Pohx has the best league starter build guide I've ever seen. His website has literally everything you could possibly want for a new player, or new league starter. I test ran this last night on standard while playing his 1-10 youtube walkthrough and it was smooth as silk. Can't wait to do it again today.
One thing I will say as a new player is I love how many builds there are. It feels like there are so many with so many possibilities that everything feels new each league, at least to me. New mechanics, using a new build, just a ton of fun honestly, and huge thank you to everyone who take the time to create these kinda of build guides!!
Wait one week when someone found out a 2 chaos unique can abuse a certain skill on a certain ascendancy and the price will be skyrocketed 1000 fold. That's when the real fun started.
What he said, 10c budget leaguestarter build might become 2000c as prices fluctuate depending on demand and droprates.. or vice versa. Same affects endgame, that smooth leaguestarter might be really expensive to gear into red maps if plenty of people decide to play the same build. That being said, it IS fun trying some new build every league in addition to new league mechanics. This is just a "buyer be vary" sticker :D
I have started with RF for the past 3 leagues and the ONLY real genuine awesome advice I can give is simply this: if you're holding down your fire trap ability while standing still, be weary of your eyes glazing over, causing a cross eyed vision. That's literally it. Sometimes it's easy to watch the hp bar go to 50% and it immediately shoot back to 100%. But when it hits -30% you are essentially in one shot range. And if you're cross-eyed and spamming q (my fire trap button) you may just pop. Considering you literally "pop" mobs with infernal cry, you also are susceptible to the same thing. Though because of your negligence. Great tankiness comes with a lot of arrogance. So remember to use your eyes and your brain in tandem. Even if the build is so braindead in comparison to other builds
Usually I play rf jugg but you guys got me super excited for rf chieftain. I was not aware of the changes in ascendency and you gave me just the information I needed in a compact format. Great work guys

RF is always a safe bet. Since i dont have much time for the first days or even weeks of the league, i will probably go for the good old reliable RF to get some currencies before switching to something new and exciting. Can absolutely recommend this to newer players, nowhere else you could get more explanations and tips for a build. Almost every possible question you have or problem you encounter will be answered in pohx' wiki or in his many, many RF videos.
I lost three fingers on my left hand and two on my right from a wool press machine when I use to work on a sheep farm. Thankyou for considering disabilities, it makes playing the game a lot easy for me.
does it make a difference which start champion i choose? Im just starting to play, cuz it is written that i should not level magma rolling on poe building, but i dont know what exatcly that means when gems gain levels automaticly

@zizaran, which is the most newb friendly build from those that you just posted for the league that starts today? I'm literally just starting, my highest char so far is a level 15 ranger.
This Rf is really simple, since you have nothing to do to get the dmg out, you can watch around and learn the mechanics, also phox guide is the best, you can go to his website and 99% of the question you could ask are already explained
Not to take away from Ziz and Pohx and I'm sure neither would mind, but for those needing or just wanting a lower intensity style build or for those with disabilities, look up WreckerofDays. An amazing creator and just all around cool dude. If that was not cool to say here I do apologize.
I'd recommend, if you keep dying, try replacing Infernal Cry with Immortal call + Cast when damage taken. Also you don't get oneshot from ambush explosion, and it helped me pass the 93 LVL + go crazy fast with ambush farming.
Am thorn between Pohx's Chief RF and Onemanaleft Mjolnr archmage. Love RF, but i played 4 different RFs last league alone, maybe time for something new.
I wouldnt play a onemanaleft build unless you're prepared to dump a ton of currency into your character. I've played his builds many times, and there are lots of mistakes you can make, and they can get expensive really quickly.
This video contains several errors where Zizaran/Pohx mispeak and say the opposite thing from what they mean. This might be a non-issue for experienced players but it will probably confuse new players which is obviously the intended audience as the video contains no information an experienced player would not know.
all i want is lightning RF... that mobile galvanic self shock build where i can just run around and things die. not big on RF tho i like the play style
Rf is great, made POE less of a clickfest and less wrist pain for me. Though it would be nice if GGG put in a way to turn off or greatly reduce the circle ring. After levelling to like lvl95 it just became way too hard on my eyes with the burn in of the fat circle.
Man, I so wish you could level with RF. I have always wanted to play, but the leveling with melee skills is such a pile of dog manure, I can never make it to the point where you can use it. Molten Stike is the best you can get and its a horrible skill. Feels awful.
7k hours, i've played RF over 5 times.. I DO NOT recommend this for newbies. This struggles in exactly the parts of the game where newer friends have trouble in. + this build uses very complicated mechanics
rally don't want to play RF yet another league but melle is a fucking poopfest besidesbonezone and nothing else has peake my interest, guess it's back to what you know..

Yes. Pair it with flame wall for the extra damage and it should be fine
