- Hey guys welcome back to another video today we're playing some nolvus for once i generally avoided it because my fps would tank but after some optimization even i could play it, so i hope you guys enjoy!

I got this pack too, first downloaded it on my 3060ti laptop got around 32FPS to see how it would run, sounded like a jet engine though it wouldn't of help with it being a laptop. So I decided to play it on my RTX 4090, this and Lorerim are my favourite modpacks so far! Biggie_Boss is goated, I'm hoping he hops on fallout 4 and creates a modpack for the game, as there's not many!
Real I'd buy fallout just for a mod list from biggie. LoreRim is the best Skyrim I ever played.

Aye Master Cheese, I've had Nolvus for a while and to somewhat explain how some of the mods work, Static lvling is in this modlist but only if you had selected it in the autoinstaller before you download it. And im guessing you have it, so to increase your two handed skill, you have too sleep then a menu will pop up and you can start increasing your stats that way. you can also customize how many times you can upgrade a single skill, and how many points it takes to level a skill.
Nolvus uses Stances for animations for weapons. So if you have a greatsword, use "1" "2" "3" "4" to switch between them.

I’m going to be trying them all soon lol my internet providers going to hate me, and honestly I just enjoy making videos, I know I’m not as good at editing as syn or heavy burns but I just chalk that up to releasing 3x a week rather than once a month, but I do hope you stick around
Nolvus is not new. its a modlist that is many years old. the new version V6 wont be released yet either.

@@mastercheesey Well is there somehow a lesser version of nolvus that can run on a Asus Rog ally X because the X does have 24gb of ram for crying out loud and is zen 4? The Asus Rog Ally X should be able to handle some form of a heavily modded Skyrim? I mean there's so many options for Skyrim!?
I just finished a 250+hr play though of nolvus on a 3080TI laptop. And medium ini’s and medium LOD’s always over 60fps and over 100fps indoors with some exceptions that seem to very taxing.
6:20 that axe looks like one of Austio's Silver/Steelthorn weapons
Soo, there is a paid mod which is puredark, it is using fsr3 or dlss. So like 960p resolution upscaled to 1440p for examble without a noticeable loss of quality but you gain like 40 to 50 fps
I still use ultimate dodge mod 😭 it’s the only one I can get to work how I want it to

Which ENB did you use?
What variant of the modlist did you choose rudex or ultra also what ENB preset did you choose as well?
Ultra, which is why I had to optimize it for me , the redux version is definitely better for me though I just didn’t want to miss out.

you might want to avoid it lol i can barely handle it at a 3070 with optimization

I enjoyed Nolvus, but have since gone to NGVO and found its easier to personalize.
I 100% recommend ngvo to anyone looking to start a list and not worry about what to do , it’s so easy to use
You don't understand master cheesy. Some mods has complex meshes, jk's (some), great city of winterhold, cotn falkreath. Great city of winterhold gave me 11000 drawcalls and 15000 I think.
What optimization have you done?
Lossless upscaling and I used bethini medium preset, it has grass cache so I lowered display settings so no pop in is seen either and it really helped my pc
@@mastercheesey Nice video. In Nolvus you have to sleep to level up if you are using experience I think. We have a similar CPU, I have a 5600x and it's bottlenecking my rx 7800xt so some additional tweaks I did might help as well if you'll do a playthrough:
Setting iShadowMapResolution in skyrimprefs.ini from 2048 to 1024 but it might already be set like this on the medium preset.
Disabling resize bar in bios helped me a lot to get a way smoother game. But I don't know what effect it might have on Nvidia gpus.
Disabling SMT/Multithreading or using process lasso and disabling it there for Skyrim and putting Skyrim on Realtime priority and taking all possible higher CPU% processes away from the core that Skyrim is using.
Using lossless scaling frame gen 2.1 and locking frames to half whatever your monitor is and disabling vsync in Skyrim and using driver vsync if you prefer stable fps over 60fps with dips. I have a 75hz monitor so I locked my game to 37.5fps and it looks surprisingly good and runs well.
Overclocking gave a good boost to my fps especially in areas with a lot of draw calls but I reverted it because I wasn't able to get a stable overlock.
XMP in my bios was disabled because I did a bios reset and forgot to activate it again so that might be worth a check. Gave a up to 15fps boost in some places.
There is also a game mode feature for the CPU in the bios that helped make my CPU clock go higher with PBO when I turned it on.
