitating a genocide in Gaza. If we get what we want in the Middle East, that is what Israel wants, we all will lose.

We Brits like to poke fun at everyone including ourselves, we call it banter and everyone is fair game, I give my friends a lot of stick and I take a lot back too, but it doesn't work with British women, they don't really have a sense of humour and can get easily offended so it's just a male trait.
