  • Every small business needs a website....right? Not necessarily. Don't Build A Small Business Website Until you watch this. A neglected website can be worse than no website at all. If you don't keep your website up to date visitors may leave your site, or worse, you could get hacked.

I hear you. Updates need to be monitored very often. I started creating my own small business website based on all that I learned from your classes. While I have been going through the process of learning and doing, there have been so many updates nearly every other day to Wordpress and the various plugins that I have installed and been testing. It is a big job just to get organized and to get a business ready to be advertised via an active website. One Step At a Time and don't we all love puppies?

Rich, you look and sound better than the last post I saw. Are you over the hump with your health issue(s)? And are you back to your pre-health issues workload at 50% or greater? Cheers, Chuck

Definitely not at 100% yet. New doctors, new tests, new medication. Next doctor appointment is on Tuesday. Trying to keep it positive but still some stuff that's just not getting dealt with fast enough for my liking. So keep the positive thoughts and prayers are welcome.

Well, I look at the website as I do any part of the business - it all needs to be attended to, so that's not a problem for me. but I love the idea of having a dedicated client build progress page - great idea!!!

Rich, what version of Metashape are you using after WebODM processing you mentioned? Can’t justify the $4K pro version. Keep up the good work!

Just curious Rich, why do you continue to assist prior clients, if they don’t listen to your original advice? I don’t to seem derogatory, but, why spend time with them. I do understand, as I had my architectural firm for 40 years, and I always try to be helpful, but there are times as to questioning myself about certain clients.

Ah you really hit on something with that question. I continue to help them because of their employees. The owners dump a lot of work on the employees. Most employees at RV Parks and Resorts are "work campers". They get a price break on their sites in exchange for work. Thing is, many parks dump all the work on their work campers for little pay. Many work full time and make less than a new minimum wage. When these folks call me they're usually desperate for help and the owners expect them to do way more than any single job roll. Often work campers are really taken advantage of. One resort chain has a full time accountant who makes little for doing the work across more than 10 parks. She'd make more at a big box store.
So I continue to help because I feel bad about the position these folks are put in. The owners show feel shame.
